Long Valley Dog Park

Dog Park Rules & Regulations • Use the park at your own risk. Dog owners are responsible and liable for the actions and behavior of their dogs at all times. • A RELEASE OF LIABILITY FORM must be signed and witnessed before membership privileges for the park are considered. • All dogs must wear a valid license and a Long Valley Dog Park Pass Tag. Fees for park use will be $10 for residents and $15 for non-residents. Dog owners must fill out application and provide veterinarian’s signature to confirm proof of current vaccinations and secure the pass tag. Pass Tags are not transferable to other dogs. • Dogs with a history of dangerous or aggressive behavior are prohibited . Dogs must be removed from the park upon the first sign of aggression • Puppies under four months old are prohibited. Dogs over six months old must be spayed or neutered. Female dogs in heat are prohibited • Dog Park membership expires on December 31 the year of issuance and must be renewed the following January. • Limit of 3 dogs per adult. Dogs must be accompanied by an adult 18 years or older at all times. • Dogs must be leashed in their cars prior to entering the parking lot. Dogs must remain leashed at all times until inside the fenced park area. When leaving the dog park area the dog must be leashed before leaving through the double gate, and remained leashed until inside their owner’s vehicle. • No spiked collars (on the dogs) • Access gates must be properly secured upon entering/leaving the off leash area. • No children under age 10 allowed inside the fence: all children must be accompanied by an adult and closely supervised. • Owners are required to clean up after their dog. Waste bags are provided. • No food allowed inside the fenced area. • Owners must provide their own water and water bowls. • No smoking allowed. • Hours: Open daily from 8:00 AM until dusk. • Parking lot will be cleared after snow events, paths will not - use at your own risk • Dog Park may be closed for maintenance activities from time to time. • All incidents, bites or injuries must be reported immediately to the Washington Police Department - 908-876-3232. OFF-LEASH DOG AREA RULES PENNINGTON PARK • Off-Leash Dog Area Hours: Dawn until Dusk • Facility is reserved as an Off-Leash Dog Area only - no other uses or animals allowed. • Off-Leash Dog Area users and dog owners assume all risks related to use of the facility. • All dogs must be licensed, vaccinated and healthy. • All dogs must wear a collar, I.D. and permit tags at all times. • Only use flat buckle collars with tags – spike / pinch / prong collars can injure other dogs. • Handlers may bring up to 2 dogs, must remain with dog(s), and carry a leash for each dog. • Handlers must be 18 years of age or older. • Leash dogs while entering and exiting the Off-Leash Dog Area. • Fully secure gates as you enter or leave the Off-Leash Dog Area. • Aggressive dogs are not permitted in the Off-Leash Dog Area. Handlers shall remove dogs at the first sign of aggression toward people or other animals. • No dogs under 4 months of age. • To discourage aggressive behavior, the County of Burlington strongly recommends that dog owners only bring animals that have been spayed or neutered. Absolutely no female dogs in heat are allowed into the Off-Leash Dog Area. • Pick up all pet waste and properly dispose of it in receptacles provided. • Prevent dogs from digging. Immediately fill any holes your dog digs. • Handlers shall control excessive barking. • Handlers shall respect requests of other dog handlers regarding their animals. • Children under 8 years of age are not permitted within the Off-Leash Dog Area. For their own safety, children 8 years of age and older must be closely supervised by an adult. • Small, bite sized training treats are permitted. Glass containers, food in bowls, long-lasting chews and human food are not allowed. • There is a limit of 20 dogs and 25 handlers inside each fenced area at any one time. • To report a dog problem or lost pet, call the County Parks Department at (609)265-5858 during business hours, or call 911 to report an emergency. • Users must abide by all rules and regulations of the Burlington County Park System, and must comply with the directions of Park System personnel. • Park users who fail to comply with the above rules will be asked to leave.
