Our home sits on 8 acres with Glade Run Creek running through it! We have two large fields as well as woods in the back of the house. If you need a quiet place for your dog to roam and swim like our dogs do, please enjoy! (My dogs will be put away and we no longer have birds…just a cute photo for reference/view of the property) Note: the field with the golf course and volleyball is not our property. One of our neighbors has a dog that is occasionally out which we have no control over, however, there are 8 acres to explore so if you see his dog outside on his property, it’s easy to avoid an interaction. In the summer, the wire fence around the garden in the front field is electric to keep out deer, won’t hurt your pup but will definitely give them a startling zip if they touch it. If we are home we will sometimes be out on our deck, mostly in the summer, but our house is up on the hill and with 8 acres to explore and the creek running through the center of our property, it’s easy to still have your privacy.

This very private area has a natural dip from the main road that protects puppers from wandering into unknown territory. Two fields of 4 acres each are available for the sniff spot; one field has 7 baby apple trees and the other has a very large, flat area for the dogs to run. Feel free to park in the main house driveway and walk your dogs across the street to enjoy our little haven from city life. You should have both flea and tick medications up-to-date since deer and groundhogs often walk through the fields in the early morning and evening. Please bring your own water for the dogs, though a hose is available in the main house driveway as well. I hope you enjoy!

Take a peaceful walk on the trails and listen to the birds chirp in the trees. Maybe you have an older pup and hikes aren't really their thing anymore... that's okay too! We have a large field that they lounge in the sun with their favorite toy or play some fetch! We are a farm, and we do have animals. So, I ask that you PLEASE keep your dog(s) away from the horse's pasture and the chickens' coops! They will be in their respective areas, and wish to enjoy their time to enjoy the sunshine too! Enter the backyard via either gate and enjoy! Get out of the sun under our deck or the many tall trees bordering the yard. There is a water jug under the deck filled with tap water. I don't provide a bowl for sanitary reasons, but you can bring your own, or in a pinch, use a poop bag! Poop bags by the water jug, and also on the gate by the driveway. Dog waste and other trash may be discarded in the white trash can under the deck or in the large black trash can marked "Trash Only" outside the driveway gate. Under the deck, there is a bin of dog toys for your use - flirt pole, chuck it balls, tugs. If your dog likes to dig, they may dig freely in the dirt under the deck. This is a yard full of great sniffs! Many dogs love to climb up on the stone walls and sniff everything. Running around on the huge deck is also popular! Basic table and chairs for your convenience in the yard and on the deck. Note: The large deck has two bird feeders containing safflower seed. Safflower seed is NOT toxic to dogs. The bird feeders are out of reach of most dogs. Please keep your dog leashed until you are in the backyard. DO NOT ENTER OTHER PEOPLE'S YARDS IN THE NEIGHBORHOOD. **Please use caution in winter as everything will be snowy and slippery. The backyard and deck are not maintained in winter.
