55Awesome, secure, well kept, fully fenced, clean, a wonderful place to visit!
First time visiting this new area and the views are breathtaking! They're not kidding when they advise this spot is quite the workout (on the way up). You will be out of breath at times on this pleasant hike, so plan accordingly. If it has rained in any significant amount in the last day or so, wear Wellies/easily rinsed off boots. To avoid a slip and slide-experience on the trail (if muddy), just walk to the right or left of the beaten path where all the grass and brush provide traction. Won't be an issue in the snow. Love the picnic bench, and there are ample watering stations, poo-receptacles & resting places for people throughout. Also, a toy chest up top!
There are two pad locks when you reach the gate for this area after walking up the little hill from the parking area. One lock for the tractor to enter through and one for us people and our dogs, so be sure to look down and to your right for the padlock that accepts the given code for entry.
Thank you for putting so much of your time and money into making a lovely, well cared for and fun place for people and dogs to visit. The sheer number of fence post holes you had to dig around your property (on a crazy incline) to keep each of the three areas so safely fenced was alone, a huge sacrifice!
Thank you for spending your evenings reading these reviews (like you would your children's wishlist) and then happily undertaking new projects to fulfill them as you're able with your money and free time every week. You've made a special place, I'm grateful for the hard work and investment given here for 'strangers' who live in apartments like me to benefit from regularly. God must be up there preparing a special place for you both right now, in Heaven! Bless you, Rick & Carol, what a labor of love - thank you!!!Victoria B.

55This was EXACTLY what we wanted! The dogs were so happy to be off leash and just explore! The water was filled at each spot. We always bring our own poop bags, but was nice to see they supplied them too with garbages.

55Absolutely the best place to bring your dogs! My Vizsla Blue and his best pal Bertie were in heaven. Lots of space to run, sniff and explore. There are benches and plenty of water for your pups. It’s also wonderful for humans - beautiful views and a healthy walk. We will be coming back many times. Shannon M.

55We have been to their other spots before, but we’re excited to visit the vista now that it is fully fenced! It did not disappoint! There was so many paths for us and our doggos to explore and they got super worn up throwing a ball down the hill for them! We briefly saw the owners of the spot on our way out and they seemed liked the nicest people! Excited to visit again soon!Aaron A.

55Awesome place! Very secure with fencing, which is needed as my doggies like to sneak out under fencing sometimes. Tons of water stations with clean cold water bowls. There is a big hill that you have to walk up, so keep that in mind when booking. I’ll definitely be coming back! Kienna H.

55This sniff spot had a lot of room to run for my two high energy dogs. The property is a bit of a steep climb to get to the top but beautiful views and a flat spot to chase a ball was totally worth it.Cassandra K.

55This is a fantastic addition and our setter had so much fun exploring this new site. We're getting a little older and making it to the top was a bit challenging, but the viewer great. After spending some time in the gym we'll definitely be back!Rob S.

55What an amazing spot! My Husky was in his element, running back and forth, exploring every bush, tree, grassy area and fence trail. He had so much fun! I practiced the recall with him and he did really well. I will definitely use this Sniff Spot again. Valerie V.

55I visited the dawn to dusk top dog vistas on Tuesday. Was not sure I would be able to get up the steep hill that others were commenting on but for me it was not as bad as i anticipated although still a very decent climb up. Well worth the climb as the view up top is beautiful and our two dogs we had with us just loved exploring and sniffing EVERYTHING!! There were plenty of water stations with fresh water and benches at each to sit down. Very clean also and towels were provided in parking lot area for the dogs
If there paws were muddy. Well worth the trip there. We will definitely be back. I have been at all three of their sniff spots and they are all well maintained and unique in their own way. We love them all !Kristina S.

55Indigo and Sterling had such an exciting time at the Top Dog Vista. They explored and discovered all sorts of scents, they are Weimaraner’s. They could have stayed there all day. We were so impressed with the trails and water availability. As other mentioned, the trail up to the Vista gate is steep. It was difficult for us to take our pups down the hill since they are leash pullers. We loved the Top Dog Vista.Patty F.

55Wow what an amazing place! The Top Dog Vistas area is huge and well maintained, with lots of places to sit, water available for the dogs, poop bags and trash cans. It is well secured with a fence all the way around so I felt completely safe. It definitely is a bit of a hike both for the dog and human, but the views from the top are beautiful! My dog absolutely loved running through the tall grass and got the zoomies running up and down the hill. This will definitely be a spot we come back to often!Ashley G.

55This was absolutely perfect for my husky mix Hazel and I. It was my first time using the app and this place exceeded my expectations. We live in an apartment, so it’s not easy for us to find places she can safely run free. There were several toys, water stations, and so much room for her to run. It is a climb so be aware of that if you don’t typically hike. Overall, 10/10 experience, and we will definitely be back. Emily H.

55Very wide open area for your pups, but there is a steep slope to climb to get there. There's also another dog area adjacent to the path up to the top area which is good to be aware of if you have dogs that are reactive to other dogs. Overall a cool and large area.Patrick R.

FAQ about our Latah dog fields
Are dog fields safe?
If you are looking for an adventure, but also looking for safety, Sniffspot dog fields are a great option. While public dog parks have a number of safety issues, such as aggressive dogs, distracted dog owners, disease transmission and general cleanliness, Sniffspot dog parks are much safer than public dog parks. With Sniffspot all bookings are private space for just you and doggy friends you bring with you and we require all dogs to be vaccinated (or have equivalent titers). Especially for training, privacy is ideal. Contrary to public dog parks, all Sniffspot locations are vetted and reviewed by guests so you can find the perfect place for you and your dog for off leash exercise or outdoor training. 93% of reviews on Sniffspot visits are 5 stars, while public dog parks often do not even have verified reviews. All payment is done securely online by credit card in a few simple clicks.
How can I find dog fields in Latah?
There are 20 dog fields in the Latah area. The most popular dog field is Dawn to Dusk Doggy Domain. You can browse all of our dog fields here.
How do I know if a dog field works for my dog?
All park rental information is available online. Start by filtering parks by fencing, size and distractions, to find a private spot that works for your dog. If your dog has poor recall, you can visit one of our secure fields. If your dog is reactive to other dogs, you can visit one of our dog fields where there are no dogs audible or visible nearby. You can review the details of the listing to make sure it works as your desired activity space, for example, safe dog exercise, dog training, a stress-free adventure with your furry friend or even a puppy event. You can even check the park amenities chart for amenities such as indoor training facilities, agility field, synthetic turf, exercise balls or field parking availability in advance. If inclement weather is an issue or poor field conditions, you can reschedule your visit up to 2 hours in advance.
What are the requirements to bring my dog to a Sniffspot dog field?
We require that all four-legged friends have basic vaccinations or equivalent titers. We do not allow dogs with a bite history. We require that guests sign our waiver and agree to follow our safety rules. Make sure to check host rules before visiting to ensure, for instance, that you are following allowable sports activities rules and any special events rules.
Will there be other dogs at the Sniffspot field at the same time as me?
No. Facility rentals are for private play time and any host dogs are required to be kept away from the area during visits, so this is perfect for a private adventure for you and your doggie friends, and perhaps a human friend. Hosts understand that many guests have dogs in training and are nervous owners. So when you book a Sniffspot dog field you have the entire private spot to yourself. We also enforce 30 min time buffers between time slots so you will not run into other guest dogs or a previous person when coming or leaving in the field parking area. Some hosts may have multiple fields, but there is always a buffer between fields.
How much do Sniffspot fields cost?
Dog fields in the Latah area range from $5.0 and $20.0. The least expensive dog field is Dawn to Dusk Top Dog Vistas. The most expensive dog field is Oak Rd Private Dog Field In Spokane. Each host sets their own price, so you can check the price on the specific Sniffspot dog park listing.
