55Brenda’s place was absolute heaven for my two (differently reactive) big rescue pups!! Plenty of space & quite secure, so we played more than once! Many different things for them to sniff around, play on/in, and just be silly dogs! Yep, I’ve got a lab-mix, and he had a ball in her drain tunnel & pond too, haha! Brenda keeps a nice place, has different areas for pet drinking, high grass as well as low/mowed trail spots too, sitting areas, and also several trash receptacles available. Maybe we will come back to camp sometime too! She was easy to communicate with & understanding when we ran late or visited a little early! 55At the last moment, we decided to check out Brenda's place...a beautiful property in rural Lyon County. It is fenced on the east side (which faces the road) with 2"x4" welded wire and farm fencing and barbed wire on the south, west, and north sides. A walking path is mown around the pond. The drive and camping spots were neatly mown as well. I noticed water hydrants, a bench to relax on and a port-o-potty. My girls found brushy areas to explore and plenty of tall grass to sniff in...however...the pond was BY FAR the favorite spot!!! They had an absolute blast! Are dog parks good for dogs?
It is important for dogs to have off leash exercise to sniff and run. But the free and open nature of public dog parks has drawbacks. There could be aggressive dogs, disease transmission and cleanliness issues. For this reason, many dog behaviorists discourage visiting public dog parks and recommend Sniffspot's private dog parks. Sniffspot private dog parks only allow one guest to book at a time and are not open to the public, which solves many of these issues.
Are dog parks safe?
While public dog parks have a number of safety issues, such as aggressive dogs, disease transmission and general cleanliness, Sniffspot dog parks much safer than public dog parks.
