55Wonderful fenced in area for my dog to run around! It is a steep climb up to the top, so keep that in mind. Lots of benches and shade throughout. Will definitely return!Karlee K.

55What an amazing place, not just for dogs but their humans too. After a short hill walk, you have beautiful views and the best place for your dogs to explore. My thanks to Carol and Rick for providing this safe and wonderful space for us. Shannon M.

55A tired pup is a good pup! We had all the room to roam without any distraction. Multiple places to sit and rest (this is a moderately sloped area - so a couple of benches were a nice addition). Area was easy to find and signage was easy to follow. Second time coming to this location but first time trying this area, we loved this one too!Emily H.

55The Vista space was steep which gave us all a great workout. And "vista" is an accurate description! Rolling hills of the Palouse as far as the eye can see...,Katherine K.

55First time at this Sniffspot but we enjoyed it! A nice little open area at the top of the hill for fetch and lots of little “trails” to walk around and explore. Very much appreciated the towels available for my muddy/slobbery pup in the parking lot Carter L.

55Our first time here and we loved the spot. So cool for Carol & Rick to provide this for the community. We booked Top Dog Vistas, the listing warned of the steep incline, and it was no joke. But once you reach the top the views were beautiful. The dogs have been sleeping since we got home (a tired dog is a good dog!), mission accomplished. We will definitely be back. Tyanne B.

55What a wonderful space! This was our first Sniffspot and Carol & Randy have gone above & beyond to create a safe, clean and inviting area for the dogs. Everything went seamlessly from arrival to departure. The dogs were so happy to be off leash and exploring all the trails. There was a large supply of dog bags, toys and water for the dogs. A great setup, and well thought out. The views are amazing which is an added bonus for us humans. Thank you, Carol & Randy for your generosity & kindness. We cannot wait to return.Wendy W.

55Amazing place! I’ve visited twice in the past few months. The hosts have created a first class place to bring your dog. New fencing, easy-to-use gates, water, a bathroom (of sorts), and towels. Towels - how amazing is that! The dog areas are spacious, clean, have lots of points of interest for your dog, and amazing views. I’d give them 6 (or more) stars if I could. Bob P.

55We were very impressed and enjoyed our visit. The area we visited was beautiful loved the views from vista view.
There was water for our big guy and 1 bottle each for my husband and I.
The hike up is a hike. The grade up is steep. But worth it. Plenty of areas to rest and catch your breath with plenty of shade. There’s a picnic table and a portaloo.
There were a couple of stray poos, but when pups are off leash they may stool and you may not know where. It was not a lot and we were very happy with our visit.
We can’t wait to visit again.

55The dogs loved it. We have a yard for them to run in but the large amount of fenced space the dogs had to run in was great. It was a little confusing the first time since there are three separate areas that dogs can go in. I probably didn't read into it enough to realize that. We got to speak with Rick for a little, he was very friendly and welcoming. Definitely will be going back for future adventures. Hayden B.

55A bit of a hike from the parking lot ( could be hard if the dog or human had mobility issues) but totally worth it. I very much enjoyed the privacy and beautiful scenery, and my canine companion enjoyed playing ball at the top. Very well taken care of area with poop bags, disposal buckets and drinking water for dogs. The owners left me my own security lock for future visits. Thank you! Weather wise conditions were perfect. I’d imagine earlier in the season, or if it rains a lot, the cow path would be muddy. This was not a concern today and my dog would not care.Roine L.

55Stunning views from the top and a spot open enough for my border collie to play some fetch but she also loved all the walking trails she could run through smelling all the smells. Opal and I loved this place and will definitely be back! Josie N.

FAQ about our Latah dog parks
Are dog parks good for dogs?
It is important for dogs to have off leash exercise to sniff and run. But the free and open nature of public dog parks has drawbacks. There could be aggressive dogs, disease transmission and cleanliness issues. For this reason, many dog behaviorists discourage visiting public dog parks and recommend Sniffspot's private dog parks. Sniffspot private dog parks only allow one guest to book at a time and are not open to the public, which solves many of these issues.
Are dog parks safe?
While public dog parks have a number of safety issues, such as aggressive dogs, disease transmission and general cleanliness, Sniffspot dog parks much safer than public dog parks. With Sniffspot all bookings are private for just you and dogs you bring with you and we require all dogs to be vaccinated (or have equivalent titers). All Sniffspot locations are vetted and reviewed by guests so you can find the perfect place for you and your dog. 98% of reviews on Sniffspot visits in the Latah area are 5 stars.
How do I know if a dog park works for my dog?
You can filter Sniffspot dog parks by fencing and distractions. If your dog doesn't have good recall, you can visit one of our 61 fully fenced dog parks in the area. If your dog is reactive to other dogs, you can visit one of our 4 off leash areas where there are no dogs audible or visible nearby. You can also filter locations to avoid other domestic animals and people. We also recommend reading reviews and reaching out to the host with any questions.
