55Path along the fields was recently mowed. Trails are well maintained - use caution if wet as they can be steep and slippery! The dogs had an absolute blast, even when it started to rain there was plenty of tree cover to keep us mostly dry. We’ll be back!Malia P.

55Beautiful hike. The area is not fenced but we didn't see or hear anyone the whole time we were there and felt perfectly comfortable letting our dog off leash. The trail goes uphill so it's something to consider as I didn't feel well the day I came and it was a bit of a challenge for me. Hiking boots are a must. There were patches of dirt and vet grass. We didn't get too far as we only booked an hour and we played with the dog on our way. We would consider booking 2 hrs next time. But because it was an uphill road with a lot of bushes to smell - our dog was tired and slept for 2 days after 😄 So if you think that nothing can shake all the energy out of your dog - try this spott!Ekaterina M.

55Love love love this Sniffspot! We have a pup who loves to explore the outdoors but is anxious around other dogs which makes this location a gem. Plenty of trails and open spaces to frolic in without distractions nearby. The trail is always well maintained and was mostly dry in mid-July. We saw a couple of mosquitos in the late afternoon but nothing unexpected. We love this location and cannot recommend it enough! Shelby K.

55Great spot, loved it!! Kept the dogs leashed because one can't be trusted yet, but plan on returning for off leash fun with just my pup. I would say grab a stick for spider webs depending on your height. I'm taller so I tend to find them anyway. Amy L.

55This was a great experience for our first sniff spot. Our dog loved exploring the trails in peace. We spent a couple hours hiking around the space. Everything was exactly as described, and Ben provided quick responses to my questions before booking.Alicia H.

55This was a great first sniff spot. There was a ton of space for the dogs to explore and we appreciated the signs along the trails to help us remember where we've already walked. We didn't see any other animals or people which was perfect. We could hear dogs barking in the distance, but not close enough for our dogs to care.Tempest P.

55The 20 acre wooded property was so lovely and peaceful. We really enjoyed our time there. Lots of little trails for our dog to explore; she got so many zoomies and had the time of her life running around and rolling in the grass. We'd love to come back! Yvenna C.

55We arrived at a clearly marked gravel Sniffspot parking area in the left side of the road right in front of the mail box. To the left is a small meadow to run and sniff around in. Across the meadow is a Sniffspot sign pointing you in the direction of the trails.
(Sniffer Tips: There is a horse pasture about 100 feet from the parking area. Make sure your dog is leashed getting out of the vehicle so you do not bother the horse. I used a 50 foot long line leash to give my pup the freedom to run and explore while still being safely attached to me. At the bridge there is a map bolted to the tree. Take a picture of it on your phone for when you are in the forest. It will help you navigate. I wore rubber boots in case there was mud. We didn't encounter any mud, but the grass and leaves were wet, so you could get away with hiking boots/shoes. Bring snacks and water to refuel after the short but steep climb. To get the most out of this Sniffspot, book for 2+ hours. We will be booking for 3 hours next time.)
Once you reach the forest you must climb a well maintained, but steep, path. I am slightly out of shape so it kicked my butt, but the reward at the top is incredible. The trails feel very secluded and very natural. You will encounter some magnificent old mossy trees along the way. The path is covered in leaves which my pup thought was great fun. There are many different trials to explore.
We headed back to the truck after 40 minutes of walking as my pup was starting to get tired. We hung out the remaining time in the meadows closest to the parking area and enjoyed our time with some scent training. Nikki B.

55Great space to have a private hike with the dogs! We were excited to be able to use this space to practice some leash skills. I would be careful on some of the paths with dogs that tend to run before looking, there are some steep hills/cliffs that our dogs almost went over on some of the walk. Once we saw it we just put them on leash and were fine, but just a good thing to be on the lookout for. Lovely space, would definitely book again. Dyllan H.

55We used this Sniffspot during the snow. The host cleared the parking spot for us. My husband tagged along this time and was highly amused by the song lyrics. He pulled up the song on his phone and we listened while we hiked. Of course our dog loved bounding through the snow covered meadow and trails. Always a refreshing to come here.Nikki B.

55This was by far our favorite spot to explore for both canine & human. We had so much fun that next time we’d like to book much more time! Enzo has been exhausted and dreaming loudly 😂 & I learned I didn’t know the right words to ‘Stairway to heaven’ for over 40 years! Very cool spot! Yes, there are hills. Yes, you need proper footwear and yes it can be muddy however you and your pup will have a blast & a dog with his tongue hanging to the side because he’s had so much fun will be 100% worth it. Gorgeous property. Thank you Liz B.

FAQ about our Kenmore dog hiking trails
Are dog hiking trails safe?
While public dog parks have a number of safety issues, such as aggressive dogs, inattentive owners, disease transmission and general cleanliness, Sniffspot dog parks are much safer than a city or county park. With a Sniffspot off-leash area all bookings are private for just you and dogs you bring with you and we require all dogs to be vaccinated (or have equivalent titers). All Sniffspot locations are vetted and reviewed by guests so you can find the perfect place for you and your dog. 93% of reviews on Sniffspot visits are 5 stars. Our hiking trails tend to be outside the city, which lends to more privacy, but it is also important to follow typical hiking safety precautions, such as potentially having trail maps.
How do I know if a dog hiking trail works for my dog?
Sniffspot provides the tools to find the ideal spot. Start by applying basic filters, such as fencing 6 feet tall and distractions, to find a dog park with trails that works for your dog. You can also filter by size if you are looking for a certain acre park, an expansive off-leash dog park. If your dog doesn't have good recall, you can visit one of our fully fenced dog hiking trails. If your dog is reactive to other dogs, you can visit one of our dog hiking trails where there are no dogs audible or visible nearby. Since you are looking for trails, make sure to check photos to see if it the spot has flat trails or gnarly trails. You can also browse by specific amenities, if you are looking for a view or a beach, for instance, or other activities or fun features. You can check whether the spot has off or on street parking, the regular park hours, whether it has paved trails or a modern restroom.
What are the requirements to bring my dog to a Sniffspot dog hiking trail?
In order to hike the trails, we require that all dogs have basic vaccinations or equivalent titers. We do not permit dogs with a bite history. We require that guests sign our waiver and agree to follow our safety rules.
Will there be other dogs at the Sniffspot hiking trail at the same time as me?
Sniffspot only allows one booking at a time and any host dogs are required to be kept away from the spot during visits. We also enforce 30 min time buffers between bookings.
