All amenities are available if guests inquire about prior to arrival. I will leave them at the access point, and kindly ask to be placed back after visits. Large field with plenty of space to run around to get your pups energy out. We allow farmers to farm this field during the seasons, so during certain times, this location may be closed to avoid crops being destroyed, or pets to be exposed to any potential pesticides ( please note that our farmers do not use typical pesticides due to our horses being in close proximity) We have a wooded area that is able to be accessed if acquired about prior to visits, and if able to accommodate at the time as the woods are closer to our horse pastures, and home, so it will have to be prearranged. The woods have a trail that is quite extensive, but please keep in mind during warmer months that it is likely you can encounter snakes in that area. We also have swamp areas in the woods, which is nice to watch the birds and turtles in their natural habitats. The field is flat landscape, and is perfect to throw frisbees, tennis balls, etc with your dog. If pet or guest needs any additional assistance please contact me, and i will do my best to assist you further. As always, enjoy your visit. OFF-Leash Park Rules and Regulations 1. Dog handlers are responsible for the actions of their dog(s) and must remain in fenced area with their dog in view at all times. 2. Users of this park assume all risks of injury to themselves and their dog(s). Enter at your own rI8k. The City of Washington will not be responsible for injury to any human or dogs. 3. Children under 12 are not permitted in the off-leash area. Those between ages 12-16 must be with an adult. 4. Maximum 2 dogs per handler. 5. Dog vaccinations must be current with current rabies tag visible at all times. Dog 1.D. tags must also be visible. 6. Dogs must be on leash when entering and leaving MAIN gate. 7. Choke collars, prong (pinch) and spike collars are prohibited. 8. Dogs in heat and dogs with contagious conditions are prohibited. Aggressive dogs are not permitted on dog perk premises. 10. Dogs must be removed at first sign of aggression. 11. All dog handlers must clean up dog waste, sealing it in plastic bags and disposing in “poop” receptacles provided. 12. Upon the request of a Police Officer or Animal Control Officer, dog handlers must provide proof of rabies shot and person's ID. 13. No food, smoking, bare feet or alcoholic beverages allowed on dog perk premises. Anyone violating these rules is subject to expulsion from the Park and can be banned from future use by Animal Control or the Washington Police Department.

RULES FOR USE OF DOWN EAST DOG PARK The Down East Dog Park was established to provide a safe, clean area to which people may bring their well-behaved, healthy dogs to exercise and play off leash without bothering others. 1. Use of the Down East Dog Park is limited to dog owners who have registered their dogs and paid the required user fees with New Bern Parks and Recreation. 2. Children under the age of 8 are not allowed in the dog park. Children under the age of 12 must be under close supervision of an adult while within the park. 3. Dog owners must accept full responsibility for themselves and their dogs as well as any children or guests they may bring into the park. 4. Dogs, which are 25 lbs. and over, must use the large dog area only. Dogs 25 lbs. and under, as well as dogs under 6 months old, may use either area, but do so at their own risk of injury to their dogs or self. 5. Owners must be present and physically able to control their dogs at all times within the park. No more than two dogs at a time per owner are allowed in the park. Owners must not leave their dog(s) unattended or out of sight. 6. Owners are legally responsible for any damage, injury, or illness their dog(s) may cause to themselves, other dogs, other people or themselves. 7. Each dog using the dog park must be vaccinated against rabies and be healthy (have no contagious diseases) and parasite-free. While using the park, each dog must wear a collar with identification and a Down East Dog Park tag (provided during registration). 8. Each dog’s owner must carry a leash for each of his or her dogs at all times within the dog park. 9. Dogs are not allowed to wear pronged or spiked collars within the dog park. 10. A dog showing aggression toward people or other animals must be removed from the dog park immediately by its owner. (If you feel that you or your dog is in danger, leave the park, report the situation to Parks & Recreation personnel, and come back another day.) 11. Dogs in heat are not allowed inside the park. 12. Wolves and wolf hybrids are not allowed inside the park. 13. Owners must clean up after their dogs, using waste disposal bags and trash cans provided for this purpose. 14. Owners must prevent dogs from digging and must immediately fill holes. 15. Potable water will be provided, but owners must supply water receptacles for their dogs. 16. Glass containers are not allowed in the park. Users and guests must not throw litter or cigarette butts on the grounds. 17. Drugs and Alcohol are prohibited in the park. 18. Use of the park is limited to park hours, from 7 a.m. until sunset or during Glenburnie Park hours, as posted. 19. In the event of an emergency, please call 9-1-1. 20. For questions, please call New Bern Parks & Recreation at 252-626-2901. 21. New Bern Parks and Recreation reserves the right to change these rules and regulations at any time.

Greenville Off Lease Dog Area Dog Park Rules and Regulations 1. Hours of operation: 7:00 AM until dusk. 2. User assumes all risk of injury to themselves or their dog(s). However dog owners are responsible and liable for the actions of their dog(s). 3. No animals other than dogs may be brought into the fenced area. 4. Dogs shall have a collar with ID, display dog license and rabies vaccination at all times while in the park. 5. All dogs must be leashed until safely inside and returned to a leash prior to exiting. Owners must have 1 leash per dog at all times. 6. Dog owners must remain in the fenced area while their dog(s) are using the dog park. Owners must be in view of their dog(s) with voice control at all times. 7. Dog owners must be age 18 or older to be allowed in dog park area unsupervised. Children accompanying dog owners must be strictly supervised by an adult and be at least 12 years old to be allowed inside. Spectators should remain outside the fenced area. 8. Aggressive dogs and female dogs in heat are not allowed. Owners must immediately leash and remove dogs from the dog part at the first sign of aggressive, hostile, or combative behavior. Any dog found to have bitten another dog and/or person will lose all dog park privileges. 9. All pet owners are required to pick up their dog waste and dispose of it in the containers provided. 10. North Carolina State Law requires that all dog bites be reported to the Animal Protective Services at 252-329-4387. In addition, owners are required to assist in the investigation of incidents of aggression or biting by providing appropriate identification and information to the Police, Recreation & Parks Department officials, and to other dog owners who are involved with the incident under investigation. Failure to provide assistance and identification as requested will result in immediate revocation of all dog park privileges. Owners are liable for any injury or damage caused by their dog and are fully responsible for their dog's actions.
