We live on 15 acres, and now have 1.5 acres fully fenced! It is all very flat land making for an easy stroll with your dogs. We are boarded on two edges by farm fields and two edges by neighbors. There is a trail that circles the property, with plenty of space to explore. During the summer, please take advantage of the small kiddie pool. There are also toys and chairs in the fenced area for all guests. Some seasonal things to keep in mind: Spring/fall when we have heavy rain, some areas could have standing water and/or be muddy. Mid to late summer, there are fox tails (cheat grass) that can cling to your dogs. Winter, the trails might not be plowed. There will be a 5gal bucket in the wood shed (inside the fenced area) full of water you can use to refill the two water bowls. Keep an eye out for trip hazards! Logs, sticks, uneven ground and holes.

Ray's Private Dog Park In Edwall

The 50 acres is mostly timber, with a 7 acre pond that has water in it most of the year. It will dry up on really hot years. I do have chickens and pack goats by the house. But they are inside mesh fencing, so your dogs won’t be able to get to them. The 50 acres is completely fenced with a 3 to 5 strand Barbwire fence. It’s in good shape. It is also the property boundary. So as long as you stay inside of the fence, you will be on the property. There are not a lot of neighbors but the ones I have are nice. When you come up the driveway, you can pass the house and drive up on the hill and Park at the conex container. There is lots of wildlife on the property, and I highly recommend that your dog has some sort of tick repellent, we do have ticks in the spring time. The upper part of the driveway is not graveled, so if there’s melting snow, or a lot of ran, it can get muddy. So be prepared for that. Absolutely wonderful spot! The signage was super helpful in pointing us in the right direction. Beau is 8 months so still working on off leash recall and this was a perfect spot to do it. It was our first time, place was easy to find, well marked, easy parking area. We also had our 2 year old so we (slowly) wandered the main trail and a bit of the equestrian trail. My dogs had a great time, swam in the pond near the field and explored. It was nice most of the place is shaded on a hot day! Quite a few mosquitoes because of the water, but the host graciously placed bug spray around the property! Also a nice touch to have towels for those who may have forgotten their own. We will be back for sure!

Everything about Black Pond Farm is so wonderful. It’s a peaceful oasis that we are so grateful to able to visit. There is a lovely trail up to the Zoomie area. I took my dogs on the Forbidden Trail which is public land. It’s also a lovely trail but not private! I got confused about the boundary but Tim responded quickly and set me straight!!🤩

Stellar spot as always! We actually booked it today as neutral ground to introduce my fear reactive dog to some friends dogs who came to town. Are dog hiking trails safe?

While public dog parks have a number of safety issues, such as aggressive dogs, inattentive owners, disease transmission and general cleanliness, Sniffspot dog parks are much safer than a city or county park. With a Sniffspot off-leash area all bookings are private for just you and dogs you bring with you and we require all dogs to be vaccinated (or have equivalent titers). Will there be other dogs at the Sniffspot hiking trail at the same time as me?

Sniffspot only allows one booking at a time and any host dogs are required to be kept away from the spot during visits. We also enforce 30 min time buffers between bookings.
