Notice: We are closing the spot on May 23rd for maintenance. Sorry for the inconvenience. Grass and rain: Please keep in mind that during moderate to heavy rains the area without mulch can get muddy. Beginning May of 2024, we will post pictures daily to our Instagram account showing the condition of the spot. As you can imagine, due to the wear and tear the spot gets, it’s difficult to keep the grass alive. However, we do our best to reseed during the spring. BarkPark sits right across the street from The Salvation Army Freedom Center. This spot is fully fenced (chain link and wood) with the side facing the sidewalk being 5ft and the rest of the fence being 6ft. There is a dual-gate entrance to the spot for a safe entry and exit. Street parking is available. There is plenty of seating at this spot with shade throughout the day. There's a rain barrel filled with water for dogs to hydrate and cool down. We have water bowls available. GIANT sandbox that's great for digging and playing; no digging elsewhere please. On hot days, we do our best to keep the sand wet. Trash can onsite. We have poop bags available in two different areas for easy access. Half of this spot is covered with grass and the other half with playground mulch. This spot is big enough to get a good fetch session in or to just let the zoomies out. We also recently added agility equipment. We hope you and your four-legged friend/s have an exceptional time during your visit and choose to come back. Lost toys and items: Due to the amount of visits we get we aren’t able to track which items belong to which guest. If you’ve lost a dog toy or other item, please reach out and we’ll do our best to retrieve it and hold it for you. If you don’t reach out, we’ll hold onto it for a week and then add it to the Lost and Found Toy Box. Water: The dog drinking water gets changed 1-2 times per week, depending on the temperature/usage. During the winter months we empty the water barrel. If your dog/s require water during the winter months, we ask that you please bring your own. Food: You’re welcomed to bring food but we ask that you please clean up as a courtesy to other guests. Future additions: We hope to add more amenities over time. Our plans are to add more sand to the sandbox in late April or early May of 2024. We’re also hoping to have on-site parking around mid summer of 2024. If you have any suggestions for amenities, we’d love to hear your feedback.

To decrease traffic we have increased our pricing because the grass is struggling with wear/tear. If you have a history of using our yard we want your dog to still get to come play! So please send a message & we will send you a discount code. We just need to start planning for planting grass etc. We LOVE sharing our space with multiple dogs from the community however, it is hard on the grass. For this reason, we have limited our evening and some weekend availability to Members Only to decrease the wear and tear on the yard. With the fluctuation in weather please be aware: If outdoor parks are wet and muddy ~ areas of our yard will be also. We cannot control the effects of rain. WATER: Due to freezing temperatures all water features have been removed for the season. Clean water bowls will be provided, but please bring your own water for the time being. Thank you for understanding. Please always use the provided carabiner to lock the gate as pictured after you and your dog(s) enter. We have installed multiple methods of LIGHTING for evening reservations. Easy instructions for use will be sent when you make the reservation. We do have a SHADE/RAIN SHELTER! :) PARKING: One FREE private parking space located at the entrance from the alley at the back of the lot. Since some guests were having a tough time with the parking space, we did WIDEN the entrance. We park 2 Honda CRV's back there daily without issue. Fully fenced 6 foot secure and private green space. Large open lot with seating and plenty of room to play fetch or just relax off leash. Easy street parking, no permit required. Any Extras will be located in the storage bin on the east wall of the lot. We have evening hours 6:30p to 9:30p for Members Only, 7 days per week.

Our yard is a longer more narrow yard which allows the dogs a little more distance for their runs. There is landscape bordering the fence and a garden in the front of the yard next to a yoga studio. There are areas to explore and areas for both dog and owner to relax, and a secure dog run that can be used for training. K-9 Dog Park

K-9 Dog Park hours are 6 a.m.-11 p.m. 2) K-9 Dog Park will be closed for maintenance 6-9 a.m. on Mondays and Thursdays. 3) All key fobs need to be scanned before entering the park for accurate count of members usage. 4) Do not allow people or dogs in the park who do not have a key fob, even a not working key fob. Call the Schaumburg Park District at 847-985-2115 to inquire why the fob is not working. Report fence jumpers to the police at 847-882-3586 or dial 911. 5) Puppies under 6 months old are not allowed in the park. 6) Maximum two dogs per handler at the park. Both dogs must remain in the same area with their",handler.,"7) Dogs more than 30 pounds must use the large dog area. Although not recommended, small dogs also may use the large dog area. Large dogs (30+ pounds) are not allowed in the small dog area. 8) The agility area is open to all dogs. The agility area cannot be used for dog obedience training. 9) Professional pet trainers may not use the park to conduct business. 10) Do not allow your dog to run to the gate when another dog enters. The gate area must be kept clear at all times so members can enter and exit without incident. For safety reasons, do not congregate near the entrance. 11) A handler must be 18 years or older and present at all times. The handler is solely responsible for the actions of their dog(s). Children between the ages of 11 and 17 are not permitted within the park unless accompanied by an adult. Children younger than 11 are not allowed in the park. 12) Dogs must remain leashed until they are inside the small or large areas. For the safety of all dogs, no prong or pinch collars are allowed in the park. Leashes must be removed once in the park. If you are uncomfortable with your dog being off the leash, park use is not permitted. 13) Handlers must supervise their dog(s). Handlers must be in sight of their dogs, with leash at",hand.,"14) Be courteous and respectful of all dog owners and handlers. 15) Dogs that are unruly toward other dogs or handlers must be removed immediately. 16) If your dog injures another dog or handler, give your name and phone number to the injured party. You are legally and financially responsible for your dog’s actions and any harm caused to others or damage to property. Bags and waste receptacles are available. Carry extra bags with you. 20)Dogs must display a current rabies tag and K-9 Dog Park colored dog tag. 21) Dogs in ‘heat’ are not allowed in the park. 22) Dogs who are unhealthy are not allowed in the park. Flea and tick treatment is recommended, particularly during spring, summer and fall. 23) No smoking, glass containers, food (including dog treats, rawhide, bones and hooves), alcohol or beverages are allowed in the dog park. Good Dogs (and Humans) Should: Enjoy the park with up to three (3) dogs per person in the off-leash area. Keep your dog(s) current on distemper, parvovirus, and rabies vaccinations. Dogs should also receive year-round heartworm prevention treatment and flea prevention treatment. Do clean up after your dog(s). Help by picking up orphan poops to keep the park clean and disease-free. Do keep dogs on a leash while entering and exiting the dog park. Enter with caution if other dogs are already present within the park. Do play with a frisbee, balls, and retrieval toys, but be prepared to share with other park visitors. Keep dogs in view and under control at all times. Dogs must be under voice control at all times. Do Not Allow your dog(s) to stand at or near the gate as people are trying to enter. Enter if another dog is at the gate unattended. Leave your dog(s) unattended. Allow your dog(s) to dig in the park; owners must fill any holes caused by their dog(s). Use the off-leash area for conducting professional training classes without approval. Climb on or over the fence. Use bicycles, skateboards, roller skates or blades, or any motorized devices except wheelchairs in the park. Use devices that use an explosive force to propel a retrievable object. Allow your children to play on or with the dog agility equipment. Not Allowed In The Park Children under the age of 16 unless accompanied by an adult. Children tend to scream and run when excited, which can trigger a dog’s prey drive or instinct to chase. For this reason and the safety of your children, we do not recommend bringing small children and infants into the dog park. The dog agility equipment is for dogs only. Children need to be supervised and kept off the equipment. Aggressive dogs into the park. Owners must carry leashes with them and leash and remove their dogs from the off-leash area at the first sign of aggression. Owners are legally responsible for their dogs and any injuries or damage caused by their dogs. Dogs who are in heat. Puppies under four months of age. Other Animals Ill or injured dogs. Choke or prong collars are not permitted in the park. Dog owners are solely responsible for the actions of their dogs. Dogs must be inoculated, healthy and wear a current rabies tag issued by a County Government. All dogs shall be removed from the park at the first sign of aggressive behavior. Owners must pick up after their dogs. Children under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult while in the dog park. Only 2 dogs per person are allowed per visit. Owners should refill holes dug by their dog. Hours are from dawn to dusk daily. Dogs must be cleaned up after. Bags and receptacles are available onsite. Dogs must be leashed until inside the gated area. Please have a leash with you at all times. Dogs must wear their membership tag at all times while at the park. It is recommended that dog(s) receive the canine influenza vaccine before visiting the park. Dogs exhibiting aggressive behavior will not be allowed in the park. Aggressive behavior may result in revocation of dog park membership with no refund. Owners are responsible for any harm their dog(s) inflict on any other dog(s) or human(s). Owners are responsible for any damage their dog(s) inflict on any property within the park. Dogs in heat are not allowed in the park. Unhealthy dogs are not allowed in the park. Dogs must have a handler over the age of 18 present at all times. Children must be age 6 or older to be in the park and must be accompanied by an adult. Dog equipment must only be used by dogs, no adults or children permitted on equipment. Handlers are responsible for controlling their dogs at all times. There is a limit of two (2) dogs per person/handler. Water is available onsite during warm season months (fountain turned off during the winter). If you bring a water dish, take it home with you when leaving the park. Smoking is NOT ALLOWED at the park. Owners are responsible for filling up any holes their dog(s) create using our hole filling stations located at the park. Do not let non-members into the park, or allow other dog(s) who are not registered use your passcode to enter the park. Early termination of membership by a member will not result in a refund.

Carlisle Family Dog Park

All dogs must have a Kenosha County Dog Parks tag or owner can pay a daily fee. Dog Parks tags are available at several locations (listed on the Tags and Fees page). The Dog Parks tag is valid for one year. No annual dog park tag shall be granted without a Kenosha County dog license or current license from the municipality where the dog is kept. Pick up after your dog. All dog parks have disposal bags available. Dogs must be kept on leash outside of the fenced area of the park. Do not keep your dog on leash once inside the dog park. Always keep your eye on your dog and stay alert to your surroundings. Help us (and your dog) by controlling the environment at all times. Not all dogs are good candidates for off-leash dog parks, if your dog is aggressive, they will not be allowed inside. Be prepared to leash up and leave immediately if your dog shows aggression. Don't bring your dog if they’re unvaccinated. This leads to the rapid spread of diseases, some of which may be fatal. If your dog is in heat, leave her at home. A dog in heat can cause male dogs to develop aggressive tendencies. Smoking, food, alcoholic beverages and glass containers are not permissible. Water bowls cannot be brought inside the fenced area. This reduces the risk of diseases spread by sharing drinking water. Take out what you bring in (e.g., tennis balls, Frisbees, water dishes, dog toys, etc). Do not give treats to dogs that aren’t yours. Dogs may have allergies, be on a training plan or be on a special diet. No children under the age of 18 are permitted unless accompanied by an adult. There is the potential that your dog may be injured or may injure another dog while playing in the park. Kenosha County is not responsible for any injury or damage in the dog park.
