DOG PARK RULES
These rules have been established to ensure that our dog parks are safe, healthy, and happy places to play. Adherence to these rules is a condition of your membership and use of the dog parks.
- Entry into the dog park is at the risk of the dog owners or handlers. Dog owners or handlers are responsible and liable for any damage to property, persons, or other animals caused by their dog(s). If your dog injures another dog, you are required to assist in any way needed, and to provide your name and contact information to the owner of the injured dog and failure to do so will result in termination of membership
- All dogs must remain on leash until they are inside the dog park. The official dog park tag must be displayed on the dog(s) at all times or the dog is not to enter the park. Choke, pinch, studded, and chain collars as well as gentle leaders must be removed upon entering the dog park but some kind of collar must remain on the dog, with LDRA, rabies, and license tags affixed.
- Dog owners or handlers shall not have more than three dogs in the dog park at one time. All dogs shall be accompanied and supervised by an adult owner or handler at all times. Dog owners or handlers shall remove their dog(s) at the first sign of aggressive behavior.
- The small dog area is limited to dogs weighing less than 30 pounds. If small dog owners are comfortable letting their small dog play in the main area then they may do so.
- All dogs must have current Rabies vaccination. Distemper, Parvo, and Bordetella (Kennel Cough) vaccinations are also strongly recommended, as is flea and heartworm preventative medication. A Rabies tag and the official LDRA dog park permit tag must be worn and displayed by all dogs at all times.
- All dogs must be licensed through the county/community in which they reside or if the county of residence doesn’t require one then a Metro Louisville Dog License is required. The license tag must be worn on the collar as required by the state.
- Do not bring a dog into the dog park that you know to be ill with a viral infection, a bacterial infection, a parasitic infection (worms, fleas, ticks), or has any open wounds.
- All owners or handlers must pick up any waste left by their dog(s) to ensure cleanliness and to avoid potential health risks. Failure to do so may result in loss of park privileges. Bags have been provided so please use them.

- Female dogs in heat may not enter the dog park.
- Dogs, owners, and park users creating a disturbance or violating posted rules must immediately leave the dog park if requested by LDRA officials, law enforcement personnel, park personnel, or their designated agents. Why rent a private dog park in Louisville, Kentucky?
55Truly exceeded our expectations! Loki doesn’t get off the leash much and this was far greater than we thought it would be! He didn’t mess with any of the agility equipment but explored and had free rein of the property and it was more than enough space for him to tucker himself out! We will definitely come back!! 55Such a great space to have in the city! Very clean, tons of space to run and lots of toys and agility equipment to keep our dog occupied. As others have mentioned, there are a couple of neighboring yards on the lefthand side with dogs, one in particular who barks a lot, but there is a privacy tarp over that part of the fence which helps a lot. There are also barrels that could be moved to block access to other fence with the very friendly dog if needed, but there was plenty of room for my reactive dog to still enjoy himself away from that corner of the field. The spot is almost fully shaded in the late afternoon/evening, which is so nice on hot days! All in all, a really wonderful spot to visit! Kelsey G.

55This place is a hidden gem.
More room than I anticipated.
Even at full strength I could barely get the ball across the length of the space.
It was clean, quite and well maintained.
I forgot my toys for Osiris but, there were plenty in hand .
The agility skill set is a plus.

55Our pup is scared of new dogs and new people. We cant go to regular parks with him so we gave SniffSpot a try, we loved this place! There was toys that our boy LOVED even over his favorite ones we brought with us. It was a HOT day but there are so many trees that he has plenty of shade to run around in while maximizing the whole place. Highly recommend. Paige M.

Only recommendation I have is to bring some bug spray with you, the host had everything else covered! Haley C.

Are dog parks good for dogs?
It is important for dogs to have off leash exercise to sniff and run. But the free and open nature of public dog parks has drawbacks. There could be aggressive dogs, disease transmission and cleanliness issues. For this reason, many dog behaviorists discourage visiting public dog parks and recommend Sniffspot's private dog parks. Sniffspot private dog parks only allow one guest to book at a time and are not open to the public, which solves many of these issues.
Are dog parks safe?

With Sniffspot all bookings are private for just you and dogs you bring with you and we require all dogs to be vaccinated (or have equivalent titers). All Sniffspot locations are vetted and reviewed by guests so you can find the perfect place for you and your dog. 97% of reviews on Sniffspot visits in the Louisville area are 5 stars.
How do I know if a dog park works for my dog?
You can filter Sniffspot dog parks by fencing and distractions. If your dog doesn't have good recall, you can visit one of our 165 fully fenced dog parks in the area. If your dog is reactive to other dogs, you can visit one of our 13 off leash areas where there are no dogs audible or visible nearby. You can also filter locations to avoid other domestic animals and people. We also recommend reading reviews and reaching out to the host with any questions.
