Colohatchee Dog Park
All dogs must be leashed until safely inside the Dog Park and
returned to a leash prior to exiting the Dog Park. Owners/
handlers must have one (1) leash per dog at all times.
2. Dog owners/handlers must remain in the fenced area while their
dogs are using the Dog Park. Owners/handlers must be in view
of their dogs with voice control at all times.
3. There are separately designated areas of the park for dogs of
different sizes. All dog owners/handlers shall only place their
dogs in the areas set aside for dogs their size.
4. No communal dog water bowls may be used or left in the park.
5. Dog pools are prohibited.
6. Choke, spike, pinch, prong collars are not allowed inside the Dog",Park.,"7. Aggressive dogs and female dogs in heat are not allowed inside
the Dog Park. Owners/handlers must immediately leash and
remove dogs from the Dog Park at the first sign of aggression,
hostility, or combative behavior.
8. Keep the park clean and sanitary. All dog waste must be
disposed of immediately and completely by placing the waste in
the proper container.
9. Each adult may have a maximum of three (3) dogs at a time
inside the Dog Park.
10. Puppies less than four (4) months old are not permitted inside
the Dog Park.
11. Owners/handlers are, at all times, solely responsible and liable
for any injury or damage caused by their dogs and is fully
responsible for their dogs’ actions. Never leave your dog(s)
unattended. If your dog inflicts an injury, you must give your
name and telephone number to the other dog owner/handler
before leaving.
12. No digging. If your dog digs within the Dog Park, you must notify
City Staff immediately to ensure the area is restored to a safe",condition.,"13. All children under the age of 13 must be accompanied and
supervised by an adult.
14. No food, treats, alcoholic beverages (soft drinks and water are
allowed), strollers, bicycles, or children’s toys are allowed in the
dog park.
15. The off-leash dog area is for dogs, their handlers, and those
accompanying them. No other use is allowed. These areas are
designated for recreational canine activities. It is not intended
for any other purpose.
16. No professional or commercial training is allowed inside the Dog
Park except for City-sponsored events.
17. All dogs and owners/handlers use the Dog Park at their own risk.
Owners/handlers must agree to and formally execute the City’s
“Acceptance of Risk and Release of Liability and Waiver Form”
prior to use of the Dog Park.
18. Dog owners/handlers must never use their gate pass to allow
another dog owner/handler into the Dog Park. Failure to abide
by this rule will result in loss of Dog Park privileges. No refunds
will be given. (This policy will be strictly enforced.)
19. Staff have the authority to close the park or sections of the park
for any reason including maintenance, mowing, weather related
problems, special events, or for the public’s safety and/or",health.,"20. Dog owners/handlers who fail to abide by rules and regulations
are subject to loss of Dog Park privileges.
Note: City staff have the authority to enforce posted rules, dogs and/
or their owners who violate these rules are subject to removal from
the park and possible suspension or cancellation of membership. The
City of Wilton Manors reserves the right to refuse entry into
Colohatchee Park for the reasons of health, safety, and prior
offenses or for the comfort of all patrons and/or their pets.
