The Doggy Dome

We live on 15 acres, and now have 1.5 acres fully fenced! It is all very flat land making for an easy stroll with your dogs. We are boarded on two edges by farm fields and two edges by neighbors. There is a trail that circles the property, with plenty of space to explore. During the summer, please take advantage of the small kiddie pool. There are also toys and chairs in the fenced area for all guests. Some seasonal things to keep in mind: Spring/fall when we have heavy rain, some areas could have standing water and/or be muddy. Mid to late summer, there are fox tails (cheat grass) that can cling to your dogs. Winter, the trails might not be plowed. There will be a 5gal bucket in the wood shed (inside the fenced area) full of water you can use to refill the two water bowls. Keep an eye out for trip hazards! Logs, sticks, uneven ground and holes.

Ray's Private Dog Park In Edwall

The 50 acres is mostly timber, with a 7 acre pond that has water in it most of the year. It will dry up on really hot years. I do have chickens and pack goats by the house. But they are inside mesh fencing, so your dogs won’t be able to get to them. The 50 acres is completely fenced with a 3 to 5 strand Barbwire fence. It’s in good shape. It is also the property boundary. So as long as you stay inside of the fence, you will be on the property. There are not a lot of neighbors but the ones I have are nice. When you come up the driveway, you can pass the house and drive up on the hill and Park at the conex container. There is lots of wildlife on the property, and I highly recommend that your dog has some sort of tick repellent, we do have ticks in the spring time. The upper part of the driveway is not graveled, so if there’s melting snow, or a lot of ran, it can get muddy. So be prepared for that. Great communication from the host. It was a little muddy when we went (which the host informed us of), but good muck boots worked fine. I loved having the opportunity to let our dogs run around the property and explore a bit off-leash.

Our first time here. It would help if the SniffSpot sign was closer or more visible from the road, we both drove past. The fence area was great. There was a shelter, but it appeared to be more for storage.

Our girls, Torvi and Polaris, enjoyed exploring The Doggy Dome! The fenced area was nicely treed and great to allow our girls plenty of space to run around and play fetch with the security of containing our high prey driven pup. The walking path around the property was well marked, flat, and had lots of new smells for the girls to sniff out. We look forward to coming back!

The gps took us to the right place but the added directions and signs were super helpful. The fenced area was flat and a good size for the pups to get out all their energy. We only explored the fenced area this time but really enjoyed the space.

This was my first time going to a sniff spot. My 2yr old border collie LOVED it, she ran for the majority of our 2hrs here. She enjoyed all the smells and was very intrigued by what looked like a baby bunny under the woodshed. The birds were singing, the sun was shining and seeing how happy Opal was just made it a perfect first experience. 10/10

In order to hike the trails, we require that all dogs have basic vaccinations or equivalent titers. We do not permit dogs with a bite history. We require that guests sign our waiver and agree to follow our safety rules.

Will there be other dogs at the Sniffspot hiking trail at the same time as me?

Sniffspot only allows one booking at a time and any host dogs are required to be kept away from the spot during visits. We also enforce 30 min time buffers between bookings.
