55This spot was just what we needed for this beautiful summer day!
55Great spot with lots of shade to stay cool on hot days. Creek wasn't very high this late in the summer but still enough to cool the dogs down. Definitely recommend!
55ALWAYS Enjoy our time here! Just Perfect! Thank You!
55Very nice place, lots of room to run, shade, places to sit. We will be back for sure. As description indicates, there are some unfenced ends of the creek.
55Perfect creek running through and lots of shade
55This place is great! My dog loved the creek and was able to play fetch.
55There were lots of options for seating around the area. Felt pretty secure despite the location being not fully fenced. Large area to play.
55This spot is a bit of a drive for us but well worth it. Such a beautiful area to explore. My dogs loved the creek. We loved watching them in the creek. Thanks for hosting!
55Exactly as described! Our dogs had a blast running around. The unfenced area around the creek was indeed unfenced, but there was plenty of space to explore and stay away. Will definitely be coming back again!
55Really cool sniff spot with a great variety of terrain - open grass, shaded woody area and a creek! Very fun to take our young puppy here to get some more off-leash experience.

Description

Private Dog Park on 1+ Acres near Mt. Scott Creek: We are a private park 5 minutes from Clackamas Town Center. A fully enclosed (1 acre) field and hills with Mt Scott Creek meandering through the lower field (the creek is not fenced at both ends). The creek runs all year; the water level reduces in the summer, but there are locations where dogs can still completely submerge themselves and cool off on hot days. In the winter, the water level rises and turns into rushing torrents after a few days of heavy rain. The entire acreage is pesticide-free, making it safe and ideal for dog owners who enjoy playing hide and seek with their pets. Rainy boots are recommended that one section of the lower field can get wet and muddy in the winter on rainy days, otherwise the majority of the fields, especially the upper fields, are completely dry. Sniffin' Hours: Monday through Sunday: 8 am to 9 pm (Spring & Summer) 8 am to 4:30 pm (Autumn & Winter) Our two 5-year-old Doberman and mastiff mixes will be indoor for the entire duration of your visit. Thank you for Sniffin' at our Spot! Daniel & family

Cleanliness

100% of guests said this spot was as clean as expected during their visit.

Hazards

There is a wooden stairs leading to the bridge, the stairs can be quite steep for dogs that pulled, you can release you dog at the gate (see photos for more details). The slope areas have some black berries creeping about. The slopes are quite steep with unmarked pathways, the lower and higher fields are flat but some areas are uneven with rocks and terrains, sections of the walking path along the creek near foothill side are narrow, so hiker beware and hiking shoes are recommended.

That is priceless to us when pups are having fun and exploring the surroundings at our Spot. My wife and I have lived on this 1.32 acre property since 1998. Looking forward to sharing our Spots with you.

Please read ALL descriptions (including photos) before entering property. We have 3 separate fields. Black berry bushes are very present in all fields. FIELD 1: Closest to busy road, least suitable for free-roam incase of delivery or neighbor utilizing third gate on easement. I consider this field “the buffer zone”. Best suited for dogs with proper recall skills. Orange flags indicate boundaries with a buffer to prevent trespassing onto neighboring property back into the woods. There are times when I have to leave or enter the property with my infant, which I will notify you if this is to happen during your visit. Our two dogs can be heard sometimes from this field (inside the house). You will find the 2nd gate entrance here, into field 2. Look for the black garbage can, as well as blue kiddy pool to navigate to field 2. FIELD 2: the best field! It is completely fenced in, private, and safe for dogs 15lbs and up- smaller dogs such as our 9lb dog need to wear a device to recall because fencing is large enough for them to escape through. The fencing is approximately 3’ high. Horses can be seen from this field on neighbor’s property, along with their dog, Cooper. It is sloped, which is excellent for exercise! There are trees blocking our house and windows for privacy, easy gate access, and accessible water. There is a nice view of Mt. Hood, and a couple of log benches around the property. I try my best to maintain and refresh a kiddy pool and the water bowl. Water access I strongly recommend against use during foggy periods for safety of your pets. Should a dog without proper recall training decide to wander off, you will have a LOT of ground to cover without much sight distance (on foggy days). is in field 1 by the house, please turn off with hose in “on” position to prevent built-up water pressure in the hose. Field 3: this is an excellent field for dogs with recall skills. Through the first two fields, is field 3, a property long and flat, one which openly borders our neighbor’s property. You must go through the gate at the bottom of field 2 to enter this field. While this field is technically entirely fenced, the entire property is not all ours, so we have marked boundaries using orange flags. Please reference photos for what these orange boundary flags look like. The orange flags indicate hazards along fence line, entrance to bee hives, and boundaries between properties. Cautions: Coyotes frequent this lower field on a weekly basis, so large dogs with proper recall training are advised only. I strongly recommend against use of this field during foggy periods for safety of your pets. Should a dog without proper recall training decide to wander off, you will have a LOT of ground to cover without much sight distance. Also, coyotes tend to be more active during these foggy periods. This field (field 3) is a split property (2 parcels), half ours, half theirs. The neighboring owners have bee hives! Please be mindful of bees, and maintaining general boundaries (see photos of orange flags designating boundary lines). It’s quite rugged, so be mindful of wild animal scat, mole holes, and uneven grass. There is a digging area here too. I have seen coyotes, skunks, deer, owls, a feral cat, and bunnies in this field. Horses and neighbor dog cooper are sometimes visible. Please contact me with any questions!
