55Our pups had a fabulous time visiting this Sniffspot! So much to explore and a variety of spaces to choose from depending on your dog's needs/preferences -- open fields, trails, and a creek for the water lovers. Greatly appreciated the host's email to alert us to the mud and that the creek was running high and fast due to the recent rains. Highly recommend, and I know we'll definitely be back!!Sheri W.

55This spot is great for wandering among the trees and exploring with your dog. The property is large enough and with enough tree cover that it is easy to feel like you are on a hike in the woods. My dog and I loved it!
The lack of fencing means your dog needs good recall or to be on leash. The terrain was hilly and rugged enough that your dog could easily wander out of site while not actually being that far away from you, and you’ll want to make sure to wear hiking appropriate footwear.
The host was very helpful and gave clear instructions for where to go. (Also, as long as you stay on the trails, it is easy to navigate the property). Make sure to read the parking directions before you drive there as it is easy to drive past where you are supposed to park (I did) though you won’t end up too far out of the way if you do.
This spot was just what I hoped it would be and my dog and I will definitely be back!
For the reactive dog owner: we neither saw nor heard any dogs or humans the entire time we were there. Where we parked there was a horse visible in a nearby field, but it was some distance away. There were small birds living wild in the bushes, so a dog with a strong prey drive may get distracted by that. Joy R.

55This was our first visit to this SniffSpot. Despite Ben being right at the mailbox to meet me, I still drove by him and the mailbox following my GPS. It wasn’t a big deal, but pay attention to his instructions in the description if you want to get it right the first time :). He directed me to follow the path and signs to get to the main trail, which was very helpful. Bring hiking shoes or rainboots with good traction to go up hills and tall grass. Lots of hills and awesome nature paths. I found it to be incredible. My dogs loved it too. I heard a dog barking off in the distance, but it was never seen and seemed far off. Just a headsup if your dog worries if they hear other dogs. My dogs don’t like being encountered by strange dogs, but they were too invested in nature to care about any sounds, and we didn’t have a worry in the world here. There are many trails, I could have easily spent two hours here. I will next time. Peaceful and perfect. Even the drive to this property was beautiful. Go! Lindy L.

55Such a lovely property! The birds serenaded us with gusto and the wooded trail was peaceful and serene. The trails were well groomed and Ben gave great directions so we didn’t loose our bearings. The nettles and mosquitoes are out, so definitely wear long pants and hiking shoes. The dogs were in Heaven and we got a mini workout too...win win!! Carol W.

55We had an absolutely fantastic time and first impromptu Sniffspot experience this afternoon! As Ben warned, it can be a little tricky to find the entrance on the first visit, but he was there to greet me and get me oriented (very patiently, I might add, given his attempts to give detailed directions ahead of time and my botching it anyway). The property is incredibly peaceful. The songbirds led us into the forest and off we went. I have a very anxious girl who absolutely loves to be in nature, but is very reactive to other dogs. I’ve been stressed trying to figure out where to take her that other off-leash dogs won’t run up to her and this spot was perfect for us. The highest compliment my dog can pay is refusing to get in the car at the end of a walk if she’s having a good time. That happened here and there was a lot of coaxing, treating and promises to come back to get her to agree to leave. ;) We loved the opportunity to be able walk in the woods and enjoy the open field areas as well (good spot for training practice). I did bring my hiking boots to change into and was glad I had them, as the ground is rough and also muddy in some spots (it’s the woods, after all). You could get by with sneakers, but boots will make your time a lot more enjoyable. Don’t forget the long pants either!Sara S.

55This spot is great! Parking was a little confusing, it’s the mailboxes that are right before the gated driveway on the left side. We also encountered a lot of mud, so have good shoes and maybe bring a towel in the car just in case. We really enjoyed our visit 😁Jessica R.

55What a beautiful place to run the pups! I got a little lost at first so here is a helpful hint. When you pull in you will see a gate in front of you in the driveway. That is the correct house but you pass a mailbox right before you get there. That’s where you park on the grass. There is a sniff spot sign on the tree. When you get out walk through the clump of trees and there is a cute bridge with a stream. Cross that and head up the hill in the pasture. You will hit the trails. They have been recently cleared so there are no sticker bushes and nice and wide. There was mud because it’s been wet for the last 2 weeks so I’m glad I wore boots. Lots of hills and old growth trees. The dogs were able to rinse any mud off at the stream and get a drink before getting back in the truck. Beautiful woods to hike in, you will enjoy this spot! Thank Dee J.

55This was fantastic for my dog/leash reactive girl, she had a great time running around and exploring and working on her recall. Finding the start of the trail is a little confusing but follow the directions and keep an eagle eye out for landmarks and you’ll have a great time! Jaquie K.

55I hesitate to write this because I don't want to give away such a phenomenal spot! My family of four took our pit/golden mix of for an afternoon of exercise and fun. I have high anxiety, and felt completely calm and stress-free while there. Fun signs lead the way up the trail. Good healthy hike. Obi, my boy, was so thrilled. Lots of slugs for the kids to look at. Some mud, nothing bad. I also recommend long pants and old sneakers or boots. $10 an hour for a private, leash free hike? Yes, please. Thanks, Ben! Ashley G.

55A favorite SniffSpot of ours because it’s so peaceful and fun to explore! Wear sturdy shoes so you can hike up the hills and wonder the woods. Well maintained trails with really fun signs to lead you along the main path, but there are many paths to take or loop around the property. Great for people and dogs alike! There is a creek at the beginning of the path to get to the woods, but remember to bring some water for the pups, as I forgot this round and they chugged a bunch of water after we got back out of the woods due to all the romping and sniffing they did.Lindy L.

55This sniff spot is perfect for dogs who like to run, roll, and splash. The creek running through was a big hit. The meadow has long grass that my dog had so much fun hopping around in. The sniff spot is close to a road but it is residential and in the hour I was there only one car passed through. It felt very safe and I have one tired furbaby!Kaitlin S.

55This is our new favorites sniff spot! It has everything you could want, a big grassy field and trails if you want to get your steps in. The dogs have a blast exploring and romping around. It may be unfenced but it only feels in fenced in the area you park. Even in that areas the road is residential and almost no traffic. We saw one car and one runner in the hour We were there. Once you get into the trails there’s nowhere for your dogs to go that would be unsafe. The creek is great for splashing around and drinking. However it’s not deep enough to bring home soaking wet dogs, which I appreciate! Ben is super easy to work with a very responsive to messages.Linsey T.

55This is a lovely place: first, a big meadow for running and fetching, then a hike up into the forest. The trail is steep in places, but I'm an oldster with bad knees and made it up (slowly!) while the dog rang rings around me. The hour went by too fast; next time we'll book 2 hours!Barbara L.

FAQ about our Lynnwood dog hiking trails
Are dog hiking trails safe?
While public dog parks have a number of safety issues, such as aggressive dogs, inattentive owners, disease transmission and general cleanliness, Sniffspot dog parks are much safer than a city or county park. With a Sniffspot off-leash area all bookings are private for just you and dogs you bring with you and we require all dogs to be vaccinated (or have equivalent titers). All Sniffspot locations are vetted and reviewed by guests so you can find the perfect place for you and your dog. 93% of reviews on Sniffspot visits are 5 stars. Our hiking trails tend to be outside the city, which lends to more privacy, but it is also important to follow typical hiking safety precautions, such as potentially having trail maps.
How do I know if a dog hiking trail works for my dog?
Sniffspot provides the tools to find the ideal spot. Start by applying basic filters, such as fencing 6 feet tall and distractions, to find a dog park with trails that works for your dog. You can also filter by size if you are looking for a certain acre park, an expansive off-leash dog park. If your dog doesn't have good recall, you can visit one of our fully fenced dog hiking trails. If your dog is reactive to other dogs, you can visit one of our dog hiking trails where there are no dogs audible or visible nearby. Since you are looking for trails, make sure to check photos to see if it the spot has flat trails or gnarly trails. You can also browse by specific amenities, if you are looking for a view or a beach, for instance, or other activities or fun features. You can check whether the spot has off or on street parking, the regular park hours, whether it has paved trails or a modern restroom.
What are the requirements to bring my dog to a Sniffspot dog hiking trail?
In order to hike the trails, we require that all dogs have basic vaccinations or equivalent titers. We do not permit dogs with a bite history. We require that guests sign our waiver and agree to follow our safety rules.
Will there be other dogs at the Sniffspot hiking trail at the same time as me?
Sniffspot only allows one booking at a time and any host dogs are required to be kept away from the spot during visits. We also enforce 30 min time buffers between bookings.
How much do Sniffspot hiking trails cost?
Dog hiking trails in the Lynnwood area range from $4.0 and $4.0. The least expensive dog hiking trail is Cozy Yard Friendly Owner near Greenwood. The most expensive dog hiking trail is Cozy Yard Friendly Owner near Greenwood. Each host sets their own price, so you can check the price on the specific Sniffspot dog park listing.
