55What a great place to play ball! My dog loved it. Host was super friendly and very attentive (it was my first time there). If you have a reactive dog, be aware that there are 2 dogs on the other side of the fence, but it wasn't a problem for my dog once I yelled at him to leave them alone. One thing I really liked is that the grass is thick. I believe there's only one other Sniffspot in Olympia and it's almost all dirt now.Sarah H.

55We had a such great time here today! Laura was out in the yard when I pulled up and came over to greet us right away. She is so welcoming and such a pleasant person to chat with, I really enjoyed meeting her. She was super happy to meet Cooper and he romped around happy while she gave us a detailed tour of the Sniffspot. This is a really nice, large fully fenced yard. She pointed out all of the "hazards", some of which she just recently discovered and hasn't had time to tackle just yet. She pointed out some fencing behind a thicket of bushes and trees and said, while it wouldn't be an issue for a bigger dog like Cooper, it's a type of fencing with wider gaps that a smaller dog might be able to get through. This was not a problem at all since the trees and bushes kind of form a natural fence-line and Cooper wasn't at all interested in going past them. She also pointed out a couple of huge anthills behind the house which she is going to try to get rid of soon...they are all the way toward the back of the property in a section that looks like a small gardening area. I just told Cooper to stay out of there and he did so again not an issue for us. The only other thing is one section of fence in the back of the house was damaged from recent weather and is basically falling down but Laura is going to have it fixed soon. Cooper has decent recall so we had no issues. If you're interested in visiting and any of this is a concern for you, just message Laura prior to visiting. She is extremely responsive and was happy to answer my many questions prior to making a reservation. It's otherwise an a really nice yard and a great Sniffspot. The fencing is otherwise completely secure. There are 2 dogs at the neighboring yard on one side. The fence on this side is 6 feet tall and solid with a good visual barrier all the way from one end to another so, while the dogs did bark for most of our visit, they don't seem aggressive at all and all you can see is a silhouette. Cooper showed no concern about them whatsoever so we were able to enjoy our time playing with no problems at all. Laura was really nice about Cooper running amuck on her front porch and peeing on her bushes and seems like a real dog lover. She was nice enough to fill a fresh bowl of water for Cooper right away (even asked me first to be sure it was okay) and also gave us a couple of tennis balls with a Chuckit before she went back in the house. We felt totally comfortable here and Cooper just loved rolling around in the grass and chasing balls. There is also a kid's slide/jungle gym sort of thing and Cooper had fun climbing around and practicing a little obedience with his beautiful Mama. A huge bonus is there is no mud here at all which is a nice find this time of year. We really enjoyed our visit and definitely plan to be back! Susan D.

55Our pups loved their visit, but were distracted by the many neighbor dogs - and the one in the fenced in area off the deck when we arrived (was inside shortly after). Beautiful property. Looked like some moss-out was used on the yard, so we made sure to rinse off paws before we left. We have an escape artist, so we kept our kiddos on their extendo-leashes. Lovely place - and we are so grateful for the opportunity to visit! Lyn P.

FAQ about our Lacey dog fields
Are dog fields safe?
If you are looking for an adventure, but also looking for safety, Sniffspot dog fields are a great option. While public dog parks have a number of safety issues, such as aggressive dogs, distracted dog owners, disease transmission and general cleanliness, Sniffspot dog parks are much safer than public dog parks. With Sniffspot all bookings are private space for just you and doggy friends you bring with you and we require all dogs to be vaccinated (or have equivalent titers). Especially for training, privacy is ideal. Contrary to public dog parks, all Sniffspot locations are vetted and reviewed by guests so you can find the perfect place for you and your dog for off leash exercise or outdoor training. 93% of reviews on Sniffspot visits are 5 stars, while public dog parks often do not even have verified reviews. All payment is done securely online by credit card in a few simple clicks.
All park rental information is available online. Start by filtering parks by fencing, size and distractions, to find a private spot that works for your dog. If your dog has poor recall, you can visit one of our secure fields. If your dog is reactive to other dogs, you can visit one of our dog fields where there are no dogs audible or visible nearby. You can review the details of the listing to make sure it works as your desired activity space, for example, safe dog exercise, dog training, a stress-free adventure with your furry friend or even a puppy event. You can even check the park amenities chart for amenities such as indoor training facilities, agility field, synthetic turf, exercise balls or field parking availability in advance. If inclement weather is an issue or poor field conditions, you can reschedule your visit up to 2 hours in advance.
What are the requirements to bring my dog to a Sniffspot dog field?
We require that all four-legged friends have basic vaccinations or equivalent titers. We do not allow dogs with a bite history. We require that guests sign our waiver and agree to follow our safety rules. Make sure to check host rules before visiting to ensure, for instance, that you are following allowable sports activities rules and any special events rules.
Will there be other dogs at the Sniffspot field at the same time as me?
No. Facility rentals are for private play time and any host dogs are required to be kept away from the area during visits, so this is perfect for a private adventure for you and your doggie friends, and perhaps a human friend. Hosts understand that many guests have dogs in training and are nervous owners. So when you book a Sniffspot dog field you have the entire private spot to yourself. We also enforce 30 min time buffers between time slots so you will not run into other guest dogs or a previous person when coming or leaving in the field parking area. Some hosts may have multiple fields, but there is always a buffer between fields.
