55A great Sniffspot with fabulous hosts and a beautiful piece of property! We always enjoy, and get a great workout, on the wooded trails which are quite hilly. Be sure to wear boots this time of year as some areas are muddy. There is also a tree down from the last wind storm and it blocks one of the steepest trails - not a problem though as there are plenty of other trails and it gave me an excuse not to hike the hardest one! My reactive dog absolutely loves this Sniffspot and I feel comfortable knowing we won’t run into others. Thanks John and Stephanie for providing such a wonderful experience. Bonnie B.

55Another great experience at Spring Acres! My dog loves this place and we come often. Stephanie and John are always making improvements too. For example, they’ve recently patched some muddy spots with gravel, put in a new parking spot on the back entrance, and have added another waste receptacle. Highly recommended!!Bonnie B.

Most of the trails are marked with signs and lined with logs to make them easier to follow. Would not recommend the trails for someone with bad knees. They aren't flat. And some areas are pretty muddy at this point. Our dog loves it though and it is a joy to see him be so happy and to be able to run off leash and explore like a dog should. He also loves the creek which is not very deep and has a little bit of a current. We all enjoyed the goats, chickens and cows! Beautiful property, very tranquil. Are dog parks good for dogs?
It is important for dogs to have off leash exercise to sniff and run. But the free and open nature of public dog parks has drawbacks. There could be aggressive dogs, disease transmission and cleanliness issues. For this reason, many dog behaviorists discourage visiting public dog parks and recommend Sniffspot's private dog parks. Sniffspot private dog parks only allow one guest to book at a time and are not open to the public, which solves many of these issues.
Are dog parks safe?
While public dog parks have a number of safety issues, such as aggressive dogs, disease transmission and general cleanliness, Sniffspot dog parks much safer than public dog parks. With Sniffspot all bookings are private for just you and dogs you bring with you and we require all dogs to be vaccinated (or have equivalent titers). How do I know if a dog park works for my dog?
