Big Oaks Kennel and Dog Park is offering our fully fenced front yard that is needing some dog activity! With agility courses, shade, and a firepit when its cold, this yard has everything! A restroom is available in our office during working hours. Because of water restrictions, we don't have carpet grass. Our yard is mowed but it has native grasses and weedy plants. Be aware: long haired dogs may pick up unwanted and pesky plant materials! Since this is a part of a dog boarding facility, we ask that shot records be up to date before each booking. For those who like their dogs to play in group, we do offer a yearly membership of $175 for our 3 acre dog park on the property. We have a beautiful 2 acre spot right on the Colorado River here in East Central Austin. Our dog is living her best life here, and we thought, “hey this could be a great place for people To bring their dogs!” And we are here for it! You can walk the the perimeter of the property, which is a perfect 400 meters(1 track lap). Part of the trail is all along the Colorado River, lined with beautiful tall trees. Sit in the egg chairs or hammock in the trees or enjoy the ample yard art everywhere and there is seating everywhere! You and your pup may encounter a bunny from time to time but they are pretty good and fast at getting out quickly (they're used to running from our cats). Please do not let dogs dig in the beds around the house and at the fence. The area fenced off next to the house is where grow our veggies and native plants are along the fence line to deter mosquitoes. Feel free to try some of what we are growing! Please enjoy our space!
