55We had the loveliest time at this beautiful property! Lots of great shady spots to take a break from the sun, as well as large open field areas to throw a frisbee or let the dog run free. My dog especially loved the wooded area that provided endless sniffing opportunities. I elected to keep my dog on a 100ft long line since the wooded area is the portion that is unfenced and near a road and my dog is prone to losing some recall when he finds a good scent to track. This unfenced area has a sort of natural barrier with ditches and lots of vegetation, but my dog is very scent driven so he wanted to explore in those areas. All other areas of the property had intact wire fencing or black mesh barriers.
Host provided clear detailed instructions for navigation, making it a painless adventure. I brought my own water, so I did not need to use the water pump on property. I believe there is a trash can on site (per host information) but I didn’t look for it and I took my dogs poop bags with us out of habit. We did not see any other animals in the distance, but we could hear an occasional car drive by near the wooded area, and one neighbor on the hill working in their yard, but we stayed away from the top of the hill near the neighbors anyways per hosts request and these caused no issues for my dog.
One hour was definitely enough time for my dog to get all his sniffs in, and run all his energy out, and relax in the shade a little bit. I think it would be a perfect property to book a few hours for you and your dog to just relax in the nature on a nice day!
This was dream property for my anxious reactive hound dog and myself. Will definitely be returning! Emily N.

55I really love this spot as well as my dog! It's always well maintained and the host listens to feedback and improves it each time we've visited (they covered a spot where water had been sitting and a dog jumped in) . Thank you so much and I look forward to returning. Jessica D.

55Another amazing trip to this gorgeous property! It was breezy with a lot of shaded areas to retreat to. My boy and his cousin ran and ran to their hearts’ content! The old well is covered now, so no risk of tumbling in.

55This was our first visit and we had a great time! As stated, it’s partially fenced, so it’s best for dogs that have some recall as there are many ways for escape artists to bolt. But my boy had a blast exploring the different areas of this gorgeous property! There is so much room to run and plenty to keep him engaged for an hour.
I was a little wary of the low-hanging cable between the yard and lower barn. I could easily have touched it with my hand, so was careful to keep my flirt pole low when crossing. I’m not sure how dangerous that truly is, but I’m a wimp around electrical stuff!
Otherwise, it’s a magical place and I wish I could live there!!
Thank you, Mel, and family, for sharing your paradise! Heidi H.

55This was our second time back and we had a blast ! gorgeous property, lots of space to run and play. Warning to folks who have dogs that like to roll in gross things-- there is a large deer carcass on the property behind the house in the stream. I didn't see it until it was too late ... typing this this post bath lol.Kat A.

55Great property, lots of space to roam and sniff. My dog loved it! Especially the more wooded area, as he loves to explore. We heard a very distant bark, but it was distant enough that my dog didn’t try to investigate. The only thing I want to mention is that behind the house in the wooded area is the part where there is only partial fencing. It’s unclear how far back you can go, it goes a little far. I allowed my dog to roam a little bit while being about 20 feet behind him. There is a cement structure a little past the stream, it looks like a well or something similar. It was full of water and I didn’t see that from my angle. My dog is curious and stepped into it and fell in, almost completely submerged. He got out quickly, but it gave me a quick scare. He did get a couple scratches on his paw. This is ultimately my responsibility to make sure my dog is safe, so I do not fault the property owner for this. Just wanted to mention this to watch out for this structure. It’s possible it’s usually empty and the recent rain filled it up. We had a great time though and would return! Just keep an eye out on your dog!Christina H.

55We had a very relaxing stroll along a wood's edge and all around a pasture and back up the paved lane. There were no people or dogs on the property and we didn't hear or see any dogs. Saw a couple of neighboring people on the other side of fences. Sharon S.

55It took us a few minutes to discern which part of the property was OK to let the dog roam in, and which might be neighbors' yards, but if you park near the cute house (not new builds) and look to the right of it, there is a gate that leads to a veg garden area within a huge fenced in field well behind the new houses. Our Springer Spaniel LOVED racing and snuffling everywhere. Note: small dogs and curious/crafty dogs, such as mine, can get out of the fenced area and into the driveway or the neighbor's fenced area. BUT the house and area is far back from the road, so there is plenty of space to call doggy back where you want him. Also, I think there are fenced areas within fenced areas..mine got on the "wrong side" of the fence from me (which seems to go behind and around the house as well as into the previously mentioned big field behind the new houses) but found her way back into the field with me. So the "partial" fence does have escape potential. But again, the property is huge, if your dog has a half decent recall you can definitely manage and give you doggy galloping snuffling joy!Jennifer & Greg R.

55Heard about this property from a friend, and we loved it. Perfect for our 2 year old Great Dane. We booked for way longer than needed - didn't realize how quickly he would get tired! Lots of open space to run. No wooded trails, but walking along the woodline was very nice. The property was very maintained. Bring bug spray!!Stephanie S.

55Im so glad I found this spot! I live in an apartment with two dogs and one of them is very reactive/aggressive with other dogs so it’s hard to find places to let her out for exercise. There is a part of the yard that is not fenced but it’s way up the hill my dogs didn’t even notice it. But they also have a fully fenced in garden in the middle if your worried about your dog wandering off. But as long as you’re watching your dogs it’s not an issue at all. I will definitely be revisiting this spot.Katie R.

55Plenty of space for a pup to run and unleash their energy! We enjoyed walking around the field and playing some fetch. As the listing says, the area is only partially fenced and my dog could easily get underneath the fencing to escape. I wasn’t worried as he isn’t a runner and mostly thought it was fun to dart in and out, but a heads up for those whose dogs might flee to catch a smell! Jessica L.

55Fantastic spot with lots of room to run! Clean, safe and spacious. The only confusion we had was about where to park. The rules say to park anywhere on the gravel that’s not blocking the driveway, but I think they might have paved it because we didn’t see any gravel. We will definitely be back! Nikki W.

FAQ About Clarksville Dog Parks
Are dog parks good for dogs?
It is important for dogs to have off leash exercise to sniff and run. But the free and open nature of public dog parks has drawbacks. There could be aggressive dogs, disease transmission and cleanliness issues. For this reason, many dog behaviorists discourage visiting public dog parks and recommend Sniffspot's private dog parks. Sniffspot private dog parks only allow one guest to book at a time and are not open to the public, which solves many of these issues.
Are dog parks safe?
While public dog parks have a number of safety issues, such as aggressive dogs, disease transmission and general cleanliness, Sniffspot dog parks much safer than public dog parks. With Sniffspot all bookings are private for just you and dogs you bring with you and we require all dogs to be vaccinated (or have equivalent titers). All Sniffspot locations are vetted and reviewed by guests so you can find the perfect place for you and your dog. 3% of reviews on Sniffspot visits in the Clarksville area are 5 stars.
How do I know if a dog park works for my dog?
You can filter Sniffspot dog parks by fencing and distractions. If your dog doesn't have good recall, you can visit one of our 552 fully fenced dog parks in the area. If your dog is reactive to other dogs, you can visit one of our 816 off leash areas where there are no dogs audible or visible nearby. You can also filter locations to avoid other domestic animals and people. We also recommend reading reviews and reaching out to the host with any questions.
