The Sniffspot venue is a 3 acre fully fenced area that you and your dog will have unsupervised, exclusive use of for the time that you have booked. There, you will find fresh filtered (RO) water for your canine companions, an abundance of toys, Chuckit balls and launchers, including guest supplies and other listed amenities. The entire farm is 36 fenced acres. For anyone interested, I will gladly provide supervised walks around the entire property for additional psychological enrichment at no additional cost. Note: Palmhill is a working organic farm. There may be an occasional worker sighting, but absolutely no reason for any employee to ever interact with a guest or their dogs. My interests lie in offering an affordable, stress-free, large, safe, clean, offleash venue for guests and their canine companions. Thanks to an awesome group of guests who have been with us since first opening the venue, this has been a very rewarding experience. However, there have been, a few guests who have not been doing a very good job of cleaning up after their own dogs which makes it very unpleasant for the guests who come in to the venue next. I have many visitors who pick up dog droppings of other people's dogs and don't say a word, and also return toys and balls to the recepticles, but they shouldn't have to! I actually had a guest say to me once, "Oh, I thought you had people to do that!" No, everyone is responsible for cleaning up after themselves before they leave the field. That's how we keep the venue tidy and affordable! I don't think that's an unreasonable expectation. I've had to post a list of reminders at the venue, (thank you, Michele) which I feel terrible about because they're not relevant for the MAJOROTY of Palmhill's guests. It's just a handful of mostly newer guests who aren't being very team friendly. I've met some awesome people and even more so awesome dogs, but sorry to say, if you don't play fair, you will be asked not to come back to this venue. Everyone is welcome including, large groups, highly reactive dogs, special needs dogs- dogs with anxiety, physical handicaps, previous dog park trauma dogs, etc. We love them all and will do our best to make everyone feel welcome! If your dogs don't have solid recall, stick to the fenced side. The whole place is so big, you shouldn't have a problem getting a good amount of walking/running in, without coming too close to the un-fenced side. I walked around for about 2 miles, and I'm guessing my dogs probably did twice that 😆 The host was nice and allowed extra time, because I took a wrong turn coming there and was late to my booked time. We will definitely be back."

Balboa Park

The structures, grounds and landscaping of Balboa Park are managed and maintained by the City of San Diego Park and Recreation Department. Smoking: Smoking is not permitted in Balboa Park. 63.0102(c)(11) Alcohol Permitted: Alcohol is permitted from noon until to 8:00 p.m. in the following locations: Botanical Building East Lawn and West Lawn; House of Pacific Relations Lawn; International Lawn; Mall Lawn; Moreton Bay Fig Lawn; Pan American Plaza Lawn; Recital Hall Lawn. Alcohol NOT Permitted: Alcohol use is not permitted in all other areas of Balboa Park. Please review the San Diego Municipal Code on Alcohol Consumption for details. Dogs: Dogs must be leashed and under the control of the owner at all times throughout the park, including trails and canyons. There are three dog parks that do not require a leash: Balboa Dr. at El Prado, Nate’s Point, south side of Cabrillo Bridge, open 24 hours Morley Field, northwest of tennis courts. SDMC 63.0102(c)(2), open 24 hours Grape St. Park is designated and posted as a dog-off-leash area during the following times: Monday-Friday, 7:30–9:00 p.m.; Saturday, Sunday & Holidays, 9:00–9:00 p.m. Dogs off-leash other than the posted times is a violation of SDMC 63.0102(c)(2)(c) Owners must pick up and dispose of dog feces in all areas. Plants It is unlawful to destroy or remove any vegetation in the Park. Collection of plants/seeds may be arranged through the Balboa Park horticulturist by calling 235-1114. SDMC 63.0102(c)(4) Barbecues All fires must be contained within barbecues. Portable barbecues are permitted and coals must be emptied into the concrete hot coal containers or permanent barbecues. Balboa Park Trail Maps are available at the Balboa Park Visitors Center for $5.50. There are interpretive panels at the main trail heads with maps and regulations. Main trail heads are: Park Blvd./Zoo Place, Park Blvd./Morley Field Drive, Florida Drive/Pershing Drive and Morley Field west of tennis courts and southwest of velodrome. §59.5.0502 Disturbing, Excessive, Offensive Noises — Declaration of Certain Acts Constituting The following activities, among others, are declared to cause disturbing, excessive, or offensive noises in violation of this section and are unlawful, namely: (a) Horns, Signaling Devices, etc. Unnecessary use or operation of horns, signaling devices, or other similar devices, on automobiles, motorcycles, or any other vehicle. (b) Radios, Television Sets, Phonographs, Loud Speaking Amplifiers and Similar Devices. (1) Uses Restricted The use or operation of any sound production or reproduction device, radio receiving set, musical instrument, drums, phonograph, television set, loud speakers and sound amplifier or other similar machine or device for the producing or reproducing of sound in such a manner as to disturb the peace, quiet, or comfort of any reasonable person of normal sensitivity in any area of the City is prohibited. This provision shall not apply to any participant in a licensed parade, or to any person who has been otherwise duly authorized by The City of San Diego to engage in such conduct.

Rancho Bernardo Dog Park

LEASH dogs while entering and leaving the Off-Leash area. Users must monitor and control their dogs at all times. Owners must clean up after their dogs. Aggressive dogs and dogs in heat are prohibited. Dogs must be removed from Off-Leash area if aggressive. No more than three dogs per family allowed at one time. Dogs must have current licenses and have no contagious diseases. Dog owner must remain in Off-Leash area with dog. Dogs must be under voice control at all times. Dog owner must have leash on hand at all times for each dog. Puppies under 4 months of age are not recommended. Spaying and neutering of dogs is recommended. Parents must closely supervise children. Parents must ask permission from the dog owner for children to play with a dog. Excessive barking is not allowed. Pet treats or food are not allowed. Fill any hole your dog digs. Dog training is not allowed in the leash-free area. Training may be allowed in other areas of the park by permit only. Contact the RB Center Director for more information. The Leash-Free area is subject to closure without notice for maintenance. dditional Regulations: Please keep dogs on leash while walking to/from the dog park Proper way to enter/exit the pens: -enter first gate and close door behind you. -remove leash before entering the pen -close door behind you after entering the pen -when leaving, do not place leash on your dog in the pen. Exit the pen into the entrance way, close the door behind you and then place the leash on your dog. No food inside the pens. -no people food, no dog food -- nothing edible at all. Don't bring food in your pocket, purses or bags. Do not let your children come into the park with any kind of food in their hands. No rollerblades, roller skates, bicycles, skateboards, scooters or baby strollers in the pens. No smoking in the pens. Cigarettes are toxic to dogs. Please remove choker/pronged collars before entering the pens. Dog's teeth/paws can get caught in them while they are playing, causing injury. Children under 16 may not enter the pens unless accompanied by an adult.

Park hours: Dawn to dusk daily except on maintenance days. Maintenance Hours: Pens are presently closed Thursday mornings, 10:00 a.m. until noon.
