55We forgot to take pics but we did post a few great vides on our insta page! We loved it. The fields were a bit wet post prior days rain but we were prepared with boots. The horses came to say hello over the fence and were tolerant of my pups barking a little. Fields were poo free and fresh water was out for them. Gwen P.

55Only one field open, but very quiet and safe. There is one small opening on the right bottom, so if you have a small pup, watch that corner for potential escape.

55Everything went very smoothly - with four areas, there are great options for the pups to play. Details on the play areas and some treats/accessories are available at the "check in table". The one field we played in was clean and fully fenced. Plenty of grass, no dirt or mud areas. Definitely plan on visiting again!Mark W.

55We had a great time! Checking in was easy and there were treats and waste bags. There were buckets of water for the pups to enjoy in between running around. Only one field was open, but it was the largest one, with more than enough room for three Great Danes and a lab/beagle mix to run and play. Bonus: The horses next door kept the pups intrigued! 55First, I was impressed with the owner's quick replies to my questions, accommodations and offering to make our proposed visit with our small child even more comfortable. This Sniffspot is clearly marked and self sufficient. It was a fully fenced large flat yard with nice short green grass, shade in parts of yard, trees to sniff/mark, a bench, water bowls, hose access, dog toys, dog baby pool available, and even a "fire hydrant" for dog enrichment. I was worried that one of my three dogs wouldn't be able to get over the horses next door, but he did. The other fields weren't open, but we were very happy where we were. There is some puddling that seems to occur along the far back fence bordering the woods after a recent rain, but it is out of the way and there's the hose to rinse any muddy paws that might happen. (Only one of my dogs discovered that spot, and bottom of paws just needed a quick wipe.) We visited near Easter, and the owner had nicely put out Easter eggs with dog treats as a little gift to visitors. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit and look forward to having this as a go-to place for full-out running and exploring.Stacie B.

55Thank you so much for allowing us to use your space! Jackson and Lola has an absolute BLAST running free in so much space and I was happy they were safely contained. We will definitely be coming back!! Hope your leg feels better soon! Brittany W.

55It was our very first Sniffspot visit and it turned out to be wonderful and so worth driving to! It was easy to find, the instructions were clear. The fields are fenced, beautifully maintained, all thick grass no mud, and even a bench to sit! There was also a hose with water but we brought our own water. We only used one of the fields, not enough time to explore all of them! Lots of playing mixed with training and running full speed and relaxing and listening to silence. Our dog LOVED it! Thank you so much Marygrace for sharing your beautiful space with us!Oksana B.

55Wow! Our dog had a blast! He usually just sits in the grass and doesn't run or play. But here he played fetch and even met some horses! What a beautiful property and we will be back for sure! Thank you!Stacy L.

55This was our first sniff spot experience and we’ll definitely be back! Mary Grace just happened to be outside, greeted us and let us know what to do. There area is huge and our playful, energetic lab was tired after 30 minutes of running and sniffing. Nadji K.

55This is Addie and I's favorite Sniffspot by far. There really is so much room for Addie to run around and smell all of the smells. Usually Addie gets bored at other, smaller Sniffspots after 10 minutes of exploring, but here, Addie never stops exploring for the full hour, which is really impressive since she's 11.5 years old! The field is neatly kept and there isn't any junk lying around. I would definitely recommend wearing waterproof shoes though, as the field can be dewy and will soak your shoes after walking around for awhile. Excellent Sniffspot! 5 stars!Alyssa J.

55This is such a beautiful, wide, safe swath of land with lush grass for Moses to roam, run and we work on recalls too. Even with an injured leg, today Mary Grace came out with a toy (like a Squishy Face toy but better) and Moses had a blast with that. It was a perfect idea since he doesn’t really play fetch. We are so lucky to have it close by. Also Moses is reactive and besides horses distractions are next to none which gives him time to decompress, not be on alert. Kim J.

55Doggy heaven! Such a beautiful place and area. Kathy has a welcome station with all the necessities, including hand sanitizer, poop bags, and treats. There are mellow horses next door that my dog was fascinated by - a fun bonus. Kathy was also so nice to offer a neat toy for Luna to play with - I forgot my stuff in the car - and we had a great time. Can’t wait to visit again! Anna H.

55Our puppers, Bella, is a 1 year old pittie mix and can be reactive towards other dogs. This was a great place for her to run around and have lots of fun! The neighbor’s horses did not seem to bother her much. She loved the squirrel teaser toy! Can’t wait till we come back to play!!! Thanks for being such a great host!Jen H.

55Great large field, completely fenced in. Host has a lunge stick with a toy at the end that our dog loves, she was smiling the entire time and is happily asleep now. Will certainly be back. Grateful thank you to our host!John S.

FAQ about our Lothian dog parks
Are dog parks good for dogs?
It is important for dogs to have off leash exercise to sniff and run. But the free and open nature of public dog parks has drawbacks. There could be aggressive dogs, disease transmission and cleanliness issues. For this reason, many dog behaviorists discourage visiting public dog parks and recommend Sniffspot's private dog parks. Sniffspot private dog parks only allow one guest to book at a time and are not open to the public, which solves many of these issues.
Are dog parks safe?
While public dog parks have a number of safety issues, such as aggressive dogs, disease transmission and general cleanliness, Sniffspot dog parks much safer than public dog parks. With Sniffspot all bookings are private for just you and dogs you bring with you and we require all dogs to be vaccinated (or have equivalent titers). All Sniffspot locations are vetted and reviewed by guests so you can find the perfect place for you and your dog. 97% of reviews on Sniffspot visits in the Lothian area are 5 stars.
