Taylor pond is a 5 acre pond located in the heart of Poway. The amenities include a grass yard and yard in the back filled with wood chips and a eucalyptus grove as well of course as the pond. Keep in mind when you bring your dog we turn to work in the yard and also rent out a building in the back to Airbnb. So please make sure your dog is friendly with people.

"This field is huge! My dogs had an amazing time running around and exploring 😍 There is shade under the trees, and the part that wasn't fenced in wasn't an issue for us. If your dogs don't have solid recall, stick to the fenced side. The whole place is so big, you shouldn't have a problem getting a good amount of walking/running in, without coming too close to the un-fenced side. I walked around for about 2 miles, and I'm guessing my dogs probably did twice that 😆 The host was nice and allowed extra time, because I took a wrong turn coming there and was late to my booked time. We will definitely be back."

Come run and play on 10 acres! We have a large lawn, many flat and hiking trails with beautiful views! We have a pond that your fur babies and jump and swim in. There are many mature oak trees. The dogs had SO much fun!! David, the host, was super accommodating and responded to my questions quickly before we arrived. The property was great, lots of space to run and explore, plus interesting sheds, garages, and corners that one of my dogs absolutely loved rummaging around in (sorry about that). The fence is truly secure and I was able to relax and let the dummies run around like maniacs, something I rarely feel comfortable doing. There were other dogs on the property when we visited, contained inside a fenced boarding kennel. There’s also some visibility between the kennel and the sniffspot area, so my dogs and the boarded dogs could see each other. For whatever reason, my selectively reactive dogs didn’t seem too bothered by the boarded dogs, but I could see this being an issue for others. All in all, a great time. We will absolutely be back!

Love this place. Fun for my dog and kids. Been multiple times. Not anything against this place… we were already 5 min late showing up and there was a group with their dogs still in their washing their dogs. They didn’t really hustle which is kinda rude. My dog is reactive at times so I didn’t want to share the space. Didn’t get to get in until 15 min after my reserved time. Nothing against this place at all but people should be more respectful of time.

Awesome place to come let your dog run around and be free!! Just a heads up, there were a few people on property just as the host said, but did not interact with us or our dog. This is our dog’s new favorite place!!

This placed transformed my dog, he swam for the first time after he slipped in to the water, funny expression. His swim instinct kicked in, fun to watch. He got out and rolled in the dirt then ran around with a big dog smile. If your dog discovers water, for the first time, stay calm they will figure it out. I would recommend slip on shoes and shorts in case you need to go in to help your pet…. Remember, stay calm. He, and his pal Copper, sniffed out ever inch of 5 acres. We stayed for an hour and they were wore out. The host is awesome, towels and hose are provided to clean up before heading home.

Nice large area for the pup to run around and play in the water! There were a few people as the host mentioned but they were respectful of our space. The hose provided was super helpful. Great experience overall!

My wife and I enjoy this so much we go at least once and at times twice a week with our labradors Gus and Gwen. I think it's their favorite place to be. Miles away they know where we are going and can barley contain the barking and excitement. It is very safe and is fenced.

What a beautiful place! The pond is amazing and lots of easy ways in and out. Lots to sniff everywhere around the path that goes all the way around the pond. Didn't realize my dog could swim! But she absolutely adored it. I'm so grateful for the sniffspot hosts who share their beautiful spaces with us. Just visiting in town this week but if I lived here, this would be a regular spot for us. Really clean, too.

We love coming here! The dogs love splashing in the water, running on the path around the pond, and sniffing up a storm. Also we didnt encounter any ticks or foxtails which is great.

Will there be other dogs at the Sniffspot hiking trail at the same time as me?

Sniffspot only allows one booking at a time and any host dogs are required to be kept away from the spot during visits. We also enforce 30 min time buffers between bookings.
