My husband and I have a little peace of heaven here in the Shenandoah Valley! Our goal is to provide a space for all dogs to play, run and sniff away! We have a huge field with a platform/ramps, tug rope, agility poles, stick collection, hidden container with treats and possibly a prize toy! We host many special events for pups as well as birthday parties for your pups! I spent many years volunteering, fostering and ultimately adopting many animals from rescue non-profits over the years. Throughout all of the years I spent in animal rescues, I realized that most dogs don’t get much time outside of the kennels. I also came to understand that many rescue animals have trauma related behaviors and cannot integrate with other dogs. I feel so grateful to be able to provide a space for dogs to be off leash and have the freedom to explore! Also, it is a significant bonding experience for pups and their parents to have this special time together! Our dogs are in a separate fenced area but because I feel this time is for you and your pup(s), I will put my pups in the house so they are not visible to you and your pups. The fence is 4 ft feet and features metal grate between fence posts for added protection and security for your pup. Users will have access to the deck area and screened in porch. Deck has a table you are welcome to eat and sit at. The screened in area features a sectional couch and overhead fan. Please note dogs are not allowed in the screened in area of the porch. Our 11 acre farm is 1/3 mile down an easement off of a quiet road. We have about 2 acres fenced in as a yard for the pups, and also to keep the cows in their pastures. Entrance to the yard is through a gate next to the driveway near the garage. Appointments only please so that we confirm and can put our friendly pups away - unless you would like playtime, and we are sure the dogs get along. We ask that only fully vaccinated and healthy dogs (not recovering or suffering from a transmittable illness) visit our property, as it’s our home.

Welcome to the Hive's Sniffspot! We have just about a half acre of completely fenced in yard for you and your pups to enjoy with grass, trees, lots of great sniffs, toys, and room to run! You and your pupper can play fetch, frisbee, and tug. You can tease your pupper with our flirt pole or maybe you want to just relax on our covered porch, rocking the time away while your BFF explores the yard! We have squirrels to chase, fresh water to drink, a hose to spray your pup down with, a sprinkler and/or pupper pool to frolic in on those hot summer days, and a towel to dry them off with! We even have a huge sandbox for sanctioned digging! The queen of our hive is our 2 year old pibble mix, Sophie, who (on request) can be invited to come out and play with your pupper -- after a proper introduction, of course! Our Sophie loves her yard, and we are so excited to be able to share it with you and your pup! If we are home and you'd like a pitcher of filtered ice water and glasses, just message us and we will be happy to have it waiting for you! We want to make sure that you and your pups feel comfortable and at home!

Our yard, though not enormous, is the perfect spot for your pup to run and get some energy out! It’s lengthy so there’s plenty of room to throw a ball, frisbee or other toys. Our dogs enjoy running in circles and around the trampoline. We have one of the largest lots on the street and the pups love playing back there. It’s fully fenced but please make sure the gate is latched upon entering / exiting. We find our dogs rest under the trampoline for shade when needed. There is a trashcan on the deck should you need to deposit waste or you can use the rake/ bucket system we have and we will deposit it later. There is a water bowl on the deck. During warmer seasons, the hose will be turned on and there will be an auto dog spigot attached. Once your pup learns to drink from this - they won’t stop! There are various toys spread throughout the yard. There are 2 chairs and a table on the back deck available for you to use to sit and watch your pups play. We are backed against a black trail so you’ll sometimes see walkers walking. There’s a pond across the street which is fun to walk with your pups along with a waste station should you choose to use that. One neighbor has a dog and one doesn’t so you will occasionally see a dog outside. Parking - we suggest you park on Destiny and walk down the path to our house. You may enter through the gate which will be easier than coming in through the front.

Therefore, there may be times I’ll have to tell you your requested pool use time is not available even if the Sniffspot app shows availability, due to scheduling conflicts that I cannot synch without also blocking my front yard. •The pool is located in the backyard and there is a fence along the property line. •Access the pool from the back walkway from the driveway near the garage. •Enjoy use of the floats and furniture for humans only. •There is a water bowl, a hose you may use, and a shedding brush available. •No bathroom available (though I allow towel dried kid in urgent need! GG’s Funny Farm is a 2 acre family friendly farm that makes an enchanting dog park. On the property their are goats and chickens for your entertainment, however they are safely fenced behind a 6 foot fence in their own play area. A large play structure with swings, a ninja rope course and tether ball are all available for use while enjoying the property. Be sure to check out the pond out in the front East corner. Fish food is provided so you can feed the fish and see the pond come alive. Campfires with S’mores are available with a reservation and added fee. Come and enjoy this tranquil shady spot with your friends and family.
