Our fence is a 3.5 foot high cattle fence with wire mesh. The entrance to our spot is a large metal swing gate. The spot has cut short-grass. There are lots of deer among other animals in the area so your dog can have their own sniffing adventure! No need to worry if your dog is reactive because these animals usually keep their distance. We have digging areas and poop bags. We also have some wood planks that could possibly be used for agility jumps (See pictures). You can enjoy a chill hangout at the picnic table, or relax on the lawn chairs while watching your pup. Hand sanitizer, sunscreen, and a trash can will be provided as well. At this time we are not able to offer water or doggy bowls. The area is quite tranquil; you can enjoy birds chirping or even meditate. Portable lawn chairs are also accessible. It’s a perfect place to take some time off from daily life struggles and relax; both for you and your furry friend! Shady spots are available during any time of the day if you don’t like to be under the sun. We would love to see your furry friends enjoying our yard. We no longer have goats. 8 acre pasture completely fenced in with wood fence and field wire. Field is currently completely cut. You are allowed to drive your vehicle in to the field without having to leash your pup! It’s such a large area that waste removal isn’t required unless it happens right in front of you. If that happens, please dispose of over the fence. Shovel provided a entry. Just for your information. This “farmette” is in a neighborhood so there may be other dogs in other peoples yards that you might hear. We also have a family dog that might be visible occasionally in our own private yard, far away and totally separate from the Sniffspot. If your pet is very sensitive and can’t deal with even the site of and or hearing another animal, unfortunately this is not the spot for you. Finally, we are a community of pet lovers and we all pull together and support each other positively . If you have any issues at all, please reach out to me and I will make it right . We have received 1 out of 100 less than stellar review left simply because our family dog was let out in our front yard totally separate from the Sniffspot for five minutes and I just don’t want there to be any other negative experiences. Very private, quiet, and tucked away in the back away from the main road. We don't have any pets, so yours will be the only ones on the property, and we're rarely home. Feel free to use the triple fenced garden area before we start growing anything. There is new home construction up at the top of the hill they have their own short black fencing around the homes, so just stay beyond the fence. Water pump and doggie bowls available outside near the front right side of the home in front of the outhouse. Trashcans are available at the side of the house across from the shed near the trampoline. There's a basketball hoop and 🏀 if interested in playing as well as some swings for kids closer to the house. Feel free to use it. Lastly, please use Google Maps for navigation instead of Waze as it's the most updated one for finding the property. The way to operate the water pump is to pull the lever up and all the way back and wait a few seconds and the water will come out the hose. PS- if you're ever running late or got lost and some of your paid time is used up please feel free to stay a little longer to make up for it if no one else is booked immediately after you.

I have an acre of wooded land with a creek running through the back. We don't use any pesticides or fertilizers so the land is completely animal friendly. We are on a cul-de-sac so there's no through traffic and its the quietest place I've ever lived. Sometimes deer or foxes come up from the creek because it goes all the way to Double Rock Park but they run away as soon as they see people. Its a beautiful, peaceful place and it's perfect for running and playing with your dog(s). I can also walk,run and play with your dog if you're unable to do it yourself. Lovely, ample space. Fence is high and sturdy. Lots of little flying bugs this time of year but the host provides bug spray. The canopy is a very nice touch. We were unable to open the side gate because the thread mechanism was not in place but there is another larger gate on the other side.

We had a great time, and my two dogs ran around playing for the whole hour. I am grateful that this SniffSpot is clean - I did not step on or see any piles of dog poop. When I am running around with my dogs, it is good that the SniffSpot is clean. This SniffSpot is, for me, a large enough space. Great open space with a secure fence! A little slippery and buggy since it had just rained, but the owner kindly left out bug spray. The space was clean and our dog had a great time!

My 3 year old Pickles LOVED this Sniffspot!! The host was amazing and provided an assortment of balls, doggy bags, and bug spray! We rented this spot for an hour and half. This was Pickles’ first time off the leash since rescuing her a year ago, due to her reactivity. She spent an hour and a half sniffing every inch of this spot, as well as running and playing! The spot is a great size - much bigger than expected! The fence was high and sturdy, keeping my sweet girl safe at all times! The door was left open upon arrival for easy access. This was our first experience with SniffSpot, and we will absolutely be repeat customers!!! Very grateful for this opportunity and experience! 💓🐶 I do not have any recommendations as I feel as though the host went above and beyond for this spot!

This wasn’t the first time I’ve been to this Sniffspot and certainly won’t be the last! Not not only does the space include a privacy fence and seclusion from the actual home, but there’s accommodations for parking and for the dog owners. If you’re in the Rockville or Potomac area, I highly suggest you give them a visit.

Are dog fields safe?

If you are looking for an adventure, but also looking for safety, Sniffspot dog fields are a great option. While public dog parks have a number of safety issues, such as aggressive dogs, distracted dog owners, disease transmission and general cleanliness, Sniffspot dog parks are much safer than public dog parks. With Sniffspot all bookings are private space for just you and doggy friends you bring with you and we require all dogs to be vaccinated (or have equivalent titers). How do I know if a dog field works for my dog?

All park rental information is available online. Start by filtering parks by fencing, size and distractions, to find a private spot that works for your dog. If your dog has poor recall, you can visit one of our secure fields. If your dog is reactive to other dogs, you can visit one of our dog fields where there are no dogs audible or visible nearby. You can review the details of the listing to make sure it works as your desired activity space, for example, safe dog exercise, dog training, a stress-free adventure with your furry friend or even a puppy event. You can even check the park amenities chart for amenities such as indoor training facilities, agility field, synthetic turf, exercise balls or field parking availability in advance. If inclement weather is an issue or poor field conditions, you can reschedule your visit up to 2 hours in advance.

What are the requirements to bring my dog to a Sniffspot dog field?

We require that all four-legged friends have basic vaccinations or equivalent titers. We do not allow dogs with a bite history. We require that guests sign our waiver and agree to follow our safety rules. Make sure to check host rules before visiting to ensure, for instance, that you are following allowable sports activities rules and any special events rules.

Will there be other dogs at the Sniffspot field at the same time as me?

No. Facility rentals are for private play time and any host dogs are required to be kept away from the area during visits, so this is perfect for a private adventure for you and your doggie friends, and perhaps a human friend. Hosts understand that many guests have dogs in training and are nervous owners. So when you book a Sniffspot dog field you have the entire private spot to yourself. We also enforce 30 min time buffers between time slots so you will not run into other guest dogs or a previous person when coming or leaving in the field parking area. Some hosts may have multiple fields, but there is always a buffer between fields.
