We are centrally located near York Hospital and York College. Easy access with off street parking. Dog towels are provided when the pool is open. Pool is closed for winter but will reopen in April 2025. Weather permitting, the large back yard is open year round. We ask that you try to keep your dogs from playing on the pool cover.

Our SniffSpot Play Yard is fully fenced in with a 6ft tall wooden privacy fence. We have 19 wooded acres with our boarding facility being located at the South end of our property, the owners personal residence in the middle and our private SniffSpot play yard at the North end of our property. We do have a nice walking trail that meanders through our property but please be aware that our Playful Pups Retreat Staff may be walking overnight boarding dogs on the trail during our business hours. There is a container with a few toys to play with inside the SniffSpot yard but we do suggest bringing your own toys. Please bring poop bags and clean up after your pet. Please take bags of poop with you or stop at Playful Pups and dispose of it in one of our outdoor trash receptacles. FOR NOISE SENSITIVE DOGS! Located on a small private horse farm, we offer a safe and fun place to come play with agility equipment, run around, and just have fun. We do not offer lessons or agility training, and all equipment is for entertainment and playing. While some pieces are "competition quality" they are NOT intended to be representative of a true agility school's professional obstacles. Please know your dog's limitations and be smart and safe when using the equipment. The yard is fairly well lighted so that use in the short days of winter is possible. When booking during the dark, lights will be turned on for use. There is seating and a toy box that you can feel free to use. There are security cameras mounted near the back door as well as several outdoor security cameras on various outbuildings. Booking this spot means consent to monitoring. The deck is considered a private area and not open for use at this time.

Lovely, fully fenced yard secured by a gate (which also has mesh wire). The fence has recently been repaired to address any gaps at the bottom of the fence, but as with any spot, owners must watch their dogs at all times. The height of the fence (4-5 ft depending on slope) is suitable for most small and medium dogs and even large dogs who aren't jumpers. If your dog is a jumper or an escape artist, you may need a place with a higher fence. Owners are responsible for picking up after their dog with provided bucket and scoop. We scoop daily or more and endeavor to keep the spot poop free for your visit, however, understand that we do allow last minute bookings and that it is possible that if you book with very little time before the reservation begins, we may not be able to get out to the yard to check for any feces before you arrive. No other dogs will be present in yard while yard is rented, however, the neighbors do have 2 dogs that are outside occasionally but not often.

I loved when I saw this app and knew I could offer that space, away from other dogs like at the dog park for anyone to let their dogs run and have fun without the stress of being in a busy social environment. Welcome to our fenced yard where you can let your dogs run off leash and get some of their crazy energy out! *We do have a small chicken coop where you can see my flock. They are not able to get out and are secured during every visit.
