Magical Mossy Forest

Unfenced
5 acres

Magical Mossy Forest Sniffspot is a large mystical woodland adventure for dogs in Redmond on the way to Carnation. Boots are recommended in the winter rain. MMF is preferred by puppies, dogs, people, adults and kids alike because it has potable water, power, picnic tables, chairs, several firepits, lit portapotties, 3 swing sets, 3 slides, monkey bars, 3 Forts, a log bridge to cross over Little Ames Creek for when the creek is flowing, a doggy playground, lots of picturesque moss, lighted parking lot, woodchip trails and many footpaths over 5 forested moss covered acres. Parking is near the road, separated by 50 ft of woods, so we suggest that all our doggy friends be leashed until they are on the trails with you. Please leash your dog until into the forest away from the parking area, after that Bob's Your Uncle! Watch kids and dogs in the parking area near the road, and at Ames Creek. A secluded place to dork out and have fun, enjoying a natural Pacific rainforest. Note that the creek is dry in midsummer until the fall and winter rains kick in. Boots are recommended in the fall and winter. Find a map of the main trails in a photo on our MMF Sniffspot site. There are lots of foot trails through the understory ferns. The log bridge can be used to cross Ames Creek, or you can ford it to discover the rest of Magical Mossy Forest Sniffspot. Please pack out doggy bags with you because there is no garbage pickup here, please leave no trace. If there is a downpour and you want to wait it out there is a dry shed in the parking area. Access to power helps keep your batteries charged. Please carry your toilet paper (sorry it walks away). The portapotties are cleaned once a week. Please visit our Facebook page - https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=61555379018442 Let us know if you have any questions. Synchronized play bowing to you!

Camp Dilly Dally Doggie Park In Buckley

Partially Fenced
5 acres

We offer five acres of partially mowed fields and a natural wooded area. There is a small pond and access to South Prairie Creek. The creek has a variable current, so it may be best for larger dogs. The pond would be ideal for smaller dogs who aren't strong swimmers. Trails began as deer/elk trails but have been improved. There are some small logs and rocks here and there to step over so sturdy shoes are recommended. The leaves that cover the trails in the fall may be a little slippery, so take care.

Would be perfect for those that don’t want to interact with others (i.e. cars driving by, strangers, the neighbors... ‘chatty hosts/property owners’😉). Safe place for adventurous individuals that prefer to explore alone with their doggo(s), a doggie daycare retreat, a memorable late evening of star-gazing, or a safe place for a highly reactive dog to have fun. Details: 5 acres, off-grid experience (no power or running water) with it’s own private entrance. Two grassy sloping yard areas with “Tranquility Trails” that loop up the hill. Secluded, native woodland with mowed grass. There are (overgrown) cottage style gardens. During your visit, feel free to pick blueberries, wild blackberries, apples or roses — or pull weeds — if that’s fun for you. 😉. This location is very relaxing. Plan for a couple hours or more to enjoy the quiet, rural lifestyle. TIP: if you have any concerns about your pup(s) going down the driveway, feel free to close the gate for added safety. Note: We are raising money to renovate the cottage located on the property by hosting a Sniffspot. Please do not explore inside the house, a roof collapse could happen before we can arrange for it to be replaced.

124 Acre Conservation Farm Trails Fields Fun

Unfenced
124 acres

Follow our FB page for open days. Farm store now open! Swing in before your appointment and grab some retro sodas, dog beer (YES I SAID DOG BEER!), artisan smores kits and so much more! CASHLESS sales at the store please. Malaney Creek Farm is a 124 acre conservation farm comprised of fields, forest and wetlands. 3+ miles of private trails, open grassy fields. Trails are marked to keep you pointed in the right direction. Picnic tables, covered areas to duck out of the weather and portable restroom with hand sanitizer. Your sniffspot staging area is located in what we call our "Cascara" campsite. Covered picnic table, adirondack chairs, firepit and a big green grassy field. This spot is a central location near the portable restroom, easy drive in access, and a base location for exploring the trail network. Our trail system has been a labor of love. We enjoy providing unique experiences and highlighting the natural beauty of the forest and wetlands on the property. Once home to giant cedar trees the property was purchased by the Great Northern Railway in the late 1800's. A railroad system was built here and the giant cedars logged and milled onsite. You wouldn't be able to tell that now as the forest is doing a wonderful job of repairing itself. We do have a few artifacts scattered about that have been found that you will see on your walks. A large concrete trestle base, railway beams, rail spikes and misc metal items from the trains and equipment. Most of our trails accommodate hiking and mountain bikes (yes E-bikes are allowed ;), however the hiking only trails are really evolving. Our new wetlands trail is a quick link between Casacara and the Beargrass island trail. It is foot traffic only and features hand hewn cedar bridges made from cedar logs left behind by the logging operation over 100 years ago! Log rounds to hop across wet areas and places to stop and soak in the quiet. There is a diverse landscape of rare native plants on this hike and foraging opportunities abound! Fiddle head ferns, chicken of the woods and more! Our most prized flora is a large patch of Labrador Tea. A very rare species of plant related to the rhododendron that native american peoples used as a medicinal healing tea. So come out and explore! Bring appropriate footwear, your furry hiking buddies, a bottled water, and a camera. We look forward to hosting you! PLEASE NOTE, IF YOU CANCEL WITHIN THE 2 HOUR WINDOW BEFORE YOUR APPOINTMENT THERE ARE NO REFUNDS. WE BLOCK OUT ALL DAY BOOKINGS FOR SNIFFSPOT APPOINTMENTS. Check out our website, insta and FB page for more photos too! Happy Sniffing!!l

55Hiked even more trails we hadn’t discovered yet. The pups had a BLAST. Creek play is always the first pit stop. All the trail signs make it feel like such an adventure land. We love this place and the dogs ZONK out for hours afterwards.

55The perfect doggy playground! Gorgeous property with a well-maintained network of forested trails to explore, creeks to splash in, and some grassy flat areas to zoom around. Note that to get to the off-leash area from the main/front entrance, you'll need to walk your leashed dogs past a bunch of (very friendly) farm animals. Super cool to see, but it feels like running the gauntlet for me with excited, prey-driven, and strong sled dogs. But they have a new parking area at the back of their property now which avoids having to walk past the farm animals. Also, the property is very sloped, and can be tiring to walk up and down. Wear good shoes--if you visit after a very heavy rain (as we did), some places may be muddy. The hosts are super kind people who obviously put a ton of effort into maintaining their property. We're looking forward to visiting again!

There are so many fun little trails to explore, as well as a creek for the pups to play in. One of my dogs had never seen goats before & I wasn’t sure how she would react, but John let me know there is a separate access point where you do not have to walk through the animals’ pasture. This place is beautiful & is out new favorite hang out spot!

55Gorgeous, well-maintained property. John and Stephanie were so nice and helpful. My reactive dog has never been so happy as she was running and exploring their sniff spot. We will 100% be back this summer.

55Just when I had thought this was the most beautiful nature trail, SPRING made it even more amazing! A scene from a magical fairytale 🧚‍♀️ with birds chirping and everything 💕 The ultimate Sniffspot experience! Biggie of course just let loose and ran around exploring. It was very clean, not one poop in sight 😄 The poop bucket was very convenient and easy to find! Very safe and the mossy/grass ground made his paws very happy 🐾 I love the cute signs, bridges, and all the quirky little details 🤗 So thankful that John and Stephanie are willing to share the space they put so much work in to all the wild babies to play and explore 🐶 Thanks for the wonderful experience every time. We all enjoyed it so much, not just Biggie 🤪

55Another fun day for Cooper and us at the farm. Stephanie is a wonderful host. We really enjoy getting to meet all her farm animals. Can't say enough about the fun Cooper has running the trails and playing with his ball in the creeks. Thanks again for sharing your sniff spot.

55Today we opened another season of our visits to the farm . Riley was beyond himself, when recognised the road & we were pleased to find it clean , well cared for and with many improvements : cleared space by the sandy beach , new bridges and whimsical signs , cozy benches both in the shade and sun. Thoughtful hosts did everything for the dogs and their humans to feel welcomed .

55We love Spring Acres! We come here so often it’s like our home away from home. John and Stephanie are great hosts - so friendly and responsive. They are always making improvements to the property too. There was a lot of storm damage this winter and they have cleared out the major portion of it - cleared faillen limbs and trees, and have added new bridges. They’ve added new signs too to help identify the various trails. The spring time is so beautiful here too but be sure to wear boots or waterproof shoes as the many of the trails are quite muddy. This spot is definitely worth the drive, speaking of which, I always enjoy the country drive to the property - good roads and a peaceful, pastoral view.

FAQ about our Maple Valley dog hiking trails

Are dog hiking trails safe?
While public dog parks have a number of safety issues, such as aggressive dogs, inattentive owners, disease transmission and general cleanliness, Sniffspot dog parks are much safer than a city or county park. With a Sniffspot off-leash area all bookings are private for just you and dogs you bring with you and we require all dogs to be vaccinated (or have equivalent titers). All Sniffspot locations are vetted and reviewed by guests so you can find the perfect place for you and your dog. 93% of reviews on Sniffspot visits are 5 stars. Our hiking trails tend to be outside the city, which lends to more privacy, but it is also important to follow typical hiking safety precautions, such as potentially having trail maps.
How can I find dog hiking trails in Maple Valley?
There are 17 dog hiking trails in the Maple Valley area. The most popular dog hiking trail is Gina's 24 Acre Partially Fenced Private Dog Park In Bonney Lake. You can browse all of our dog hiking trails here.
How do I know if a dog hiking trail works for my dog?
Sniffspot provides the tools to find the ideal spot. Start by applying basic filters, such as fencing 6 feet tall and distractions, to find a dog park with trails that works for your dog. You can also filter by size if you are looking for a certain acre park, an expansive off-leash dog park. If your dog doesn't have good recall, you can visit one of our fully fenced dog hiking trails. If your dog is reactive to other dogs, you can visit one of our dog hiking trails where there are no dogs audible or visible nearby. Since you are looking for trails, make sure to check photos to see if it the spot has flat trails or gnarly trails. You can also browse by specific amenities, if you are looking for a view or a beach, for instance, or other activities or fun features. You can check whether the spot has off or on street parking, the regular park hours, whether it has paved trails or a modern restroom.
What are the requirements to bring my dog to a Sniffspot dog hiking trail?
In order to hike the trails, we require that all dogs have basic vaccinations or equivalent titers. We do not permit dogs with a bite history. We require that guests sign our waiver and agree to follow our safety rules.
Will there be other dogs at the Sniffspot hiking trail at the same time as me?
Sniffspot only allows one booking at a time and any host dogs are required to be kept away from the spot during visits. We also enforce 30 min time buffers between bookings.
How much do Sniffspot hiking trails cost?
Dog hiking trails in the Maple Valley area range from $10.0 and $25.0. The least expensive dog hiking trail is Indoor/Outdoor Full Lit Facility/Doggy Play Area with Amenities. The most expensive dog hiking trail is Tripper's Creekside Fenced Park 5.9Acre RAIN SHELTER & FULL LIGHTS for After Dark Water Training Obstacles Picnic Table Chairs.
