My goldens loved the tall grass. The apples from the trees were also a nice treat and used to play fetch. But do bring water, since there was a water bowl but there wasn’t any water near by.

Huge lot! Amazing space for my pup to run around. He loved frolicking through the longer grass and tracking down his ball. Would definitely come back!

Great, large space for pup to explore!!! Normally, we play ball, but this time, my (medium sized) dog wanted to run through the grass and sniff various places...Owner is very kind and there were plenty of poo bags, a couple water bowls, garbage can and some toys to play with under the apple tree by the white garage to the right and up the hill from the gate.

It was FABULOUS! Pups had a GREAT time, plenty to sniff and plenty of room to run. It was a very quiet neighborhood; pups were very interested in sniffing along the goatpen fence but we never saw it (nor any deer). The gate is a little heavy and has to be lifted off the post concrete. It's not "boutique" but if you're looking for a big but quiet and well-fenced Spot with great sniffing opportunities, it CANNOT BE BEAT. We are signing up now to go again!

FABULOUS again! Beautiful big lot on a beautiful morning. Pups loved romping in the tall grass, bit of a hill was great for launching the Frisbee. The fence is mostly deer fence (6'+), except the gate.

The goat was out in its pen today (our first afternoon visit). Dogs were pretty wound up initially but were fortunately still on-leash; goat watched for a bit then moved out of view. Always a great place to romp!

Made it during the one hour of predicted sun - and rain came down in the sunshine! But it was fine, only a few minutes, pups didn't care and I stood under an apple tree on the hill (since - no lightening!). The goat took about 30m to walk off today so they spent quite a while on leash, but a great chance to train right on the edge of reactivity - and my "edge" as well working with two dogs at a time! LOVE this place, pups can run to their hearts' content. :)

Space was great, especially given that it’s not far from a very busy part of Tacoma. My three working breeds loved it! There is a neighbor who walks past and their dog tends to fixate and pull them towards the space. If you have an easily triggered/reactive dog, just be aware!

My pups had a great time, as did my little girl, playing on the swing (sorry if she wasn't supposed to Clara!) It was clean and contained, very nice play spot.

My dogs had a great time! Be aware, if you have a smaller dog, they can get out under the entry gate. My 26lb dog was able to fit under it.

This is a lovely spot in the city for a dog to stretch out. A smaller dog could possibly get under the gate, but otherwise the fencing seemed secure. It was a great place for training our adopted cattle dog mix and to watch her have fun.

Are dog parks good for dogs?

It is important for dogs to have off leash exercise to sniff and run. But the free and open nature of public dog parks has drawbacks. There could be aggressive dogs, disease transmission and cleanliness issues. For this reason, many dog behaviorists discourage visiting public dog parks and recommend Sniffspot's private dog parks.
