The Nature Nook Dog Retreat - Shelby Township

Almost a half an acre completely fenced-in yard (to the ground so even 5-lb dogs can’t escape) in a quiet neighborhood near 23 and Mound. Grass is kept short and natural. Never any poisonous pesticides or fertilizer used. All Natural! Seating and doggie pool available (request pool is emptied before leaving and not filled more than half or you can’t tip over to empty). No dogs in surrounding yards. Great for big and small dogs! Lots of trees and shrubbery to give you a private oasis. Please close the gate when leaving. Note: I bought my house with a large after one of my dogs was attacked at a dog park causing 2 surgeries and very expensive vet bills. Enjoy my yard with piece of mind.

Welcome to our “back 40,” featuring an evergreen alcove, a small wooded walking path, lots of room to run, and tons of sticks to play with. For the humans we have a picnic table and two lounge chairs for relaxation. Special note for June and July: it’s mulberry season, and boy have we got ‘em (fortunately they are not toxic to dogs). Hello! I have a nice fenced in yard for your reactive pups to play in! Hose for water and doggie bags provided. Side entrance for easy entry. I had a reactive pup who crossed to doggy heaven in March, so I know how stressful it can be and how limiting play time can get if you don't have your own yard! There are occasional squirrels running around, and there are occasional dogs in the neighborhood who bark but there is absolutely no risk of visible contact. There is also no one living directly next to me in the yard on the other side of the chain fence.
