**Winter Update! If it has been below freezing for an extended period of time we will have a partially iced pond. It is NOT safe to have dogs running on the ice. Please message for current pond status and plan accordingly. A recall is needed when ice is present on the pond** Enjoy a fully fenced (4 foot wire mesh livestock style fencing) run through mowed grass, NEW tall natural meadow (we are “rewilding” a portion of our yard to native plants), two short wooded trails and access to a large pond with dock. Dogs are welcome to swim—bring towels and be prepared for some mud if it’s been raining or you have a pond monster doggy. Woods have wonderful smells, my dogs sometimes find delightful things to roll in. A hose is available for use on warm days and there is a nearby Tractor Supply if your pup needs a spa treatment after their romp. We do have chickens on site and ask you not allow your dog to harass them as you enter and leave (chickens are in a separate fenced area and in a coop/run). My dogs will be in the house—some barking may happen on your arrival but they will not be loose. Wildlife may be encountered (deer, squirrels, crawfish, muskrats, many birds and snapping turtles). **Note: I didn’t want to claim the site as accessible as it is grass and some uneven ground, but feel free to reach out if you need an accommodation to access the spot and we can discuss what is possible** We welcome all. Our property is a mix of 2 open pastures, and trails through the woods. There is a smaller totally fenced in area (former goat enclosure) that’s great for working on recall and scent work. We have 2 houses with yards at the address. Simply follow the driveway past the yards to the Spot behind. When you see the white barn, you’re there! Feel free to roam and play. Off leash is fine as long as your friend has good recall. Our dogs have their own fenced yards up at the houses. Our property borders a riding stable on one side, so you may see horses and riders. On the other side of the property is a shooting range (about a mile away) so if your pooch is gun shy be aware you could hear shots.

While the area is only partially fenced, a large ditch to the south, creek to the north, and natural wooded boundaries define the edges of the parcel. (PLEASE READ THOROUGHLY) *we may have limited availability until the end of hunting season.* THIS IS AN ACTIVE FARM. YOU MAY SEE FARM EQUIPMENT NEAR THE BARN, ETC. Come enjoy our little paradise! Sugar Creek runs through the back of our property. You are welcome to enjoy it, just be careful while walking the trails. We do have chickens and turkeys on the front of the property. PLEASE leash your dogs until you are on the trail. It’s also very important to leave on time and not show up early. We have multiple guests a day and we need to let our dogs out as well during the day. If you do arrive early, please sit on the 1/4 mile driveway until your allotted time. If you are late, just send us a message if you would like to stay after your scheduled time to make up for being late. We may be out with our dogs doing chores in between guests. We want to continue to host for SniffSpot but we are having issues with people going over allotted time, allowing their dogs to chase our animals, and wandering around spots that are not for guests. All we ask is that guests are respectful of our animals and our property. Our house is not part of the SniffSpot. Please do not bring your dogs up to the front of our house. Our dogs are inside and will see you & start barking. There’s plenty of land to explore!
