55Such a wonderful spot! The land is well maintained and there is a hiking trail. Safe and secure for dogs and humans alike. We so enjoyed our time. I live in Austin but it’s worth the drive and will be back. Tiffany D.

55Great spot, be careful with the spike fence. Written directions are easy to follow - our dog was worn out after all the running around! We’ll definitely be backMaria X.

55I took some time off work to recharge and Monica’s place was at the top of my “to-do list”. Monica has made some fantastic updates to the property since our last visit! The woods were so much fun to explore. It’s like our own private hiking spot! Worth the 1 hour drive from North Austin. Lauren R.

55We loved Oscars Acres and so did our pups! There was a lot of room for them to run around in the open field. Careful with going in the area with the pond because of some steep inclines. Our pups were a bit too excited and we had to go grab them but other than that, we will definitely be making the hour drive back! Thank you for having such a safe and open space for our dogs to run free!Sabrina M.

55Great spot. Quiet, serene, little trails back in the woods, meadows, and a small pond to swim in. What more could you (and your dogs) ask for. Directions not hard to follow. Enjoyed my time. Cara C.

55Loved this spot, it was super relaxing and felt like a nice getaway. My dogs loved the pond, nature and all the smells. Though it is hot in TX right now there was plenty of shade and a nice breeze when I went in the morning. Just made another booking to go again in a couple of weeks. Highly recommend!Ashley B.

55Oscar’s acres was perfect for our weekend play date. My two pups loved being apple to run around and sniff the land. Water and trash is on site to pick up after and there was some shade under the trees where the could rest for a bit. Loved it highly recommend Ari L.

55This Sniffspot was magical for our pups! It is the perfect combination of open field to play fetch, and wooded forest to hike through and practice recall! We couldn’t keep our dogs out of the pond so they definitely got dirty, so make sure to pack a towel 😊
We will definitely be coming back here again! Tylynn B.

55The second I released my lab mix she sprinted across the field and chased some deer over the fence. I had my puggle on a 30ft leash since he’s an escape artist with no recall but he enjoyed alllll the sniffs and the wide open field. So appreciative that Monica opens this space to be shared with dogs that have a hard time in public places but deserve to run free ❤️Tesha B.

55Great spot! Has shade, short grass, tall grass, dirt, and woods. Nice spot to sit and fresh water laid out. My dogs loved it, and the fencing was enough for them. The following did not impact us but could for some others: the entrance is open (no gate) but was far away from the good stuff; gunshots in the distance if your dog spooks easily but again far off so not a big deal; some barbed wire pieces in the woods by the fence but my dogs ignored it. 55This spot is not fully fenced but is still really good for dogs that have issues with other animals/people if they have a good recall, because there aren't nearby neighbors or neighbor pets that I ever see. I have seen deer many times and I've been many times and saw cows one time, but they seemed to be loose and they're not normally there, so do be aware of your surroundings if your dog is very prey driven/not off leash trained well enough that you could lose them to a deer chase or similar. The owner of the property is super nice and offered to refund me the one time I saw the cows, even though it wasn't her fault (I've been so many times before and have never even seen/heard them). It's a beautiful property and it'll be interesting to see how it changes because it seems like she's making some landscape changes too it as well.Rachel H.

FAQ about our Smithville dog fields
Are dog fields safe?
If you are looking for an adventure, but also looking for safety, Sniffspot dog fields are a great option. While public dog parks have a number of safety issues, such as aggressive dogs, distracted dog owners, disease transmission and general cleanliness, Sniffspot dog parks are much safer than public dog parks. With Sniffspot all bookings are private space for just you and doggy friends you bring with you and we require all dogs to be vaccinated (or have equivalent titers). Especially for training, privacy is ideal. Contrary to public dog parks, all Sniffspot locations are vetted and reviewed by guests so you can find the perfect place for you and your dog for off leash exercise or outdoor training. 93% of reviews on Sniffspot visits are 5 stars, while public dog parks often do not even have verified reviews. All payment is done securely online by credit card in a few simple clicks.
All park rental information is available online. Start by filtering parks by fencing, size and distractions, to find a private spot that works for your dog. If your dog has poor recall, you can visit one of our secure fields. If your dog is reactive to other dogs, you can visit one of our dog fields where there are no dogs audible or visible nearby. You can review the details of the listing to make sure it works as your desired activity space, for example, safe dog exercise, dog training, a stress-free adventure with your furry friend or even a puppy event. You can even check the park amenities chart for amenities such as indoor training facilities, agility field, synthetic turf, exercise balls or field parking availability in advance. If inclement weather is an issue or poor field conditions, you can reschedule your visit up to 2 hours in advance.
What are the requirements to bring my dog to a Sniffspot dog field?
We require that all four-legged friends have basic vaccinations or equivalent titers. We do not allow dogs with a bite history. We require that guests sign our waiver and agree to follow our safety rules. Make sure to check host rules before visiting to ensure, for instance, that you are following allowable sports activities rules and any special events rules.
Will there be other dogs at the Sniffspot field at the same time as me?
No. Facility rentals are for private play time and any host dogs are required to be kept away from the area during visits, so this is perfect for a private adventure for you and your doggie friends, and perhaps a human friend. Hosts understand that many guests have dogs in training and are nervous owners. So when you book a Sniffspot dog field you have the entire private spot to yourself. We also enforce 30 min time buffers between time slots so you will not run into other guest dogs or a previous person when coming or leaving in the field parking area. Some hosts may have multiple fields, but there is always a buffer between fields.
How much do Sniffspot fields cost?
Dog fields in the Smithville area range from $4.0 and $4.0. The least expensive dog field is Finn Hill hood. The most expensive dog field is Finn Hill hood. Each host sets their own price, so you can check the price on the specific Sniffspot dog park listing.
