Enjoy a peaceful space in Mars Hill located on an active hobby farm. Our Sniffspot is fully enclosed with no-climb, 4ft goat fencing and includes walking paths and a small creek for your pups to play in. Easy access from the main road with a small graveled parking space right in front of the Sniffspot entrance. As most properties in Mars Hill, the acreage is located on a hillside. Your dog can play near the creek at the bottom of the slope which is more flat and shaded or take a short hike along the path to the top and enjoy amazing mountain views while your pup plays in the pasture! We do have chickens, goats, sheep and pigs that remain in their separate fenced in pasture, but occasionally the chickens may roam in the parking area, so please be aware.

Currently the only things available are access to two water spigots and a short water hose inside the fenced in area. There is also a hammock stand if you would like to bring your own hammock for lounging or you can sit on the front porch. You are welcome to use the back yard as well, but it is not fenced in. Please be mindful of some small gaps under the fence in the front yard as well. If you have a dog that is an escape artist this might not be the best Sniffspot for you all. 🐾 Parking is available on the left side of the house and behind the house. Please do not park on the gravel to the right side of the fence - That is a shared drive way with my neighbors. I'm so excited to get started! If you have any questions, just let me know. 🙂

This is a big space that has both A large gravel drive and tall grass/plants in the very back. All for your pup to run around in! There is an additional space that is mostly grass and also fully fenced and separate from the other space if needed. There is a wooden and black gate you will approach upon arrival. Drive to the inside of the gate to park. You’ll then close and lock the gate (before your pup gets out of the car). You’ll be given a lock code after reserving the space. Any dirty poo bags can be left by the gate entrance (on the inside) for us to dispose of after.

Lovely country home on 1 acre with 1/2 acre fully fenced. Beautiful flower, veggie and herb garden in the backyard. No smoking or alcohol consumption is allowed here. The neighbors leave their two Great Danes outside most of the time. They sometimes run up and down the fence line barking, so if your dog is reactive, this might be an issue. I have a 4' chain link fence and the neighbor has a 6' wooden fence, so the dogs are hidden. Overall, it’s a very peaceful and serene, lovely green space. We don’t use any chemicals or pesticides on the yard or garden.

Nice fenced in back yard with enough room for plenty of running and playing. Will have a kiddy pool set up for swimming and cooling off, hose, deck for lounging. There is also a covered porch for the owners to relax with electrical outlets outside as well. Water bowls as well.

WE ARE OPEN post-Helene! The top pasture of this small farm is available for dogs to sniff and exercise. Sometimes there will be farm animal smells, horses and goats, and turkeys, rabbits and deer may also visit. The neighbors have a dog in their fenced yard but they're usually good about bringing him in if someone is in the sniff spot. There is a nice hill to tire everyone out, and a pretty view of my little farm. If you sit at the top and throw balls down the hill your dogs will get very tired! There is a picnic table, a swing, a table and chairs, a fire pit chairs, a splashing trough, a dog toy box, and a hose. You can pull right in through the double red gates and close them behind you, to leave my neighbors room to drive past. This will also ensure your dogs don't escape from the sniff spot when you open the car doors. There is a large horse water trough, feel free to dump it and refill it if you need to (and if you're strong enough!) Please have fun with the dog toys - if your dog tears one up just toss out the stuffing or pieces. That's just what dogs do!

This is a lovely enclosed, half acre lot,brand new 6 foot,wooden privacy fence, and 4 foot chain link fence, around all property. A Mobile home, with 50 foot front porch, porch chairs and table and gated,is also for your usage. Doggy bowls provided, toys, and treats too! This spot is 50+ acres of open fields and forest, non-residential, with a mountain stream along the western border, and a 1/4 acre farm pond. There are no pets or livestock on the property, so if your dog likes to run free and fast, this is the place for adventure. There are some trails through the woods, seasonal berry picking, a water hydrant with public water, and shelters with an indoor bathroom if needed. The land also hosts our sawmill and lumber kiln as well as a mechanic shop leased to a friend, but most of the land is open for exploration. There is a gravel/dirt road that loops around the property, but is not recommended for low clearance vehicles. Plenty of parking anywhere along the loop. Squirrels and wild rabbits to chase!

This is a 100 year old Victorian that we live in part of the year and rent as a vacation rental other parts. We love dogs, have 3 large ones of our own and are an extremely dog friendly rental so it makes sense to let others use it when it’s available. It is a fully fenced backyard at a residential home. It is available when not rented or when we are not in residence.

Silent H Acres is almost an acre fenced spot for your dog to go sniffing, running, fetching, and discovering. There are toys to play with (frisbees, tug rope, tennis balls, etc) and sticks to fetch. The grass ranges from 2” mowed, to 4” natural, up to about 12+ inches. A smattering of trees and two sitting areas for you - the gray Adirondack chairs are a bit too heavy to move, but feel free to move the red ones anywhere you would like. ***We will be adding a couple of agility exercise areas for your dog in the next few days. Toward the front of the field, I have mowed a curvy type of track in case you want to work on guided leash training. For you, we will keep a track around the perimeter of the fence mowed so you can use it for a walking track. PLEASE NOTE, the electric fence is DISCONNECTED. *POST HELENE UPDATE 10/13/24* I am so sad to say that the Helene floods have completely destroyed our Sniffspot. We hope to reopen one day but the space will be a completely different place. We are hard at work doing what we can so please check back often. UPDATE 4/11/24* The bugs can get really bad at certain times of year. Mostly gnats around the face and no-see-ums. I do provide bug spray and bug nets that work best when worn with a hat. The worst of the bugs are early spring (April-June). Not fenced but not immediately bordered by anything but forest or field on all sides. The property is 12 acres with mostly open or treed space. There is a small beach area with water calm enough for dogs to swim and fetch sticks. We have picnic tables and chairs that you can use but please pick up after yourself, your dog, and your kids. There is now a trashcan provided on the beach for your convenience. Downstream side of property has an “island” that can be explored. The neighbors property downstream starts shortly free the road narrows between the river and steep bank. It’s usually more overgrown and can visually tell the upkeep is different. Please avoid being on their property. Flood waters make signage difficult to use in this area. Just message me if you need more details on the boundary line.

There is a creek, woods, and a big hill that has quite a view from the top.

It's not uncommon to spot a black bear or deer passing thru the fields because this private dog park is an example of true country living!
