K-9 Dog Park
K-9 Dog Park hours are 6 a.m.-11 p.m.
2) K-9 Dog Park will be closed for maintenance 6-9 a.m. on Mondays and Thursdays.
3) All key fobs need to be scanned before entering the park for accurate count of members usage.
4) Do not allow people or dogs in the park who do not have a key fob, even a not working key fob.
Call the Schaumburg Park District at 847-985-2115 to inquire why the fob is not working. Report
fence jumpers to the police at 847-882-3586 or dial 911.
5) Puppies under 6 months old are not allowed in the park.
6) Maximum two dogs per handler at the park. Both dogs must remain in the same area with their",handler.,"7) Dogs more than 30 pounds must use the large dog area. Although not recommended, small
dogs also may use the large dog area. Large dogs (30+ pounds) are not allowed in the small
dog area.
8) The agility area is open to all dogs. The agility area cannot be used for dog obedience training.
9) Professional pet trainers may not use the park to conduct business.
10) Do not allow your dog to run to the gate when another dog enters. The gate area must be kept
clear at all times so members can enter and exit without incident. For safety reasons, do not
congregate near the entrance.
11) A handler must be 18 years or older and present at all times. The handler is solely responsible
for the actions of their dog(s). Children between the ages of 11 and 17 are not permitted within
the park unless accompanied by an adult. Children younger than 11 are not allowed in the park.
12) Dogs must remain leashed until they are inside the small or large areas. For the safety of all
dogs, no prong or pinch collars are allowed in the park. Leashes must be removed once in the
park. If you are uncomfortable with your dog being off the leash, park use is not permitted.
13) Handlers must supervise their dog(s). Handlers must be in sight of their dogs, with leash at",hand.,"14) Be courteous and respectful of all dog owners and handlers.
15) Dogs that are unruly toward other dogs or handlers must be removed immediately.
16) If your dog injures another dog or handler, give your name and phone number to the injured
party. You are legally and financially responsible for your dog’s actions and any harm caused to
others or damage to property. For more information about our Dog Incident Policy, information
is in this packet or visit our website at parkfun.com.
17) Dogs that exhibit exploratory mating behaviors or aggression (including urinating on other
animals or people) should be removed immediately from the park to avoid injuries to other
dogs and owners. Chronic or habitual offenders will lose their K-9 Dog Park privileges.
18) If an incident or injury occurs, contact Animal Control at 847-882-3586 or call 911.
19) Pick up your dog’s droppings and any “orphaned” droppings. Bags and waste receptacles are
available. Carry extra bags with you.
20)Dogs must display a current rabies tag and K-9 Dog Park colored dog tag.
21) Dogs in ‘heat’ are not allowed in the park.
22) Dogs who are unhealthy are not allowed in the park. Flea and tick treatment is recommended,
particularly during spring, summer and fall.
23) No smoking, glass containers, food (including dog treats, rawhide, bones and hooves), alcohol
or beverages are allowed in the dog park. This is to ensure the park stays clean and to prevent
dogs from begging for food or showing aggressive behavior.

9 a.m.-11 p.m. - Monday and Thursday (Closed for maintenance 6-9 a.m.)
