555 stars. Just go all the way to the back of the parking lot. My big dogs loved having a playground to play tag around. There are cobwebs on the equipment but no signs of spiders. Always a plus to have a seating area in the sniffspot too. Plenty of shade as well. Definitely coming again to this private dog park.
35There were a couple of holes in the fence thatdogs could’ve gotten through.
35There is currently a break in the fence and I wish they would fix it. Someone put a chair to block the missing panel, but it can easily be pushed by a large dog.
55Clean and great spot! Park in the first lot and the water is by the back parking lot :)
55A bit on the small side, but my two GSDs still had fun sniffing and prancing around! The ground is a bit uneven (there’s a cement divider in the middle) so certain dogs may stumble or trip, but my dogs had no trouble leaping over it.
55It’s a cute small place and great experience for my first time using this app. I will say, the water bowl and spout are in the parking lot, a bit away from the actual fenced off area
55My dogs loved it here!! It’s a good size space and has a little playground for them to climb on. We will be coming here again for sure :)
55Another fun time!
55Smaller fenced playground area. My dog enjoyed climbing the structure with me and going down the slides! There was an elderly person taking slow walks around the parking lot, which was in view from the fenced spot. My dog had a cute little staring contest (she wanted to say hi) with this person. I waved, and they waved back before continuing on their walk. The person did not approach the gate. There was a loose fence board in the playground area, which I reported to Jessica. It wasn't an issue for my medium sized girl but could be for smaller dogs. Also worth noting that small dog owners would do well to mind the gap under the metal gate at the entrance, just in case. After spending some time in the playground, we leashed up for a walk around the unfenced garden area. We encountered a second human. My dog didn't like their puffy jacket, but the human was polite and kept a respectful distance. This spot is a bit farther outside my regular travel radius, but it would be a nice option for locals who don't have a yard!
55Great space for a little run around time. Safe and secure fencing

this is a quiet, secluded spot, but sometimes folks might walk by the parking lot or in the backyards of the neighbors across the fence. there is a service at 10am every sunday (everyone is welcome!) and aa groups in the evenings on sundays as well, but the space is at the back, so they don't interact.

Description

Hello! We’re just getting started hosting with Sniffspot and are excited to host you! Please let us know what we can do to improve the space. A past guest let us know we needed better signage, so we got a bright blue sign printed and hung it on the fenced area. Another guest mistook the community garden (incompletely fenced) for the play area (completely fenced). If you see vegetables, the area is not completely fenced! You're welcome to explore, just be respectful of the gardeners and plants please. The avocado tree overhanging the play area is dropping fruit right now, so if your dog likes to eat random stuff on the ground please be careful! The play area is tucked between St Stephen’s in-the-Field Episcopal Church and the left hand fence (turn from Santa Teresa Blvd onto Avenida España, then take the first right and head to the back). There are two churches on the lot, ours is at the back, with ample off street parking and lots of gardens to explore, in addition to the enclosed play space. Feel free to message with any questions!

Cleanliness

90% of guests said this spot was as clean as expected during their visit.

Hazards

There are lots of leaves and sticks to eat and some avocados dropping from the neighbor's tree.I guess a dog might hurt themselves going down the slide. On the broader campus, there's a working community garden, with nails and broken boards and blackberry bushes, so treating that area with respect is key. There are also ground squirrel holes in the large field, and lots of pollinators, birds, and small lizards.

Private 2 Acre Forest Swimming Hole In Rural Woodside (Update: 7 stairs added)

This is a private, undeveloped, forested spot. If you are interested in this spot, you and your dog should be up for a mini adventure. This spot is not a manicured, backyard park. It is wild and beautiful, and a rare find in this area. THERE IS NO TRASH SERVICE AT THIS FOREST LOCATION. PACK EVERYTHING OUT WITH YOU, INCLUDING DOG POOP BAGGIES. The trail starts at the west (downhill) end of the parking spot, and winds downhill to the creek (there are a couple of switchbacks). The trail from the parking area to the creek is less than 5 minutes long. At the bottom of the trail, is a deck. Beyond the deck is a year-round creek with a swimming hole. There are fish, frogs, newts, and crawdads. All wildlife is protected, so please don't catch or remove them. You may walk up and down along the creek exploring, as long as you turn around if you see a waterfall downstream or a house in the distance. The trail that leads downhill to the creek is intermediate, not for beginners or flip-flops. There should be no poison oak or ticks on the trail, but if you venture off the trail, you may encounter poison oak or ticks. There are blackberry bushes to the sides of the trail that resemble poison oak. There should be no foxtails. You may see wild animals. As a wild spot, you may encounter typical hazards that are present in most local forest trails, such as wildlife, water, and trip-and-fall hazards. This is a private spot, and there should be no other people or dogs during your booking. If you see someone during your booking, please let us know as soon as possible, so that we can take steps to prevent them from trespassing again. There is no lighting at this spot, so if you book before sunrise or after sunset, please bring a headlamp or flashlight. There is no trash collection service at this location, so please pack out any trash. Thank you!
