7 Acre Dog Paradise: Flat, Stream, Hills, Woods.

We own approximately 7 acres in Franklin Park that is mostly flat with some hills. Approximately 3 acres of flat pasture, and 4 acres of woods that circle the property and behind the home. There is a stream that flows through the property which borders the pasture entering the woods and a bridge to cross. Hills naturally fence in the property and will keep your pup safe. There is plenty of room for any dog, kids, and family to play! Feel free to use the hammock and garden table in the woods to relax. Also, your children are welcome to use our Club house/Swing Set, roller coaster, or pretend house at your own risk. Come bring your off lead trained pups to explore the farm before we move the livestock in, 10 acres of fenced pasture lead to the scenic overview of the Ohio River Valley. Follow the trail to the back of the property for your chance to spot some deer, turkey, or rabbits! The pastures are fenced with electric wire that is not in use as of yet (10/10/2024). For your dogs that need a more secure place to roam, our XL fenced back yard spot is perfect for our four legged friends who need some help to follow boundaries. 4ft chain link lines two sides and a wooden fence with gaps separates this yard from the pasture. Escape artist small-medium dogs WILL be able to escape this fence. As we get the farm established we’ll be adding flower fields and a food forest, as well as other furry farm friends! Our beloved Chicken Nugget is always available to pal around with other dog friendly pups if needed!

Our home sits on 8 acres with Glade Run Creek running through it! We have two large fields as well as woods in the back of the house. If you need a quiet place for your dog to roam and swim like our dogs do, please enjoy! (My dogs will be put away and we no longer have birds…just a cute photo for reference/view of the property) Note: the field with the golf course and volleyball is not our property. One of our neighbors has a dog that is occasionally out which we have no control over, however, there are 8 acres to explore so if you see his dog outside on his property, it’s easy to avoid an interaction. In the summer, the wire fence around the garden in the front field is electric to keep out deer, won’t hurt your pup but will definitely give them a startling zip if they touch it. If we are home we will sometimes be out on our deck, mostly in the summer, but our house is up on the hill and with 8 acres to explore and the creek running through the center of our property, it’s easy to still have your privacy.

Located on a quiet road in Harmony Twp/Ambridge (Beaver County, PA), Woofing Woods is about 5.25 acres of my woodland, non-level, unfenced, private property for your pup's enrichment, exercise, and fun! My backyard slopes downhill and becomes wooded. This is where the trail begins! At the bottom you'll find a supply station, and you'll see three main trails to explore. If you explore past the field and cross the stream, the very back of the property levels out and feels very much like a secluded nature park. Please consider whether my spot is a good fit for you and your pup due to the terrain and unfenced aspects of the property. My Sniffspot is also not great for small kids or possibly older joints and bones on pups. If you need or prefer level ground or cement with fencing then we're probably not a great fit! Our boys had so much fun! There is so much space for lots of running around. There is open space as well as trails. It's very private and quiet. Follow the road up the hill, past the residence on the right, and park up beyond the barn before you reach the woods. Host was nice to leave out treats and a bucket of water for the dogs. Will definitely return.

We just had the best time of our lives here! The property is big with lots of places to explore, and has a lot of well maintained trails. It was just what we were looking for: a beautiful forest with walking trails and without distractions, just us. Apollo was so happy running around, sniffing everything and being very curious of every movement and sound, he didn’t want to leave! And you could tell he was very happy. My advice is to book for a couple of hours so you can have plenty of time to explore. Also, Olivia sent us the details to get to the property and it was very easy to find. She was very kind and we are grateful that she shared her beautiful property with us. We will be back for sure.

Felt like being in a state park, except we had it all to ourselves. Nice wide trails over rolling hills with tall trees, and not muddy which was great! Finn had a great time running, and it was nice for me that he didn’t get any burrs in his fur as he romped through the woods. Olivia the host was very kind and responsive and left out a big bucket of water at the trailhead. We will definitely come back!

This was my first visit to this sniff spot and it was really lovely! We booked the day after a full wash-out of a rainy day and the trails were still in good shape. There were some puddles and pooling water but it was not nearly as muddy as I was expecting. I brought 4 dogs for 2 hours and i only found a couple of ticks on them. The host gave great directions to get to the parking area and provided a bucket of water for the dogs. This spot is closer than my other favorite sniff-spots so we'll likely be making it part of our regular rotation and are excited to explore more. The only thing I'd love is an overhead view of the property with the boundaries noted just so I had a better idea of where we can wander (bonus if it had a couple rough trails drawn on to see where things go). Overall, had a great visit!

We took our pup to this wonderful sniff spot on his birthday and he had a blast! The space was huge (obviously) and it was so nice to be able to just let the pup lead us where he wanted to go. The host was super sweet, communicative and very accommodating! I would absolutely come here again, even though it was far from my house. Worth it!

Are dog hiking trails safe?

While public dog parks have a number of safety issues, such as aggressive dogs, inattentive owners, disease transmission and general cleanliness, Sniffspot dog parks are much safer than a city or county park. With a Sniffspot off-leash area all bookings are private for just you and dogs you bring with you and we require all dogs to be vaccinated (or have equivalent titers). All Sniffspot locations are vetted and reviewed by guests so you can find the perfect place for you and your dog. 93% of reviews on Sniffspot visits are 5 stars. Our hiking trails tend to be outside the city, which lends to more privacy, but it is also important to follow typical hiking safety precautions, such as potentially having trail maps.

Sniffspot only allows one booking at a time and any host dogs are required to be kept away from the spot during visits. We also enforce 30 min time buffers between bookings.
