55We had the best time here! Nice and spacious with secure fencing! Grateful for the toys, water and bin for toilet bags available. Mocha was living her best life doing laps around the field and even had a go on the confidence course. Great spot and will definitely be back soon.
55Took my young girl to have a play on the confidence course. She needs more confidence. We did go through the tunnel in the end..lol Awesome spot to have some fun without having to worry about strange dogs running up on you and your dog. Safe and secure. Fencing was great. Water for the dogs. Some balls to play with as well. Great communication also.
55Kruze had the best time ! Weather held off so we made the most of it. So much space for him to run free and obstacles to play on. Overall enjoyed it and definitely will be back again ! 😁
55Great spot to take the dogs. One of our dogs is reactive so we’re always on the lookout for private spots without dogs or stock.
55This a greater training area. Clean well maintained, save and my dog hade so much fun. I wish there was more areasike this around Auckland for a dog to train and just have fun safely.

55Perfect spot for my dog to build confidence. The agility equipment is more geared towards large/agile dogs, which was perfect for us. It's on a fair slope so easy exercise throwing tennis balls

55Astrid loved having the freedom to run around, she suffers with arthritis in her ankle so wasn’t too keen on doing much but had the best time otherwise. Will definitely bring her along again!
55My dog and I used this spot last weekend and it was very nice. My priority was good fencing as I have a reactive pitbull, a great nature with the family and home but can be reactive to people and dogs. I broke my ankle a number of months ago and am still recovering and can't walk long distances yet. So while there is a number of good quality and well designed obstacles for those looking for them, I loved the open field part where I could use a ball thrower to really get him running which is what he needed. A nice touch with water bowl and additional water which came in handy. A well thought out area. The roads getting there weren't too bad either for a rural setting. I briefly met the hosts who were friendly and welcoming. I will definitely be taking my dog there again and thank the hosts for making such a nice space available for our dogs.

Alex from Tautahi K9s (a retired Canine USAR search specialist) has developed this Confidence course with this in mind - ideal for those looking to develop their working dogs or sport dogs, or for companion animals needing to be challenged. Set in a rural holding in the Franklin area, this is an ideal place to work or exercise with your dog. It is being constantly extended, with new structures being developed in the future, so book your place for a unique opportunity to develop that special bond of trust with your k9 star.

At present the area consists of both open land and confidence course structures. The perimeter fencing consists of Timber post and rail and also 7 strand galv wire. Please ensure your dogs remain within the property and don't bother the stock (if present) in the neighbouring property. For the safety of your dogs - while on the structures, please ensure the dogs are under supervision. All dogs must be vaccinated and parasite free

The areas of detection and tracking are my passion which i currently practise with my 2 dogs , Bryn and Tama. I also work as the Canine Volunteer Liaison for the SPCA Auckland, in the Mangere center, training all the new volunteers who want to work in the Canine department.
