Canine Corners Dog Park - Elliot Park

anine Corners Membership Tags are required to use Canine Corners. Dogs must wear a collar displaying membership tag, or the owner must have the tag with them inside the park. Spiked, pinch, or choke-style collars are prohibited. For their safety, children, under age 10, are NOT permitted inside Canine Corners parks. Your dog must be under your control and in your sight at all times. You are held responsible for your dog’s behavior. The Rockford Park District has the right to refuse or revoke tags of dogs displaying aggression or intimidating behavior towards other dogs or people. No refunds will be given for revoked tags. Dog owners are responsible for picking up and disposing of all their dogs’ waste, and refilling any holes their dog(s) create. No food or smoking allowed inside the parks. Male and female dogs must be neutered or spayed, regardless of age. All dogs must be leashed when entering and leaving the park. Dogs less than 6 months of age are prohibited. Limit three dogs per adult per visit. Please be courteous. Treat others the way you want them to treat you and your dog.

Bull Valley Family Farm

Come and let your dog explore, play, and swim on our beautiful family farm. Our farm means the world to us and we think you will love it just as much. Our farm lies on 16 acres in Bull Valley, Illinois. Although it is not fenced in, our property is doggy heaven for dogs trained to be off-leash. Come take a walk, bring a frisbee/ball, or just come let your dog sniff and explore. Please do not go into the land beyond the caution tape and signs. That is not part of our sniff spot. We have many farm animals on our property as well. Please be respectful of our property. We take pride in our farm and love sharing it, but we want to keep it beautiful. Entry in any of the barns/buildings is prohibited. Please remain in the back of our property. We do live on the property and appreciate our privacy. FYI, this is a working farm. Sometimes as you are pulling in, there might be cars/people in the barns and lot. Please keep that in mind as you are arriving and if your dog is reactive, bring a leash until you can get into the back field.

All dogs must be licensed and vaccinated. Dog park registration must be worn and visible when using the dog park or the owner must have the laminated card with them at all times when in the dog park area. Dogs with a known history of dangerous behavior toward people or other dogs are prohibited from the dog park.. Dogs must be supervised and under the voice control of their owner at all times. Owners must clean up after their dogs and dispose of waste properly. A maximum of 2 dogs per person can be in the park at any one time. Puppies under the age of 4 months are prohibited in the main dog park. Female dogs in heat are prohibited in dog parks. Dogs must be leashed when entering or exiting the dog park. No-retractable leashes are allowed. Leashes must not exceed 8 feet in length. Agility equipment is for dog use only. All young children must be supervised by an adult. Children under 12 are not allowed in the main dog park. No glass containers allowed in the park Smoking is prohibited within the park Prong and spiked collars are prohibited in dog park areas. Wheelchairs are the only non-FFHS wheeled vehicles allowed in the dog park. (This includes strollers, which are not allowed in the dog parks.) Sick dogs, especially those with parasites, should not be brought into the park until cleared by a vet.

Bark Park

Hours are from dawn to dusk daily. Dogs must be cleaned up after. Bags and receptacles are available onsite. Dogs must be leashed until inside the gated area. Please have a leash with you at all times. Dogs must wear their membership tag at all times while at the park. It is recommended that dog(s) receive the canine influenza vaccine before visiting the park. Dogs exhibiting aggressive behavior will not be allowed in the park. Aggressive behavior may result in revocation of dog park membership with no refund. Owners are responsible for any harm their dog(s) inflict on any other dog(s) or human(s). Owners are responsible for any damage their dog(s) inflict on any property within the park. Dogs in heat are not allowed in the park. Unhealthy dogs are not allowed in the park. Dogs must have a handler over the age of 18 present at all times. Children must be age 6 or older to be in the park and must be accompanied by an adult. Dog equipment must only be used by dogs, no adults or children permitted on equipment. Handlers are responsible for controlling their dogs at all times. There is a limit of two (2) dogs per person/handler. Water is available onsite during warm season months (fountain turned off during the winter). If you bring a water dish, take it home with you when leaving the park. Smoking is NOT ALLOWED at the park. Owners are responsible for filling up any holes their dog(s) create using our hole filling stations located at the park. Do not let non-members into the park, or allow other dog(s) who are not registered use your passcode to enter the park. Early termination of membership by a member will not result in a refund.

All dogs must have a Kenosha County Dog Parks tag or owner can pay a daily fee. Dog Parks tags are available at several locations (listed on the Tags and Fees page). The Dog Parks tag is valid for one year. No annual dog park tag shall be granted without a Kenosha County dog license or current license from the municipality where the dog is kept. Pick up after your dog. All dog parks have disposal bags available. Dogs must be kept on leash outside of the fenced area of the park. Do not keep your dog on leash once inside the dog park. Always keep your eye on your dog and stay alert to your surroundings. Help us (and your dog) by controlling the environment at all times. Not all dogs are good candidates for off-leash dog parks, if your dog is aggressive, they will not be allowed inside. Be prepared to leash up and leave immediately if your dog shows aggression. Don't bring your dog if they’re unvaccinated. This leads to the rapid spread of diseases, some of which may be fatal. If your dog is in heat, leave her at home. A dog in heat can cause male dogs to develop aggressive tendencies. Smoking, food, alcoholic beverages and glass containers are not permissible. Water bowls cannot be brought inside the fenced area. This reduces the risk of diseases spread by sharing drinking water. Take out what you bring in (e.g., tennis balls, Frisbees, water dishes, dog toys, etc). Do not give treats to dogs that aren’t yours. Dogs may have allergies, be on a training plan or be on a special diet. No children under the age of 18 are permitted unless accompanied by an adult. There is the potential that your dog may be injured or may injure another dog while playing in the park. Kenosha County is not responsible for any injury or damage in the dog park. Take a dip in the creek! Beautiful secluded acreage with mature trees

Beautiful secluded property with a creek running through it. The backyard is about 1 acre with a big open field surrounded by large mature trees and a creek bordering the back side. Dogs must be trained not to run off as we do not have a fence. Old fence posts show the property lines. You can to take a dip in the creek with your dog to cool off on hot days. The water does flow so I wouldn't recommend it for really small dogs. The water is fairly shallow but can get high and flow fast after heavy rain. You will have to walk down a small hill to enter the creek. The weeds get high by the water but I have made 2 separate paths to enter the creek. Entering the creek is at your own risk. The creek is on the property line so the land across the creek is not part of the property so please do not go across the creek. If you do plan on going in the creek I recommend water shoes and a towel, it can get muddy by the water. And it can also get buggy, so you might want to bring bug spray as well. Feel free to move any of the chairs from the firepit to anywhere around the yard. Please clean up after your pup, garbage can is the green one by the garage. You can park on the left side of driveway by the RV and enter on the left side of the garage.
