Welcome to 50 acres of puppy heaven! Located off Crittenden Road in Suffolk, Virginia. Please take dirt lane, there is no house. Please do not disturb neighbors. Drive or Walk through the gate and the whole area is yours! There are walking trails in the woods, a pond to find and a river to explore. The open field is wonderful for training and or play. Your dog will love exploring this wonderful property. ***This is the country. The land is wonderful to explore but it is vacant and undeveloped. You will encounter nature, really in the spring and summer. There are ticks, snakes, uneven ground, rabbits, wet spots, etc. Please only book if you are used to the outdoors and being adventurous!*** Update from my guests comments: Wear bug spray when it’s warm, check for ticks after a visit, boots are recommended after rainy days, dogs may get muddy bring towels and look for the new mailbox to identify the dirt lane off the road. We recommend you bring towels to dry your dog ,bug spray and sunscreen during warmer months. We’d love to welcome you to our place. We used a non-toxic dye in ponds  in early March to give shade for the large Koi. It helps protect them from the blue herring until the summer grass comes in. It has almost completely faded, and it’s safe for fish plants, domestic and wildlife just a little heads up. our grandchildren swim in it. So feel safe.

Entrance to the right: Please follow the Sniffspot flags to enter our yard (PLEASE ONLY USE ENTRANCE WITH FLAGS- RIGHTHAND SIDE) **Please keep in mind for everyone’s safety, we share two fence lines with neighboring dogs. There is no way they can physically interact with your dog through the fence, but control of your dog must be your priority while walking to and from our property. We live in a suburb with close neighbors whom often enjoy their outdoor space in good weather. Penny’s Place is exactly what you want to make of it! Nearly one acre of fully fenced space where you can run, sunbathe, sniff the few trees, play with the hose and kiddie pool, whatever your pup’s heart desires! We do our best to refund our guests when unforeseen circumstances arise, derailing your reservation. Please try to give us notice, even if you are within the 2 hour window, so we can cancel your block. *if bad weather is highly anticipated in the area, please understand that we may not always approve a full refund if you cancel last minute HOURS: we close nightly at 10pm and reopen the following morning at 6 am. We vow to never raise our prices above $10/hr. Winter months see a price drop to $8/hr ❄️☃️

If your dogs are into water sports, you've found the right place: There is a concrete bulkhead that eases into the water... It's 3-4 feet deep at water's edge. The picturesque Wiseacre Estate has been an Airbnb for 10+ years, and now is also a private, peaceful retreat for your beloved doggies! * Hose and water bowl on-premises. Large deck overlooking the entire yard with a beautiful wooded backdrop. 3 access gates provide easy in and out. Even take your dogs for a quiet walk thru the woods if you want! You can’t go wrong with this yard!

🐶 A tired dog is a happy dog :) 📍This ~3000sq/ft of private fully fenced yard is a great area to let your dogs run, especially reactive pups! Letting a dog off the leash where they can run around makes a huge difference for a dog’s well-being, mentally and physically. I believe all dogs deserve their own private space to live their best lives. I have worked very hard on building the dream yard for my dogs to enjoy. We have a fully fenced yard( 4 foot chain link and 6 foot wood fence around the sides) We have a big open grass area for playing ball and fetch. Pool is open to any pup that can swim! We have a deck if your pup loves to swim. We also have a gate on the steps. We have a ton of kids toys to enjoy as well if your little one is joining, Including a trampoline with net, sand box, play house, climbing dome, saucer swing. I grow flowers so once they bloom they make a beautiful photo back drop. We do have chickens, some dogs may not be familiar with, but they will be in a predator proof run (visible tho) but they are used to dogs. We hope you enjoy are spot!

All amenities are available if guests inquire about prior to arrival. I will leave them at the access point, and kindly ask to be placed back after visits. Large field with plenty of space to run around to get your pups energy out. We allow farmers to farm this field during the seasons, so during certain times, this location may be closed to avoid crops being destroyed, or pets to be exposed to any potential pesticides ( please note that our farmers do not use typical pesticides due to our horses being in close proximity) We have a wooded area that is able to be accessed if acquired about prior to visits, and if able to accommodate at the time as the woods are closer to our horse pastures, and home, so it will have to be prearranged. The woods have a trail that is quite extensive, but please keep in mind during warmer months that it is likely you can encounter snakes in that area. We also have swamp areas in the woods, which is nice to watch the birds and turtles in their natural habitats. The field is flat landscape, and is perfect to throw frisbees, tennis balls, etc with your dog. My back yard is fully fenced and gets mowed every 2 weeks. It is accessible via the gate at the side of the house. It is mostly even grass. After a good rain the yard is full of fun puddles and can be muddy. So much fun for the pups! There are a couple of chairs in the yard and plenty of street parking.
