The 24 hrs notice is only required for the first visit, so we can sniff each other out. We live on a quiet street, with minimal traffic. Lots of kids and dogs are passing us by all day, though. Our backyard is fully fenced in with two egress gates. There are two small holes in the white fence, please see pictures, as they are only big enough for small animals to pass through. It's a nice, safe spot and we will see lots of our avian, and some burrowing, friends. No dogs live at our house right now but our neighbors do have dogs, too. We would love for some canine companions to come to play. The sprinkle pool and indoor restroom will only be available if we are actually home for your visit.

We love being a part of Sniffspot and providing a safe space for dogs to get exercise and explore. I have had reactive dogs and understand the struggles to find fun and safe spaces for them to explore. Come here and enjoy a fully fenced backyard with pool (OPTIONAL EXTRA FEE-POOL IS NOT INCLUDED IN THE YARD BOOKING FEE AND YOU MUST ADD EXTRA). Fence height 4 - 5 feet. Large park like setting with grassy flat area for dogs to romp and play. There are dog bowls available and a hose for water. There is seating available as well as a furnished and seasonally decorated gazebo to sit and enjoy some shade and take some cute photos. We also leave free treats in the gazebo for our furry guests. A beautiful large mulberry tree also provides some nice shade. There is a heated built in pool, which is separately fenced for safety, and available for use with ADDITIONAL FEE. Dog toys available for in and out of the pool. For pool users we offer several sizes of dog swim vests from XS to XL. I also offer a supply of bug spray and sunscreens. In case of muddy paws there are pet wipes for dogs, hand wipes for human guests and also a first aid kit just in case. There is a large private driveway for parking. Please remember the purpose of Sniffspot...to interact with your dog so please engage with them and supervise them at all times…no dogs should be unattended at any time. My main focus of becoming a host is for the enjoyment, enrichment, benefit and safety of THE DOGS...this is why we have clear rules, boundaries and limitations which we ask that all of our guests respect. Please always ask if you have any questions or need clarification. Also, as much as we love kids, ADULTS ONLY please. To our pool users...If you have added the pool as an add on, the dogs are all welcome. Their humans (1 adults only per dog) are also allowed to enter with the dog as long as the human is interacting/playing with the dog (if no dog in the pool, then no people in the pool). If your dog has never been in a pool, DO NOT traumatize your dog by just throwing them in and PLEASE USE LIFE VEST (many sizes available) and introduce slowly. I do my best to clean/skim the hair out of the pool between guests IF I am home. Unfortunately, I am not always home and cannot attend to the pool in between, and I apologize in advance if there is hair from a previous guest. I have a robot skimmer which may be floating in the pool to help keep if clean. If it is in the pool, please remove before entering and replace when you are done (there are instructions on how to do that at the pool). If you have a dog that may heavily shed, perhaps brush if possible before attending so that less hair enters the pool. We want to keep it nice and clean for all of our guests so everyone has a positive experience.We also do not want to put extra stress on the pool filter so we can keep it running for everyone to use. I also leave a skimmer net by the pool if needed. FYI...It's NJ so the pool is only open from May until end of September. Please keep this in mind when booking and feel free to message me if you want to check on availability. Our yard is very safe but keep in mind this is a backyard which is surrounded by woods and you are outdoors and there are things you may potentially see or encounter. We do use mosquito control but there can be bugs, mosquitoes, gnats, frogs, spiders, bees, wasps, critters, groundhogs, chipmunks, snakes, rabbits, opossum, squirrels, deer, turkey, hawks just to name a few. This is nature and we cannot control nature. NOTE: 1) PLEASE DO NOT BRING ANY DOG THAT IS SHOWING ANY SIGNS OF SICKNESS OR ILLESS (DIARRHEA, VOMITING, COUGHING, LETHARGY). ALSO, I KNOW SNIFFSPOT ASKS ABOUT DOGS BEING VACCINATED BUT DOESN'T REQUIRE PROOF. I BEG OF ANY GUEST THAT YOUR DOG PLEASE BE HEALTHY AND FULLY VACCINATED. I HAVE A SPECIAL NEEDS DOG THAT IS IMMUNE COMPROMISED AND I NEED TO PROTECT HIS WELL BEING. 2) Allowed 1-2 ADULTS per dog ONLY. 3) Pool area: Use at your own risk. Pool is 3 - 10ft on the deepest end. No running, diving or food/glass around pool. Fully fenced in, grassy backyard that is 25' X 75' (1850 sq ft) in a quiet community drive. The yard is bi-level. Lowest point of fencing is 40". Three-quarters of the yard has taller fencing, some being chain link and other being chicken wire. Parking must be on the street, not in the community drive. You can easily walk down into the community drive with your dog on leash and enter the yard on your own.

Our spot is a private fenced in rooftop that is approximately 500 square feet in East Williamsburg. Enjoy comfy couches, a hammock chair, tables and WiFi during your stay. We provide dog toys, water, treats and a shaded dog bed. Everyone and every pup is welcome here! Keep in mind the rooftop gets full sun on sunny days. There is an umbrella, but it doesn’t shade the whole space. Accessibility: It is 4 flights of stairs to get to the rooftop. The building does not have an elevator. We live 1 flight down and love dogs! We have a 10 year old Pittie mix named Cocoa. She loves all humans, but not so much dogs, so she’ll stay in our apartment during your rental. We’re always available for questions or if you need anything. Thanks for considering our rooftop spot!
