Welcome to the Blue House Play Park! Easy to find and convenient entrance to the backyard right in front of the driveway. Feel free to park on the drive or in front of the house if parking is available, or anywhere you see fit in the cul-de-sac. You will have uninterrupted time with your pup(s) in my large fenced-in backyard. I have one doggo but won't be outside during your booked time. Feel free to use the hose for water and the trash can to dispose of waste. I have a container of dog toys available for use, as well as added agility equipment for those who wish to do a little training. Feel free to use the hose/wash area to rinse off your dogs paws after play, no need to add the extra for that. The extra is if you want all the other stuff included for a more in depth bathing. The grass in the yard is cut every two weeks during the summer leading into the fall months. There may be some divots/holes in the yard so please watch your footing.

As a reminder, we require all guests to clean up before they leave. If you don’t want to clean up, we offer an extra called “Poop Patrol”, you can add this on to your visit and we will clean up for you. If we continue to have issues with poop not getting cleaned up, we will need to increase the price of our spot to compensate us for the additional time we have to spend cleaning between visits. We don’t want to have to do this, so please be respectful and clean up the 💩 📍I believe the neighbors behind us got a new dog and they like to bark. Our fences do not touch, there is probably 10 feet of distance between our fences so there are no worries about fighting through the fence, but you may hear barking sometimes. They will eventually bring the dog in when the barking becomes too much 📍We laid some hay in and around the play area to help with the mud and protect the grass. 📍 We replaced the blue picnic table that was under the canopy with a couch and chair. We still have the pink picnic table with the umbrella. 🐕🦮🐕‍🦺 Bringing 3 or more dogs? Message us for a discount prior to booking (let us know how many dogs in your message). ** The pool is not available to guests at this time. ** 🎉 Events / parties welcome 🎉 Large open, fenced-in backyard in a quiet neighborhood. There is lots of space for your dog(s) to run, and ample room to play fetch. There is plenty of outdoor seating to relax while you watch your dog(s) play and explore. The back right corner of the yard has a play area with a playhouse, caterpillar tunnel, tire tunnel, climbing cube, climbing dome, car bed, the biggest tire you’ve ever seen, and hammock. We also have a bunch of dog toys, including several herding balls of various sizes. Part of our yard is shady and part is sunny. You get the best of both worlds. The pool is completely fenced off from the rest off the yard. You don’t have to worry about your dog(s) accidentally falling in. Our yard is handicap accessible. There are no stairs to climb. The entrance to the backyard is a flat grassy area. The gate leading to the back yard is wide enough for a wheelchair or power chair. The yard has a slight incline, but there are no major obstacles that would prevent a wheelchair from moving around. We are located in Sykesville, MD which is about 30 mins from Baltimore and Columbia. 15 minutes from Owings Mills, Ellicott City, and Westminster.

Upon request I can provide a dog wading pool, sprinkler, and/or a portable agility kit. Children under 8 years of age are strongly discouraged from being in the dog park. 4. Owners/handlers must maintain control of their dog(s) and are responsible for damage or injury inflicted by their dog(s). Owners must stop their dog(s) from digging holes and immediately fill any holes dug. 5. Owners/handlers must remain inside, with leash, within view and voice control of their dog(s) at all times. Pinch collars are not permitted. Dogs must be leashed before leaving the dog park. 6. Owners of unaltered dogs (not spayed or neutered) should disclose this to the other owners present. Dogs that are in heat are not permitted. 7. Sick, injured or dogs with fresh wounds are not permitted. 8. Dogs showing aggressiveness towards people or other dogs must be immediately leashed and removed from the dog park. Excessive barking or other noise should be humanely stopped by the owner. 9. No more than two dogs per owner/handler are allowed in the dog park at once. 10. Puppies must be at least 4 months old with current vaccinations. 11. Owners must clean up and properly dispose of feces and any trash/destroyed toys deposited by their dog(s). 12. No smoking or eating in the dog park. No glass containers are permitted. 13. Violators of these rules are subject to removal from the facility, suspension or revocation of their dog park permit, and issuance of municipal infractions.

The eight local Dog Parks are county-sanctioned areas within their respective County parks. Please be sure to abide by the following rules and regulations to have a safe and rewarding experience at the Arlington County Dog Parks. Please note that pets are not allowed on designated athletic fields at any time. All animal bites should be reported immediately to the Department of Animal Control located at the Animal Welfare League of Arlington at 703-931-9241 or 2650 South Arlington Mill Dr. All Dogs in Arlington County • All dogs must be leashed unless they are in a dog park or on private property and under control. • Guardians are responsible for picking up their the picking up their dog waste and disposing of it properly. • Violations of the leash law, pooper-scooper law and running-at-large law can result in a summons to appear in court and a fine of $100. • Guardians/handlers are legally responsible for their dog and any injury caused by them. • It is unlawful for any person who owns, possesses or harbors a dog to permit that dog to create a frequent or continued noise disturbance across a real property boundary or within a nearby dwelling unit. (County Code) • All dogs must be licensed and vaccinated. • Guardians/handlers must always be in possession of their dog’s leash. Additional Rules for Dogs in County Dog Parks • Dogs less than four months old are not permitted in a dog park. • Female dogs in heat are not allowed in a dog park at any time. • No food or alcohol is allowed within the boundaries of a dog park. • Dogs must be removed at the first sign of aggression. Aggressive dogs shall not be permitted within any designated off-leash dog parks. An “aggressive dog” is defined as a dog that poses a threat to humans or other animals. • A handler/guardian may bring in no more than three dogs at a time. • Professional dog trainers may not use a dog park to conduct business, unless sponsored by Arlington County. • Guardians/handlers must always remain with their dog and be in view of their dog. • Guardians/handlers, prior to leaving a dog park, must fill holes dug by their dog. • Dog grooming is not allowed in any dog park, unless it is part of an Arlington County sponsored program.

My two dogs were over thrilled to have a spacious yard to run around to their hearts content and all sorts of new smells to explore. It was exactly what my dogs needed to get that extra energy out!! We absolutely LOVED this Sniffspot! There is so much to do and so much to explore. My pup had the best time sprinting after balls and sniffing around the shed and fence. James had nice little touches, including a fresh water dish, extra waste bags, toys, and had even set out an umbrella for me since it was overcast. James spot is always impeccable. With fresh water and the option of a ball pit, our puppy had the time of her life. There is a beautiful course set up for your dog to run and the fencing is also secure! The space is clean and welcoming.

Big, clean, fully fenced yard . The only thing I would mention just incase you have a dog like mine who can be unpredictable is that the neighbor behind this house , there little girl kept popping her head over the fence , my dog has never attacked a child but is always on high alert and has jumped fences and I was worried he would react because she was getting his attention so I leashed him to be on the safe side , my other dog was completely fine . I did ask her not to pop her head over anymore and she didn’t .

Our pup really enjoyed this yard and the tennis ball pool add-on! Easy to find and access. We didn’t hear or see the neighbor’s dog until we were leaving the property but we knew our dog wouldn’t have minded either way. There was some poop that hadn’t been picked up in the yard but overall great experience!
