55A member of our NH Dog Walking Club commented on a post for Snifspot about her visit, all GOOD things to say. just what I was looking for and SO excited to find a location in Allenstown 15 min from home. I noted the 5 star rating and read many of the over 100 glowing reviews. Several inches of snow this am, my dog was so excited to play in it, decided it was a good day to try Bear Brook Canine Camp. I appreciated all the information Melodie provided on Sniffspot and it was easy to reserve our time. After booking she provided all the information we needed regarding address, arrival, where to park, where to enter the area. Melodie met us for our first visit, showed us where to enter the yard and was sure to point out any obstacles like stairs covered with snow as we entered the yard. She had a coffee/hot chocolate station with snacks, clean water bowl for Jethro and a very large bottle of water. The hot drinks were definitely appreciated especially today and I really needed a snack after an hour playing in the snow! She had even left a pair of spikes for my boots in case I did not have any but I had brought my own, again very thoughtful. Everything was covered in snow :-) we were the first to make tracks!! Since it was our first visit it was an adventure to find our way around. It is like a doggie paradise ! It's hard to imagine anything else they could want. I had brought a soccer ball and a smaller squeaky ball, both favorites to make sure he got enough running. LOTS of space for kicking and throwing the balls. I liked how there were different activity sections with fun stuff for exploring, section of big rocks to climb on and do parkour, a section with trees (and shade in summer) and a path through, opportunity to introduce to new objects, big flower boxes and LOTS of places for sniffing, shaded human sitting area, Kuranda bed for the pooch to take a rest and a swing set. As we tromped through the snow I kept discovering places in the yard we hadn't been. We used the agility jumps and hoop, with a bit of direction and Treats! What a great space to do recall training or reinforcement, it is a long distance from corner to corner and the opportunity to do training with obstacles between you using only voice recall without actually seeing you. Jethro is a 50 lb Jack Russell Terrier, who knows what he is mixed with? but he needs a LOT of activity and attention. He goes to Doggie Day Care to get tired out :) but to have a BIG safe place all to ourselves to play, lots of bonding, do some training is just priceless. We will definitely be visiting Bear Brook Canine Camp again. Thank you Melodie for providing such a great Sniffspot location, can see much thought went into creating this space for the dogs and their owners plus thoughtful amenities. Definitely 5++ star. We had a such great time and Jethro was sleeping on the couch within minutes of getting home!! I'm getting ready to join him. Mission accomplished!! Cynthia T.

55Just like during warmer months, Melodie's spot is amazing. My pup doesn't like it quite as much as me as she's not a fan of the snow. :)
Melodie's signage, supplies and thoughtful treats are such a nice touch. Vickie B.

55My dog and I met a friend with her dog who needs a fenced area here and it was perfect. Plenty of space to explore, sniff, run and play, dog toys for extra fun, agility equipment and numerous chairs around for human relaxation in warmer seasons. There were thoughtful touches like a dog bowl with water, towels for wet dogs, warm human clothes, snacks and coffee that were much appreciated.Annie K.
