Entering the spot: The gate is to the right of our garage, it just swings open and is held shut by a metal loop. There is no lock. Parking: Our driveway is steep and curves. You can park in the driveway in front of the garage and then back into the space beside our truck to drive down the driveway when leaving, I do not recommend backing down it. I am also happy to open our garage to give you more room if needed. We used to have a F250 and were able to navigate without issues. You can also park in the culdesac in front of our house. Getting Here: We live in a gated community so I will have to call in a pass (this is why I require a 2 hour notice for visits). I will reach out when you confirm your visit to request a first and last name to call in a pass for you to enter. Use YMCA Camp Thunderbird’s address to be sure you go to the main gate of our neighborhood. The gate is manned 24/7. Give them your name and our address and they will provide you with a paper pass. Please note, you will be required to show them your drivers license to enter. Restroom: If you need to use the restroom, please just send me a message so that I know you may be inside. To access it, use the doors closest to the hose in the back yard. There is a half bathroom inside immediately to the left. Please note this amenity is only available if we are home. Lots of sniffs here as five dogs live on property, horses are along back fence and deer are always meandering around. You can park at the gate, in the driveway; no one will be coming or leaving while you are here. Enter through the small gate to the left, next to the column. This property is the front yard. It is very quiet most of the time, but it is a neighborhood, so you might be here when neighbors are doing yard work. Three things: -I have horses (Oliver and Tot - you will know which one is Tot!), your dogs will most probably bark their heads off! Not a problem, they are pretty much bark proof. -I have five dogs. They will never be outside, ever. However, you may hear them barking. I am always here and will quiet them down as best I can. -fire ants. I do not use chemicals on the lawn, so I “spot” treat the mounds. I use a white ant treatment so you can easily identify. Be mindful of them, and be careful of any I may have missed.

Canine Commons Park Rules • Dog Park closes at Sunset daily. • No animals other than dogs may be brought into the fenced area. • All dogs must be leashed until safely inside the dog park and returned to a leash prior to exiting. • Dog owners must remain in the fenced area while their dogs are using the dog park. Current license and rabies tags must be worn on the dog’s collar at all times. • North Caroline State Law requires all dog bites to be reported to CMPD Animal Control Bureau 311. First time here, the pups loved it so much! From the cool creative toys (especially the tug-of-war rope), to the nice fresh water and available poo bags/bin- it was absolutely perfect! We also appreciated the two adirondack chairs under the little tent pop-up for shade when it gets sunny:) They got all the sniffies and ran around with the biggest smiles on their faces. We’ll definitely be back! Only thing we’d keep an eye on is the lowest point of the fence where the opening lock is. We wish it were a foot higher for safety purposes, but on this visit it was just fine. Thank you for hosting such a beautiful, fun, clean space!

John’s yard was fantastic! So peaceful and wonderful if you have reactive dogs. We were there for 1.5 hours and did not hear a single noise the entire time. Even on a misty damp morning, this place was exactly what my dogs needed. We needed to expell a lot of energy and we were successful. They ran. They fetched.
