What an awesome spot with trails and a creek! I appreciated the clear instructions from the host on how to access the Sniffspot. The trails way back in the woods aren’t as clearly marked so I did some guessing but it wasn’t too hard to figure out. My dog absolutely loved the creek and I got some nice photo opps! I will definitely be back!

The spot was great! When we first go there the neighbors dogs barked, but they stopped pretty quickly. The trail was fun, and my pup had a great time.

Parking was easy and I was lucky enough to not see the neighbor’s dog like some other reviews have mentioned. We accidently stumbled upon the chicken coop, and it is a beautiful one (I didn’t get close because dogs haha). Once I was comfortable with our surroundings, I was able to let one of my dogs off leash and kept the other on a long lead. They had a great time taking in all the sniffs and loved the creek. It was a great place to solidify my hearing dog’s recall, because I didn’t have to worry about being rude or other people/ dogs being around.

The boys had the best time. There was so much space to run and so much to sniff. They also enjoyed wading in the creek. The trail was a little tricky to follow during all the rain but we had no problem getting back to our car. We are on a long roadtrip and this was a great spot to get some Aussie energy out. Deedra’s instructions were clear and she was also very responsive. We were traveling through from Nashville and with the heavy rains and traveling with a small human were running behind, fortunately we were still able to change our reservation. If we are ever passing through the area again we would definitely do this spot again.

It was a really refreshing stop on our long drive west! There are a few short paths to walk on and a little creek with really clear fresh water. We went during the hot streak of early summer so some of the paths were a little overgrown but we stepped through anyway. It was perfect. Thank you!

My boy loved it! The woods were definitely a little overgrown and I wouldn’t recommend anyone passing through if you’re icked out by spiders as we encountered a lot of webs, but the CREEK was perfect and my pup had the time of his life in it. We didn’t hear any of the dogs some of the reviews have mentioned, we did find the chickens though! They were safely away in their coop and we walked around their enclosure to not disturb them. Such a lovely little spot.

Our pups loved the creek and trail! It was very private. No other dogs or people. Will def be back! The trail and creek are both fully shaded. Instructions on parking and how to get there are super clear!

Pups absolutely loved it. Lots of running, sniffing and swimming. We are in the area for 10 days visiting and plan to visit a few more times. I would recommend downloading the directions as on the way back I had cell issues in the area while trying to map my return trip.

Such a lovely property!! My boy had a ball weaving through the woods and splashing in the creek. Plenty of space for him to play and sniff! Instructions from the host were clear and there’s even a trail that runs through the woods you can follow. We stopped by on a road trip home, but would love to visit again one day!

Are dog hiking trails safe?

While public dog parks have a number of safety issues, such as aggressive dogs, inattentive owners, disease transmission and general cleanliness, Sniffspot dog parks are much safer than a city or county park. With a Sniffspot off-leash area all bookings are private for just you and dogs you bring with you and we require all dogs to be vaccinated (or have equivalent titers). Our hiking trails tend to be outside the city, which lends to more privacy, but it is also important to follow typical hiking safety precautions, such as potentially having trail maps.

What are the requirements to bring my dog to a Sniffspot dog hiking trail?

In order to hike the trails, we require that all dogs have basic vaccinations or equivalent titers. We do not permit dogs with a bite history. We require that guests sign our waiver and agree to follow our safety rules.

Will there be other dogs at the Sniffspot hiking trail at the same time as me?

Sniffspot only allows one booking at a time and any host dogs are required to be kept away from the spot during visits. We also enforce 30 min time buffers between bookings.
