Space includes a small wooded area within the fenced area. Bathroom available on site in the smaller barn. SMOKE FREE ZONE. Pick up after dogs, garbage bin provided. There are a few seniors visiting with mobility issues which is taken into consideration when there is poop left behind. You can always message me and let me know a general area and I can try to run out and pick it up between the next visit. There are some small gaps in the fence, so this is a great spot for large and medium sized dogs. Not a spot recommended for small dogs or severely reactive. Please keep dogs leashed until it is your time slot and are in the designated area and keep in mind you may pass another dog owner with their dog on a leash leaving or entering the spot. IF YOU CAN NOT CONTROL YOUR DOG ON A LEASH WHEN PASSING ANOTHER DOG PLEASE DO NOT BOOK THIS SPOT. Lots of seniors visit this spot and they may need some extra time to walk to their cars. For the most part spacing between guests has been good. Please read the essential rules the website has suggested in order to keep this a fun and safe place for dogs. Guests can be blocked from booking again if they do not respect the space or who are rude to me. Please check the spot descriptions for all details regarding animals on the property. SPRING AND SUMMER ANNOUNCEMENTS *We will be adding a doggy splash pad and a kiddie pool with fresh water as an add on option. *shade umbrellas are out of storage and I just have to wash them... so they are coming very soon. *I am in the works of creating a full enclosed cat park. So if you are also a cat person or know a cat person please share my other link to book through the Swimply App. Similar to sniff spot but the insurance coverage is slightly different for cats ahah. The area available is not fenced and is 3.5 acres, situated entirely off the road. The main play space is an heirloom apple orchard with 25+ beautiful old gnarled trees in an unmowed meadow. My own reactive dog loves to spring through the tussocks and uses the trees like an obstacle course. Beyond the meadow is 3.5 acres of hawthorn scrub that’s great for dogs, but not easily human-penetrable. Perfect for letting adventurous dogs have a solo romp if they have good recall. We've been to Barb's retreat about 5 times this summer and it's a gem every time. The field is now cut and it's full of mice trails to follow (and the inevitable uneven ground of a field but our chihuahua mix does ok, just be aware). The woods are so pleasant and offer many trails - seems like we find new paths each time, always well maintained with attention to good ground covering (no mud!) and water and seating. It's just before the leaves turn too! We will keep coming through the fall and see how it gets come winter rains. Thanks Barb!

This place is worth the drive from Bellingham! Barb met us at the gate and gave us the run down. The field has a well mowed (and FYI, sometimes a bit uneven) path the dogs loved to cruise on, as well as the tall grass in the middle to bound through. The wooded area is well cared for and well marked. My daughter and I enjoyed rambling around the acreage, it was a laid back evening. Loved having a spot to stop and sit, with water and garbage and baggies if needed. She's thought of everything. We'll be back!

This was our first time using a Sniffspot and it was 100% worth it. Barb met us beforehand to give us the rundown and was very nice. The property has a nice variety of field and wooded areas. What an incredible place. The fields make it fun for the big dogs to bounce through the tall grass and they get a great run there. But it keeps getting better. The woods are amazing. So beautiful, with well marked trails. She also has benches where you can sit and relax and listen to the sound of the woods. I am telling all my friends about this wonderful place. I will also be going back often.

Another wonderful visit! Water stocked, poop bags available, multiple trash cans. Well tended trails and mowed field. Bring boots for some muddy spots in the woods but trails are very well tended. Lots of fun for adults, kids and dogs.

Every time I come here I'm more impressed with the care and dedication that goes into creating this oasis. As my deaf dog's vision diminishes, I'm so thankful that we can come here and be safely off leash to explore and enjoy this beautiful property. This property is incredible! Huge field with mix of mowed/open track and long grass to run in. The best part though is the trails in the back of the property- such a joy to walk with your dog off leash in a wooded area like this! Worth the drive, check it out! Host bonuses are trash & recycling, dog & human water, and balls. Can’t wait to visit again. This property is obviously so well cared for. Did not see any other dogs (other than the pup friend we met here) so good for reactive pups too.

This is the best Sniffspot around. The dogs have plenty of open field to bounce around and then there is a forest with awesome trails to explore. There is also a water station for dogs/humans, and another spot with camp chairs to just sit and watch the dogs explore.

We have our 2 dogs which are rescues and both have their own set of challenges, I always feel safe letting them be free at barbs property. We all love the massive field to play with the chuck it which is provided, and for the last 30 minutes we walk the trails which they just love to sniff around. I HIGHLY recommend it and have recomennded it to many of our friends and family.

Are dog fields safe?

If you are looking for an adventure, but also looking for safety, Sniffspot dog fields are a great option. While public dog parks have a number of safety issues, such as aggressive dogs, distracted dog owners, disease transmission and general cleanliness, Sniffspot dog parks are much safer than public dog parks. With Sniffspot all bookings are private space for just you and doggy friends you bring with you and we require all dogs to be vaccinated (or have equivalent titers). Especially for training, privacy is ideal. Contrary to public dog parks, all Sniffspot locations are vetted and reviewed by guests so you can find the perfect place for you and your dog for off leash exercise or outdoor training. 93% of reviews on Sniffspot visits are 5 stars, while public dog parks often do not even have verified reviews. You can even check the park amenities chart for amenities such as indoor training facilities, agility field, synthetic turf, exercise balls or field parking availability in advance. If inclement weather is an issue or poor field conditions, you can reschedule your visit up to 2 hours in advance.

What are the requirements to bring my dog to a Sniffspot dog field?

We require that all four-legged friends have basic vaccinations or equivalent titers. We do not allow dogs with a bite history. We require that guests sign our waiver and agree to follow our safety rules. Make sure to check host rules before visiting to ensure, for instance, that you are following allowable sports activities rules and any special events rules.

Will there be other dogs at the Sniffspot field at the same time as me?

No. Facility rentals are for private play time and any host dogs are required to be kept away from the area during visits, so this is perfect for a private adventure for you and your doggie friends, and perhaps a human friend. Hosts understand that many guests have dogs in training and are nervous owners. So when you book a Sniffspot dog field you have the entire private spot to yourself. We also enforce 30 min time buffers between time slots so you will not run into other guest dogs or a previous person when coming or leaving in the field parking area. Some hosts may have multiple fields, but there is always a buffer between fields.
