55Such a beautiful spot and my dogs had the time of their lives! First time my own 2 dogs under 20 lbs each were ‘free range’ and it was absolutely delightful and totally secure. My older dog who wanders and does her own thing never got lost and acted like a pup. My short-legged younger dog navigated the field and trails like big dog. Best of all, my tiny foster chihuahua was absolutely safe and had a blast. Barb is a wonderful host and has created an incredible space for dogs to have an amazing experience.Tina C.

55You can pretend that you have your own private forest with a crew that maintains the trails for you! If you have any thoughts that you'd like to forget, this is the place to go.
My dog was ecstatic and we had a blast watching her run non-stop at full tilt and hunt with abandon. The terrain, trees, and vegetation gave her an excellent workout.
Much work has been done to make the trails easy to negotiate by constant upkeep and by using straw and other materials for great footing.
Despite just finishing record-breaking rain, it was still good to go. It was the day after the atmospheric river flooded Whatcom County (rain stopped yesterday afternoon; flooding and many roads closed) and it was no problem to visit. We luckily don't live near closed roads.
We were removed from everyday suburbia to a green, quiet, private retreat. The many interesting and winding trails over undulating terrain made for constant interest. Traversing the paths and negotiating the various water features keep your attention from wandering.
At the moment there are some pools of water that can be passed through within just several paces. Rubber calf boots worked well. If you don't want to wade, you can go around, or, reverse for just a bit and follow yet another trail. The rest was wet trail covered with leaves. At this time of year and under these current conditions, you'll want boots, preferably waterproof.
What a great escape. We'll be back.C W.

55My dogs and I loved Barb's Peaceful min retreat. This was my first time using a sniffspot, and Barb was very welcoming. Her property offers a beautiful wooded area with well maintained trails, a very large pasture/grass area to play, a water station and toys. My dogs were very happy to run free on this beautiful property. We will be back! Debbie T.

55Such a great time!! The sniffspot is huge, plenty of things to explore. My dogs were a little hesitant of the water at first, but they ended up going in for a splash and it was a lot of fun. A little far from Mill Creek, but definitely worth the drive. We'll be back soon! :)Jenny P.

55Our pups absolutely loved the space to roam and play. Both dogs played with a ball and enjoyed hanging out together. The fencing was secure all the way around, and having access to fresh water was a plus! Our dogs can sometimes be reactive at dog parks, and we love being able to just take our two without the stress of other dog interactions. Michele P.

55What a beautiful and varied property -- perfect for a couple of city-slicker dogs! The lot is completely secure and offers something for every dog's desire: grass to chase around on; lots of trees along the perimeter which invite inquisitive noses; and -- my dogs' favorite area -- the shady woods inside the entrance. They were enthralled by the logs, the trees, all the possibilities for chasing each other or squirrels! We all loved it, maybe my foster dog most of all.Ruthanne R.

55My dogs loved this SniffSpot! There’s so much to explore and plenty of room to run. Their neighbor has an excitable Boxer that was out for a short period of time but it wasn’t a bother for us. Overall, we will be returning! Definitely our favorite SniffSpot so far. Tatiana G.

55Best SniffSpot we’ve ever been to! Instructions were very clear and easy to follow. Gorgeous land and plenty of room for our wirehaired pointing griffon to sniff and run. Our griff is leash reactive and doesn’t have the best recall yet so it was awesome to have a spot that feels so safe and secure for him to roam. Thanks so much, Ellen. We will be back!!Joseph B.

FAQ about our New Westminster dog fields
Are dog fields safe?
If you are looking for an adventure, but also looking for safety, Sniffspot dog fields are a great option. While public dog parks have a number of safety issues, such as aggressive dogs, distracted dog owners, disease transmission and general cleanliness, Sniffspot dog parks are much safer than public dog parks. With Sniffspot all bookings are private space for just you and doggy friends you bring with you and we require all dogs to be vaccinated (or have equivalent titers). Especially for training, privacy is ideal. Contrary to public dog parks, all Sniffspot locations are vetted and reviewed by guests so you can find the perfect place for you and your dog for off leash exercise or outdoor training. 93% of reviews on Sniffspot visits are 5 stars, while public dog parks often do not even have verified reviews. All payment is done securely online by credit card in a few simple clicks.
All park rental information is available online. Start by filtering parks by fencing, size and distractions, to find a private spot that works for your dog. If your dog has poor recall, you can visit one of our secure fields. If your dog is reactive to other dogs, you can visit one of our dog fields where there are no dogs audible or visible nearby. You can review the details of the listing to make sure it works as your desired activity space, for example, safe dog exercise, dog training, a stress-free adventure with your furry friend or even a puppy event. You can even check the park amenities chart for amenities such as indoor training facilities, agility field, synthetic turf, exercise balls or field parking availability in advance. If inclement weather is an issue or poor field conditions, you can reschedule your visit up to 2 hours in advance.
What are the requirements to bring my dog to a Sniffspot dog field?
We require that all four-legged friends have basic vaccinations or equivalent titers. We do not allow dogs with a bite history. We require that guests sign our waiver and agree to follow our safety rules. Make sure to check host rules before visiting to ensure, for instance, that you are following allowable sports activities rules and any special events rules.
Will there be other dogs at the Sniffspot field at the same time as me?
No. Facility rentals are for private play time and any host dogs are required to be kept away from the area during visits, so this is perfect for a private adventure for you and your doggie friends, and perhaps a human friend. Hosts understand that many guests have dogs in training and are nervous owners. So when you book a Sniffspot dog field you have the entire private spot to yourself. We also enforce 30 min time buffers between time slots so you will not run into other guest dogs or a previous person when coming or leaving in the field parking area. Some hosts may have multiple fields, but there is always a buffer between fields.
How much do Sniffspot fields cost?
Dog fields in the New Westminster area range from $6.0 and $6.0. The least expensive dog field is Fully Fenced Whittier Heights Yard. The most expensive dog field is Fully Fenced Whittier Heights Yard. Each host sets their own price, so you can check the price on the specific Sniffspot dog park listing.
