Lots to do if you rent it for an hour, but we thankfully rented it for an hour and a half and were able to use the fenced in area for some disc practice, and mix it in with the trail wandering. Lisa’s animals were also a great distraction and allowed us to work on obedience with some very intriguing smells and sights around. We also added the extra of meeting and feeding the farm animals and it was such a great experience. We put the dogs in the car and spent about half an hour feeding the animals and chatting with Lisa. Having the chickens, goats and alpacas in the enclosure beside the Sniff Spot was fantastic exposure and a great training opportunity to teach my Vizsla to leave livestock alone. They stayed clear of coming too close to the Sniff Spot fence so it was nice to have the distance to work with! However if you walk the trail on their property there are opportunities to get closer to them if you wanted to.
The gap underneath the fence is fully blocked off now so you can rest assured your dog can roam safely without escaping into the alpaca area.
The property is well maintained and the forest trail is a nice treat to take your dog for walk on a long line. I think it took us 15 minutes to explore the trail. We encountered a loose chicken that had escaped at the end so I would definitely recommend a long line if your dog has a strong prey drive or poor recall! I let her observe it calmly from a distance before it made its way back under the gate to join the others :)
One thing to note is that the snow has melted, exposing a lot of alpaca poop! My dog definitely had a couple nibbles lol but left it alone for the most part. It didn’t bother me but may be something to consider for other dogs that don’t have a solid leave it command.
Overall, we had a great time and I left with a muddy, happy dog who had all their needs met! The best! We’ll be back for sure. Thanks for sharing your wonderful property, Lisa!!

Are fully fenced dog parks safe?
While public dog parks have a number of safety issues, such as aggressive dogs, inattentive owners, disease transmission and general cleanliness, Sniffspot dog parks are much safer than public dog parks. What are the requirements to bring my dog to a Sniffspot fully fenced dog park?
We require that all dogs have basic vaccinations or equivalent titers. We do not permit use by pregnant dogs and we do not permit dogs with a bite history. We require that guests sign our waiver and agree to follow our safety rules, such as staying within the designated off-leash areas. Each park location also has their own set of rules that guests need to follow, such as limiting excessive barking.
Will there be other dogs at the Sniffspot fully fenced dog park at the same time as me?
Sniffspot only allows one booking at a time and any host dogs are required to be kept away from the spot during visits. We also enforce 30 min time buffers between bookings.
