55We really enjoyed wandering around this place! Nice and big, lots of trees, water available (bring your own bowl)… pooch had fun. We did bring a ball in case, but didn’t end up using it. There was plenty to explore walking around, and there were just too many holes to feel safe about him charging after the ball… I would really worry anout him breaking an ankle/hurting himself. There's a Sniffspot sign at the driveway entrance, one at the gate to the field and a sign by the water spigot, all very helpful when visiting for the first time. The fence was secure in all places and tall enough I didn't worry about them jumping over. Even the gate was very secure. As others have noted, there are holes in the ground, so we were a little extra careful. The owner's personal dogs were visible when we arrived (behind their own fence), but they were very well behaved and I just waited until they walked away before getting my dogs out of the car (they were only there for a minute). It was a blast! My 3 dogs were smiling from ear to ear. They ran around almost the entire time, got some good exercise and great new smells. The fence was secure in all places and tall enough I didn't worry about them jumping over. Even the gate was very secure. As others have noted, there are holes in the ground, so we were a little extra careful. The owner's personal dogs were visible when we arrived (behind their own fence), but they were very well behaved and I just waited until they walked away before getting my dogs out of the car (they were only there for a minute). For me it was a great location to practice recall in between Klin running around and getting his sniff on. Very easy to locate and understand where to enter. I very much appreciate being able to go somewhere outside of the city with my sometimes overexcitable dog.

Are dog parks good for dogs?
It is important for dogs to have off leash exercise to sniff and run. But the free and open nature of public dog parks has drawbacks. There could be aggressive dogs, disease transmission and cleanliness issues. For this reason, many dog behaviorists discourage visiting public dog parks and recommend Sniffspot's private dog parks. Sniffspot private dog parks only allow one guest to book at a time and are not open to the public, which solves many of these issues.
Are dog parks safe?
