Host is so nice! He gave us the option of staying on his property or there is a cool lookout point/beach access to the lake. We decided to take Nikita on the long lead to check out the lake. It was beautiful and we enjoyed the mile walk down the service road.

This place was amazing! What a serene and beautiful part of the woods. We didn’t spend too much time on the actual property, although our dog loved running around down to the creek and back. We took Macken’s directions along the secluded lakefront trail to the beach which was about a mile from the property and spent most of our time there. We had the whole side of the lake to ourselves. We could hear a few people and their dogs across the lake at the day beach, but it wasn’t an issue for us and our dog. She had so much fun, and so did we. We also met Macken and talked for a bit towards the end, he was very kind and was even able to get our dog to show off a few tricks! We will definitely be booking again.

Perfect place to take a snowy walk. We didn't make it down to the lake because our small dog was too short to get far in the snow, but we will be back with his backpack! Incredibly gracious host, nothing but good things to say 💖

The most gorgeous chunk of property you could ever fine. Cute little trails around the woods, creeks to play in, livestock to do trainings nearby, it’s a haven for dog and human alike and we look forward to every visit!

I have been to Spring Acres many times, but today the setting was especially magical, vibrant, and lush. Most of the dogs in my pack have been to this sniff spot several times, too, but they are always so excited like it's their very first time. I love seeing the joy and excitement in their waggy tails and smiley faces. So much space to run! Creeks to splash! Logs to jump! And incredible smells to sniff! I love it so much. 💕 John and Stephanie take great care of this property and enjoy sharing it with all of us. For that, I am so grateful.

The dogs had such a fun time this evening: running, chasing, swimming, and sniffing. We love the trails and river. All the foliage is so green and beautiful. We even tried out the new pup shed--a great shelter for those soggy days. This is one of our favorite spots.

Absolutely stunning! John met us and was a very gracious host. Showed us to the park and even gave us a map. It’s like a fairy wonderland! Lots of trails with bridges, creeks and a river. The dogs were in heaven! Wish we had booked more time!

We had a blast with out German shepherd. He loves to be in the water and the property has an awesome river where he could fetch the sticks. We will definitely visit again.

We had a fantastic time at Spring Acres today! We hit all of the favorite spots... Down the Mossy Moss Trail (twice!), to the pasture where Luna lost her mind at the sight of Dolly the Goat and Inge found a GIANT stick, lots of romping and sploshing through little springs and big creeks, down to our Secret Cove, treasure hunting at Flat Rock Creek, photo opp at Devil's Club Members Only 👹 and down the Stony Steps Trail. The weather was perfect and everything was incredibly lush today.

What an incredible place! John met us for our first visit and walked us through the pasture of animals. My dog loved sniffing the grass as we passed through. The animals were so calm and so incredibly fun to see co-existing peacefully with one another and my dog. My friend and her three small, senior dogs met me there and they also loved going through the pasture. Once on the other side John gave us a quick tour and a map of the trails then we spent the rest of our time exploring the bridges, creeks, gorgeous river and trails. I am so glad we booked 1.5 hours. We still didn’t see it all. This place is truly one of a kind.

John and Steph were really kind. The spot is a paradise! I've never seen my puppy so happy running around and sniffing everything! She had an amazing time exploring and even had some swimming on the creek! Also, it was the first time that she saw farm animals! Amazing! We will come back as much as we can!
