My dogs and I had a lovely time today! The location was easy to find and directions to get down to the water were clear. After walking down some stairs there was a lovely oasis for the dogs to run. My puggle stayed on a 30ft leash since he has no recall and will run away but my lab mix ran to her heart’s content. There was a large area to the left that looked like a public space and we saw people in the far distance so we stayed close to the property. There was plenty of space for the dogs to run and explore. My lab went for a swim and the water was clear and did not smell. It was serene and peaceful. I’d definitely recommend! Your dog should have strong recall if you want them off leash since there is no fence but dogs on a long leash will have a lot of fun too!

Wonderful spot to let your dogs dip their toes in the water! So quiet and peaceful with lots of open space for them to run. Some spots are a little steep and require your dog to know how to swim but there are also more shallow areas for them to walk into. We will definitely be coming back- our dogs loved the water!

A very cute spot! My girls had tons of fun splashing, running and rolling in deer poop ;). There was a man sitting down there when we arrived, so we went and hung out to the far right until he left after about ten minutes. He didn’t bother us but we were possibly on someone else’s property for a bit. The pro of this is that they were able to get into the water there as it was more sloped, and the con was the deer skeleton that one of my dogs would not leave alone. I kept them on a long lead anyways because they are terriers with selective hearing, so it was fine. We did see a cat and a (live) deer as well out there. All in all, they had a blast and it was really beautiful and peaceful.

Loved our time at this magical river front sniff spot! My lil water babies loved swimming and running in the long stretch of mostly flat grass. The bank does have some rocks and roots from the beautiful trees but they managed to get out of the water easily. I jumped in and swam around with them as well! Looked like some harmless algae on some of the rocks around the bank, not the gloppy, nasty blue-green toxic algae. Just my opinion, I’m no scientist! I brought fresh water for my dogs to drink just in case! The area is nice and shaded. Stairs were quite steep to get to the river area so keep in mind for dogs with mobility issues. Shelby was so accommodating and helpful. Can’t wait to go back!

Beautiful shady spot by the water with a big enough area to get the zoomies out. He had a great time sniffing along the water line but didn’t get in. We brought our paddle board though and paddled on the water for a little while until it started to rain. Fortunately a canopy was provided! Thank you! We had a great time.

My dogs loved their time this morning! This Spot along the water is nice, peaceful, and private. Well maintained, with plenty of room to run and play fetch or swim. There are some stairs to access the area, but they are sturdy with a railing so not at all an issue for us or the pups- just something for others to be aware of. We will definitely return!
