55Great spot with fun trails to explore!
55Great spot!
55Fantastic spot - very open with lots of fun paths to explore. It does get somewhat near to a very quiet road, but that can also be avoided by taking other trails. Lots of thought put into the space too - it was fantastic having multiple places to leave poo bags (vs carrying them out to the entrance). I don't think I saw many foxtails or prickly plants, so it felt pretty safe too. Will definitely return.
55Lots of space to run and explore in the woods and the field! Great native plants.
55What a stellar place to spend the afternoon. Next time I will need to book an additional hour to find a spot to read amongst all the beautiful ferns and moss 😍 My doggo had the best time exploring.
55Such a gem of a spot to bring my reactive boy. Loves how quiet it was and all the little shoot off trails to explore
55This is one of the great opportunities to a hike with your dogs off leash through a beautiful grove of ferns. A big plus is driving up Dixie Mountain to see spectacular views. One of a kind experience. Thanks for sharing your mountain with us!
55LOVED this space! Beautiful trails take you deep into the thick forest making you feel submerged in nature. And there’s so much to explore that we didn’t even make it to the open field of dreams. We’ll definitely be back!
55Beautiful meandering trail to get to the field! I loved that you could make the hike in/out as long as you’d like with a few trail options. Dogs loved being in the woods!
55This was an awesome spot to get some energy out, the trails and field are well maintained too! 10/10 tired happy doggo afterwards!

Our dogs will be kept inside during visits. We have a fenced yard that they go into, but they will not have access during visits. Most likely you will not hear or see them, but on very rare occasions you might hear them or one might escape ever so briefly into the fenced yard before we scoop them up and bring them back inside.

The property is large and we rarely see neighbors once you are in the property away from the road. If you are close to the road, you will see cars going by. We are sometimes outside working on the property or house/barn projects. One side of the property is next to a U-Cut Christmas Tree farm, and they are out there Thanksgiving weekend and weekends through at least the first few weekends of December. If you choose to walk the boundary area, you may see some people at the tree farm. We are currently rebuilding our deck off the back of the house and re-doing the floors of our basement. You may hear us working on occasion, hammering, drilling, occasional power tool.

Nature in the City Private Dog Park

Nature in the City is a unique Private Dog Park that is 1 1/2 acres of beautiful natural land with varied landscapes. Step out of the city and into our natural setting that features different areas including 2 grassy fields perfect for fetch w/discs, ropes, or toys, (balls are not best here due to all of the surrounding bushes), a couple of forested areas, a tall grassy wetland-like area, several nature trails for hiking adventures where your dog(s) can explore, run & feel free, and a healthy little creek that’s a hit with the pups. They can wade, cool off, and drink from the natural water. Your dogs will have so many different sniffing and secure off-leash exploring opportunities here! Our spot is so much more than just a fenced field! The area is diverse and so much fun for your dog(s)! This is a great spot to work on recall. There are a couple areas on the trails that are a little steep, there’s a trail where you have to walk on logs 🪵, and the little creek has to be stepped over, so people with limited mobility may have issues in these areas of the spot. There are plenty of spaces and trails that are suitable for all abilities. If you’re looking for a basic fenced field to play chuck-it then this probably isn’t your spot. We are continually working on our property, so every time you visit it will have more open space, more trails, and the blackberry bushes will be trimmed back. We provide a rain/sun shelter with 4 foldable chairs and lots of supplies including dog toys & balls, poop bags, hand sanitizer, natural bug spray, wipes, hand towels, first aid kit, and a cornhole yard game. Located outside are 2 zero-gravity reclining chairs, a kids size picnic table, and fresh drinking water for your pups. There are open areas with sun ☀️, and there is shade all day due to many large trees. Our property is fully secure with 5 to 6 ft fencing. We walk the fence line regularly and check to make sure it’s secure. We are located close-in on the Westside of Vancouver one mile from I-5 on 78th Street in West Hazel Dell near Felida. *It gets muddy in areas when it has been wet/raining outside. Come prepared so you enjoy your visit. **We just added 6 solar flood lights in the main field area for those of you who need to visit after dark. They light up the entryway, main field, and the shelter. Thank you!
