Great place for nervous dogs because our neighbors do not have pets. Plenty of birds and squirrels. Several sitting areas. Under the porch you have protection from the rain. We have also just added a cloth greenhouse that you can use to stay dry and a bit warmer. There is so many spots of shade from the many trees. A little spot of heaven in a beautiful city.

My husband has taken it upon himself to mow out a trail that goes along the side of our half of the property.it is not fenced in but if your pup is off lead trained feel free to let them run .we also have a part of Feild that is not mowed but for the off lead trained pups it's a great spot to let them run ! If they are not off lead trained still an amazing spot to go for a walk on a private trail with out worrying of being over crowded .our 5 pups absolutely love it out there . The pictures do no justice for this beautiful trail it's a must see

***Charges are in USD*** We at BHS understand that letting your dog run and play is so important! But some dogs aren't suitable for dog parks or social areas. Our private, fully fenced half acre yard is the perfect place to let your (reactive or otherwise) dog just be a dog and get some freedom! Please check in at the front desk to get the key to the yard, and clean up after yourself. There are water bowls in the yard, but please bring your own water. There are trees providing shady areas throughout the day. If bringing back the key when we are not open, please put it in the Mailbox, located beside our Front Doors. When we are open, our receptionists will gladly take the key back from you! All the fees go directly to the animals in our case, and we are a registered charity and no-kill shelter. Our property is a functioning farm. We raise beef cows, sheep and various poultry. We have trails through the bush to walk as well as a 100’ pond for swimming with a dock. ( dogs only for swimming)

Our farm is located on 100 acres of beautifully scenic property and we have opened 26 acres of that space for you to explore. Our property is on predominantly flat elevation with trails, multiple fields and roughly 7 acres of forest. While the forest can be dense in spots, it is very walkable and presents a lovely spot to hike through. We have 5 ponds as well as a stream that runs the width of our property and travels through the forest. We have a myriad of wildlife that you may see or encounter during your adventures here. These could include (but are not limited to) great blue herons, muskrats, rabbits, geese, ducks, deer and coyotes. We do have livestock and a guardian dog on the property (they are fully fenced) as well as family pets so please respect their space and ensure your dogs are leashed anytime you are nearing the barn, paddock or barnyard areas.
