This was the perfect spot! Plenty of space to run around and explore. The shallow water was great for keeping my dog cool and busy in the heat. Maybe beware of the dip to the water in the first paddock as it’s quite a steep drop off and some dogs may struggle getting up and down. We will definitely be back!

Our two pups had an absolute blast they had a big play and got to practice recall with our new pup as it was her first time off lead since we got her 3 weeks ago and she was in her element. They have poop bags available and a bin to discard of your dogs poop which is great. Highly recommend this place we will definitely be back.

Great spot! Perfect for my nervous/anxious dog to just let loose and have fun off leash! There were two dogs in the property briefly welcoming us as you drive in but that was not a problem for us at all (as my dog doesn’t have any issues with other dogs) and they were moved inside pretty quick. My dog also found a gap in the fence big enough to slip through (we were warned) but again not an issue for us as I was able to easily get him back. My dog loved it and we will definitely come back to this spot!

Peppa and I love this place, but for me, it is disappointing to see today the amount of dog poop left out in the field. I mean frikken mountain's of the stuff! Gummon people, we're lucky to have such a spot for our fur babies to run freely. Lets not lose it because some people are too lazy to clean up after their babies. 😔

Had a great time and my 2 dogs loved it. Spent the hour romping around the fields and are now completely knackered! We will be back as it was a great way for us to practice off lead recall with them in a safe environment!

Such a great Sniffspot, they supply doggy poo bags and a hose to fill up the paddle pool. My dog has so much fun. I did notice that even though they supply the bags some people haven’t been cleaning up their dog poo’s, please pick up after your dog and respect the Sniffspot it’s really not that hard, there is even a bin to put the bags in at the gate! ☺️

The dogs love their time at the farm. Even though it was hot, there was lots of shade and the creek cooled them down. There is a hose to wash them off before they get into the car. Other people need to be mindful and pick up their dogs poo, otherwise it was great. I’ll definitely be coming back!

This is such a great spot. The paddocks are well maintained and the grass is short so we could run around with our dog (on a long line) and not worry about where we were standing. It was so quiet despite being not far from suburban Auckland, perfect for our rescue collie who is really sensitive to sounds and traffic.

Love how there is no one else around. Lots of pinecones to toss to the dogs. Good area for big dogs. Thanks for having us. Was nice to sit on the chairs and chill out.

Are dog parks good for dogs?

It is important for dogs to have off leash exercise to sniff and run. But the free and open nature of public dog parks has drawbacks. There could be aggressive dogs, disease transmission and cleanliness issues. For this reason, many dog behaviorists discourage visiting public dog parks and recommend Sniffspot's private dog parks. Sniffspot private dog parks only allow one guest to book at a time and are not open to the public, which solves many of these issues.

Are dog parks safe?

While public dog parks have a number of safety issues, such as aggressive dogs, disease transmission and general cleanliness, Sniffspot dog parks much safer than public dog parks.
